Servo Programming Instruction for
New Hitec HS-SOXX Series Micro Digital Servos

Please peruse the nformation below for proper programming of the servos.
For Programming HS-50XX Digital Feather/Micro Servos
(HS-50XX series : Currently HS-5055MG, 5056MG, 5065MG, 5082MG and 5085MG)
- New programming function(Over oad protect on setting) has been added to Hitec’s new digital feather / micro servos stated above.
- The new function is NOT available n conventional HS-5XXX and HS-6XXX digital servos.
- The new function can be programmed by Hitec Servo Programmer(HFP-20) and Hitec PC Link Programmer(HPP-21).
- For more detailed informat on, please refer to the manual of HFP-20 and HPP-21.
- Important Note: This new function (Overload protection setting) CANNOT be programmed by HFP-10, prev ous version of Hitec Servo Programmer.

*Overload protection : This funct on is to protect the servo(HS-50XX servos) from the overload condition. Once the servo is overloaded for a certain period of time, the motor output will be reduced to the evel that the user programmed to the servo. Please note that this function s deactivated (off) in factory setting.

7975HB)
- New programming funct ons(Resolution mode setting and Overload protection sett ng) have been added to Hitec HS-?XXX series.
- These new functions are NOT available in Hitec HS-5XXX and HS-6XXX digital servos.
- These new functions can be programmed by Hitec Servo Programmer(HFP-20) and Hitec PC Link Programmer(HPP-21) as well.
- For more detailed information, please refer to the manual of HFP-20 and HPP-21.

*Overload protection:* This function is to protect the servo(HS-?XXX
servos) from the overload condition. Once the servo s over oaded for a certain

programmed to the servo. Please note that this function is deact vated (off) n
factory setting.
Resolution mode setting:** There are two resolution modes(High and Normal)
in HS-?XXX servos. Factory default is set at “High” resolution, and servo
travel will be 120 degrees.
If the user needs to widen the servo travel, the user may select “Norma ”
resolut on so that the servo travel can be widened to the maximum of 180
degrees.
