BIALETTI VENUS Stainless Steel Coffee Maker User Manual
WARNINGS
Read the instructions carefully as they contain important information about safety, use and maintenance o the product. IMPORTANT: READ THIS MANUAL THOROUGHLY AND KEEP IT WITH CARE FOR FUTURE REFERENCE.
- Keep this manual with care or uturereerence. This manual is an integral part o the product and, throughout the entire lie o the product, must be kept and be available. The documentation should be given to the subsequent owners o the product.
- Attention: this code maker requires a heat source or its operation and develops pressure inside. Failure to comply with the instructions may cause the risk o burn or the coee maker burst.
- Before each use, make sure the coee maker is not damaged and is complete with all its parts. Furthermore, check the valve, the funnel, the gasket, and the lter plate are intact and properly positioned, as shown on the gore. In case o doubts, contact the dealer or the manufacturer.
- This appliance is not intended or use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack o experience and knowledge.
- Keep out o reach o children.
- Do not leave the appliance unattended during operation.
- Do not leave the children in the proximity o the operating coee maker.
- Do not touch the hot surface o the coee maker. The surfaces get hot, therefore use the handle and the knob to move the coee maker.
- Use the coee maker or the purpose which it was designed for.
- The product is intended or household use only.
- Never use the coee maker without water in the heater.
- Never use other liquids in the heater or the upper part, the coee maker is intended to be used with water only.
- The coee maker is designed to be used only with water and ground coee or Mocha or household use: do not use other products (e.g. barley, cocoa, coee extracts, tea, COFFEE FOR PERCOLATING FILTERS OR ESPRESSO MACHINES, …).
- Make sure the steam jet rom the safety valve is not oriented towards the user.
- Make sure the coee maker is properly closed before use.
- After use, allow the coee maker to cool down before opening it.
- After use, place the coee maker on suitable surfaces, as its base reaches high temperatures. Do not store it in contact with amiable surfaces that might deteriorate with the heat.
- Only choose original Bralette spare parts suitable or the model used.
- Never use the coee maker in the oven or in a microwave.
- When using a gas heat source, the amen must not go beyond the rim o the heater.
- In case o electric/ceramic hob, do not use the highest heat, but maintain a medium setting.
- Do not open or close the coee maker using the handle.
- During use, close the lid o the coee maker.
- In case o malfunctioning, do not use the product and contact the dealer or the manufacturer.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
When using the codemaker or the rest time, wash it thoroughly, only with water, and make at least three cups of coee, discarding them (do not drink them), following the instructions below. Check the coee maker is complete with all its components and is properly positioned, as shown in the gore. Check the coee maker is complete with valve, funnel lter, gasket seal and lter plate and that these parts are in the correct position (6-5-3-2).
HOW TO MAKE COFFEE
- Fill the heater (4) with cold water up to the lower edge o the safety valve (6), Fig. (A).
- Insert the funnel lter (5) into the heater (4) Fig. (B).
- Fill the funnel lter (5) with ground coee or Mocha, without pressing it down, taking care not to leave coee powder on the edge o the coee maker, Fig. (C).
- Screw the upper part (1) on the heater (4) and tighten well, without pressing too much and avoiding to orca the handle (7), Fig. (D).
- Put the coee maker on the heat source. In case o amen, keep it low so that it does not go beyond the rim o the coee unit. In case o electric/ceramic glass plate, do not use the highest heat, Fig. (E).
- When the upper unit (1) is full o coee, remove the coee maker rom the heat source and pour.
At the end o dispensing there might be some water in the heater. Such residue helps avoid possible changes in colour o the heater surface in case the coee maker is let on the heat source for a prolonged period of time after dispensing.
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
Beore carrying out cleaning and maintenance, wait or the appliance to cool completely.
IT IS RECOMMENDED TO CARRY OUT A PERIODIC MAINTENANCE OF THE MACHINE TO KEEP THE PRODUCT IN GOOD WORKING ORDER FOR A LONGER PERIOD.

Ater each use, wash with warm water (the product can be put in the dishwasher, but it is recommended to hand wash without detergent in order not to alter the coee avour).

Do not use detergents and/or abrasive materials when washing.

Do not reassemble the coee maker when storing it ater washing.

Do not beat the unnel to remove the coee, as it might get damaged or get ovalized.

Store the product perectly dry in all its parts and not closed.

Regularly perorm the decalcication procedure:
– Fill the heater with water up to the level.
– Add two teaspoons o citric acid or vinegar.
– Reassemble the product and, without adding the coee powder, dispense once.
– Throw away the solution obtained.
– Then proceed according to the instructions o the section “Product rst use”. -
Regularly check that the holes o the lter plate are not obstructed, otherwise open them using a brush with delicate bristles or a needle.

Periodically check the internal components and, in case o wearing or damage, replace them only with original Bialetti spare parts suitable or the model used.

Replace the gasket, i worn. It is recommended to replace it at least once a year anyway.
BIALETTI INSPECTION SAFETY VALVE (6)
The Bralette valve has been patented and designed to guarantee the use o the coee maker in complete safety. Using the coee maker with drinking water might entail the risk o oration o lime scale in the hole o the valve, causing its clogging. To avoid clogging arising rom lime scale, just move the small piston coming out o the valve along its axis during the normal washing operations, Fig. (F). It is advisable to carry out this inspection periodically to ensure its proper operation. The safety valve is a protective element and should intervene only in conditions o abnormal operation or use o the coee maker.
