IKEA 405.131.02 VITMÄRLA Frying Pan

IKEA-405-131-02-VITMÄRLA-Frying-Pan-PRODUCT-IMAGEBefore first use

  • Before using this product for the first time, wash, rinse and dry thoroughly.
Care and cleaning
  • The frying pan is dishwasher safe.
  • To hand wash your frying pan, clean it thoroughly after each use. The frying pan is made of stainless steel and has an abrasionresistant coating that resists abrasives and steel wool.
  • To maintain its shine, wipe the frying pan dry after washing to avoid water stains and limescale deposits. White spots and marks that still appear may be removed with a little white vinegar diluted in lukewarm water. Wash, rinse and dry the pan afterwards.
  • The base is slightly concave when cold but expands to flatten out when heated. Always leave the product to cool before cleaning it. This allows the base to regain its shape and helps to prevent it from becoming uneven with use.
How to use
  • Before cooking, make sure the frying pan is thoroughly clean so the frying pan and its coating can perform at its best. White spots and marks due to limescale deposits should be removed according to the care and cleaning instructions.
  • For best cooking results, set the cooking zone to two-thirds of its maximum heat since the pan spreads heat very evenly and efficiently. Use cooking fat like butter or oil so that food releases easier from the surface.

Good to know

  • The cookware is suitable for use on all types of cooking zones and in the oven.
  • The frying pan has an abrasion-resistant coating that is suitable for use with abrasives, steel wool and metal utensils. Although the frying pan is highly scratch resistant, it is not scratch proof. Metal utensils might leave small marks and scratches, but it does not affect the performance of the frying pan.
  • Never let the cookware boil dry. This is because the base becomes skewed when overheated.
  • By placing the cookware on a cooking zone with the same or a smaller diameter as the pan, you can save energy.
  • Always lift the cookware when moving it on a glass ceramic hob to avoid the risk of scratching the hob.
  • If you have any problems with the product, please contact your nearest IKEA store/ Customer Service or see www.ikea.com.
