HM Magnets American Flag Magnets for Trucks and Cars
STEP 1: UNPACK FLAGS & IDENTIFY FRONT SIDE
Unpack each magnetic flag from its bag and identify its front (non-magnetic) side. The front side will always be where the stars are on the top left (except the reverse flag version, which has an identifying sticker on its bag). On colored flag packages (white/red/blue), the front (non-magnetic) side is colored and easy to identify, and on black flag packages, the front is a glossy darker black, compared to the back (magnetic) side, which is a slightly lighter black.
STEP 2: APPLY MAGNETS ONLY A PROPER SURFACE
Ensure the surface material the flag will be applied to is clean and dry. For
car application, the metal surface should be waxed following manufacturer’s
instructions. Make sure the entire flag is applied. To achieve this, please
apply on one flat surface area, and not over molding, seams of body panels, or
an area with bumps on the vehicle.
Note: Does the magnetic flag not stick to your car? This likely means
your car is unfortunately not magnetic. Most cars have steel bodies, but some
are aluminum instead (including newer F150 trucks), and therefore, do not work
with magnets of any kind. You can verify that the flag is not defective by
testing it on your kitchen fridge, or alternately, try to apply a fridge
magnet on your car.
STEP 3: ALIGN THE FLAG LINES IF NEEDED
Once the flag is applied, you can fix and align the lines so they will be all parallel if needed. Now you can just stand back and admire your new magnetic flags!
ROUTINE CARE / CAR WASHES
Please take off the flag during a car wash to avoid any flag damages. In addition, overtime, some moisture and dirt may collect between the flag and metal surface. Remove and clean the magnet and the metal surface and allow both to dry. Please don’t hesitate to contact us if you need support or have any issues whatsoever with the product!
