Please read this manual before operating the KCMultiNV and keep it handy.
This gadget is the best of its kind on the market today and is great to use for gathering evidence for covert missions or for insurance disputes.
Conserve battery and storage space by having the DVR only record when it detects motion. It is capable of recording 1280*960 resolution video for 40 continuous minutes, supports up to 16 GB MicroSD cards, and has a battery life of 2 hours.

OPERATING THE MULTI LOOK ALIKE KEYCHAIN

IMPORTANT NOTICE: Allow your device to charge 6 – 8 hours before using.

HOW TO CHARGE THE MULTI-LOOK ALIKE KEYCHAIN

  1. Plug the USB cable into your PC.
  2. Plug the USB cable into the keychain’s USB port.
  3. The red light will remain solid while charging.

HOW TO TURN THE DEVICE ON

  1. Push and hold the On / Off Button for 2 seconds.
  2. The indicator light will be turn on red.
  3. The solid red indicator light means the keychain is now in standby mode.

HOW TO TURN THE DEVICE OFF

  1. Push and hold the On / Off Button for 2 seconds.
  2. The indicator light will flash red and blue 3 times, red once and then turn off.
  3. The device is now turned off.

HOW TO USE VIDEO RECORDING

  1. Turn on the device so that it is in standby mode.
  2. Push and hold the Photo / Video Button for about 3 seconds.
    • The red indicator light will flash 3 times.
  3. You can now release the Photo / Video Button.
  4. The keychain is now recording live video.
  5. To stop recording, simply turn off the device (the red light will blink several times quickly).

HOW TO USE THE PHOTO CAMERA

  1. Turn on the device so that it is in standby mode.
  2. Push — without holding — the Photo/Video Button.
  3. The red indicator light will blink once each time you push the Photo Button.
  4. The keychain has taken a photograph.

HOW TO USE MOTION DETECTION

  1. Turn on the device so that it is in standby mode.
  2. Push and hold the Motion Detect Button.
    • The red light will flash 6 times.
  3. The camera will not record live video until motion is detection.
  4. The device will record video for 3 minutes once motion is detected.
    • If motion is still being detected at the end of 3 minutes, the camera will begin recording another 3 minutes of video.
    • If no further motion is detected, the device will enter standby mode until motion is again detected.
  5. To stop motion detection, simply turn off the device.

SETTING THE DATE/TIME STAMP

  1. Visit http://mgidownloads.com/Date_Time_Set/

  2. Choose “KCMultiNV” and your time zone in the dropdowns and click download.

  3. Plug in the device or plug in the SD Card into your computer using a SD card reader (not provided).

  4. Right click and copy the downloaded time file.

  5. Locate “Removable Disk” inside the (My) Computer folder.

  7. Open the Removable Disk

  8. Right click with your mouse and paste the downloaded time file.

  9. Alternatively, if you cannot get the above method to work, do the following:

  10. Right click anywhere in the blank white space.

  11. Scroll down to “New”.

  12. Click “Text Document”.

  13. Rename “New Text Document” as “time”.
    The title must be in all lowercase letters!

  14. Open the text document.

  15. Enter the date/time in the following format:
    a. 2021.06.31 23:57:30

  16. Save the text document.

  17. Power on the device and begin a test recording to confirm the date/time was set successfully.

HOW TO RETRIEVE FILES TO PC

  1. Plug the keychain into your PC using the USB cable.

  2. Locate “Removable Disk” inside the (My) Computer folder.

    • AutoPlay Removable Disk > Open folder to view files
      Or…

    • Go to Start > Computer > Removable DiskMini Gadgets KCMultiNV Multi Look Alike Keychain-9

  3. Open the Removable Disk drive.

  4. Open the “DCIM” folder.

  5. Open the “100DSCIM” folder.

  6. Double click on the file you want to view.

    • VLC Players are recommended for watching videos.

TROUBLESHOOTING

THE DEVICE WON’T TURN ON

  • Charge the device for at least 8 hours before the first use.
  • Make sure the charging cable is securely inserted into the device and into the power source.

THE DEVICE ISN’T CHARGING

  • Replace the battery or the charging cable.

NEW FILES ARE REPLACING THE OLD FILES STILL ON MY DEVICE

  • The SD card has a limited amount of space to store files. Once theSD card is full, the newest files will begin to replace the oldestfiles.
  • On a regular basis, you need to cut & paste the old files from thedevice to a separate folder on your PC.

THE DEVICE HAS CRASHED

  • Reset the keychain.

MY COMPUTER DOESN’T RECOGNIZE THE DEVICE

  • Unplug the keychain from your PC and reboot the keychain.
  • Unplug the keychain from your PC and reboot your PC.
  • Try using another USB slot on your PC.
  • Replace the USB cable.

THE VIDEO IS UNCLEAR

  • The keychain needs charging.
  • The keychain may need to be reset.
