INDOOR DOG BEHAVIOR TRAINING SYSTEM

Train your dog to stay away from certain rooms, areas, or pieces of furniture in your apartment, condo or home.

WHAT’S IN THE BOX

HOW IT WORKS

The Pet Sensor System (PSS) is a behavioral training tool that can help you train your dog to stay away from certain rooms, areas, or pieces of furniture in your apartment, condo or home. (It is not designed to be used outdoors or in your yard).
The PSS Device is worn by the dog and uses a combination of vibration (buzz) and beeping (sound), and an optional electrical stimulation feature (multi- level shock) to train your dog.

BEACON TYPES

There are shorter range beacons (S) for small boundaries, and longer range beacons (L) for larger boundaries. There is also a kill beacon (K) expressly for your dog leash. This allows you to walk around the house and “Kill” the vibration (buzz), beeping (sound), and optional electrical stimulation feature.
This is convenient when getting ready to take your dog for a walk, or just going in and out of the house.

BEACON PLACEMENTS

The PSS beacons are placed in key areas where you do not want the dog to go. (furniture, bathroom, kitchen, living room, doorways, etc.)

OPTIONAL ELECTRICAL STIMULATION

Some dogs can be trained with just vibration (buzz) and beeping (sound). Many dogs may need the optional electrical stimulation feature. Using the optional electrical stimulation feature must be done carefully and in a responsible manner. The optional electrical stimulation is intended to catch the dog’s attention, and never to harm the dog. The optional electrical stimulation should only cause discomfort, not pain.
Never start the electrical stimulation feature strength at high levels. Always turn the electrical stimulation feature setting off after your dog starts conforming to the boundaries you set.
They will remember the past electrical stimulation, along with the always present vibration (buzz) and beeping (sound). For stubborn or difficult dogs, you can move the electrical stimulation setting higher, and then turn the feature off when the dog starts to conform.

HOW TO USE WITH BEACONS

The PSS Device comes with 5 beacons (additional beacons can be ordered).
The shorter and longer beacons can be used strategically in different areas that you want to protect.

A shorter range beacon, for example, may be best suited on a couch or bed, because the dog has to be in a close proximity to the furniture for the device to be activated. However, they are still allowed in the room. A longer range beacon may be better suited to the kitchen, because a dog is generally allowed in a dining room, or living room, if the house or apartment is small.

KILL BEACON

The Kill beacon is used to override the short and long beacons. To use the kill beacon, attach it to your dog’s leash by the clip end with the provided o-split keyring, and when you walk by one of the S or L beacons, it will not trigger the buzz, beep, and (if enabled) electrical stimulation.

Use the kill beacon by placing it near the device when you and your dog are walking by one of the ranged beacons.
Use the piece of provided double sided tape to affix the short and longer range beacons to walls or counters. You do not need to use the tape if you want to slide it into a couch or bed; it is up to you how you want to use these beacons.
When the PSS Device is on, it is always listening for signals from the beacons.
Beacon battery life is 1+ years with regular use.
