Maxpearl 1 Digital Waxing Kit
Brief Guide
-
READY
Hair should be 1/4 inch long to wax effectively. Your skin should be clean and dry. -
SET
Put wax into the wax warmer and allow the beads to melt until it’s the consistency of honey. -
TEST
Test a small amount of melted wax on the inside of your wrist to make sure that it’s not too hot. -
APPLY
Using the applicator, apply the wax in the direction of hair growth. Work in small manageable sections. -
COOL
Wait for 30-45 seconds and allow the wax to harden. It’s ready to remove as soon as it’s no longer sticky to the touch. -
PULL
Hold skin taut. Flick the edge of the wax-up and pull quickly in the opposite direction of hair growth.
Pro Tips
-
Cut hair first if necessary
Although your hair needs to be at least a quarter inch to be waxed, hair that’s too long can make waxing more complicated and painful.
The American Academy of Dermatology (AAD) recommends trimming hair to three- quarters of an inch. Trim hair using a clean personal grooming tool, such as an electronic trimmer or safety scissors. -
Exfoliate
A day or two before you wax, gently exfoliate with a mild scrub, brush, mitt, or loofah to remove dead skin cells that surround the hair follicles.
Exfoliating helps loosen existing ingrown hairs and improves your waxing results. Just make sure to be gentle — if you scrub too hard you could irritate your skin, which isn’t ideal for waxing. -
Cleanse
Always start your waxing session with freshly washed skin. Scrub up with a mild soap to remove any germs, sweat, oil, makeup, dirt, or other residue.
Grime increases your chance of incurring infected bumps, and oily skin and hair can prevent wax from sticking. -
Dry
Wax won’t adhere to wet hair, either. So dry the area thoroughly with a clean towel.
Add a little powder — cornstarch is a safe alternative to talcum powder if you’re concerned about talc’s potential link to cancer.
Powder can help sop up moisture if you’re sweating from heat, or humidity, or because you’re nervous about waxing. It also helps protect the skin during the pull.
How to Wax on Different Parts?
- EYEBROWS
- Before waxing: brush, cut, and shape the eyebrow.
- Use Vaseline or coconut oil to prevent the wax from sticking to any hair that you want to keep.
- Apply in small sections and use the little spatula.
- Use caution, and don’t let any wax get in contact with the eye.
- UPPER LIP, CHIN, AND CHEEKS
- Wax your lip in three sections, left, right, and middle.
- Wax in small sections since facial hair can grow in swirls.
- Make sure the wax is NOT too hot.
- UNDERARMS
- Note the direction of hair growth before starting. You may have to apply wax several times if the hair grows in different directions.
- Applying against hair growth may be necessary to remove stubborn hair thoroughly.
- BIKINI / BRAZILIAN
- Have a mirror near you.
- Sit on the floor or bed with a towel under as protection and the soles of your feet touching.
- The wax from the outside of the hairline, where the hair is the thinnest, and work your way in.
- Apply the wax against the direction of hair growth. Work in small manageable sections.
- Hold your skin stretched when removing the wax, especially in sensitive areas.

Troubleshooting Q&A
-
Why didn’t the wax remove all my hair?
- The hair was too short. The ideal length for the wax to grip and remove hair from the root is 0.25inch-0.75inch (0.6cm-2cm).
- The wax was too cool. Heat the wax until it’s the consistency of honey.
- Sometimes hair grows in multiple directions. Try a second application while applying the wax in an alternate direction.
- If hair remains after 2-3 passes, it’s best to clean up with tweezers.
- Apply more pressure with the applicator. Firm pressure ensures each hair is shrink-wrapped with wax.
-
How long does a wax last?
This varies from person to person dependent upon how fast your hair grows. Everyone is different! With that said, most often, people are ready for a wax every four to six weeks. -
How long should my hair growth be?
We advise waiting until your hair is at least ¼ inch in length (around the size of a grain of rice). If your hair is too short, there won’t be enough length for the wax to grip it, and your results won’t be successful. -
Are there any concerns I should be aware of?
- Avoid applying wax to moles, warts, mucous tissue, and sunburned or irritated skin.
- Do not use wax if you’re taking Retin-A or Accutane.
- Do not wax after plastic surgery or a chemical peel until approved by a physician.
- Avoid sun and hot water for 8 hours after use.
-
Do I need cloth strips?
Nope. No cloth strips are needed with hard wax -
Is that normal If the wax warmer auto turns on and off?
- This wax warmer has an AUTOMATIC POWER-OFF FUNCTION
- When wax is warmer in a hot temperature, the indicator light will turn down automatically and turn on when the temperature is low.
Best Practices For Painless Waxing
-
Test wax temperature
Applying a small patch to your outer wrist can help you gauge if the heated wax is too hot to proceed. It should be hot, but tolerable. -
Apply wax in the direction of hair growth
Whether you’re using wax with strips or a stripless wax, always smooth wax onto the skin following the grain. Apply your strip in the same direction. Avoid double-dipping your applicator in your wax container, as this can introduce bacteria to your wax. -
Pull in the opposite direction
When you’re ready to pull, hold your skin taut with one hand by pulling it slightly in the direction of hair growth. Then, use the other hand to pull off the strip or wax in the opposite direction in one fast, swift motion. -
Ease the pain of the pull
To minimize the sting, take a deep breath and exhale as you pull fast. Then place a hand on the just-waxed skin to calm it.
APPLICATION
- Apply wax following the direction of hair growth
- Remove AGAINST the hair growth
