Product Usage Instructions
Step 1: Determine the Correct Flange Size
The Flange Guide helps you identify the correct breast shield size for
effective pumping. Follow the steps below to determine the appropriate flange
size:
- Place the Flange Guide against your breast, ensuring it covers your nipple.
- Observe the fit and compare it to the descriptions provided below:
Too Small
If during pumping, some or your entire nipple rubs against the sides of the
breast shield tunnel, the flange size is too small.
Good Fit
If during pumping, your nipple can move freely in the breast shield tunnel,
and you have space around your nipple with not much of the areola drawn into
the tunnel, then the flange size is suitable.
Too Large
If during pumping, more of your areola is drawn into the breast shield
tunnel along with your nipple, and you experience your areola rubbing up
against the side of the breast shield tunnel, the flange size is too large.
Step 2: Using the Flange Guide
Once you have determined the correct flange size, follow these steps to use
the Flange Guide:
- Attach the chosen breast shield (flange) to your breast pump.
- Place the Flange Guide against your breast, aligning it with the breast shield.
- Ensure that your nipple is centred within the guide’s opening.
