• PCIE-U302A 2-Ports PCI Express USB 3.1 GEN 1 type A 5Gbps expansion card is based on AS Media ASM 1042 USB 3.1 GEN 1 host controller. It is designed on PCIE X1 signal, will provide 5Gbps total bandwidth for 2X USB-A ports. It will allow desktop PCs to add 2X 5Gbps max USB 3.1 GEN 1 type A ports for USB device data transfer including USB HDD/SSD enclosures, USB universal docki -ng stations ,USB Hubs, USB KVM switchs, VR-system, USB graphic adapters and more. Built in Links Tek Smart Power Distribution Technology allow USB card to get 5V/2A 10W power on each port.
• PCIE-U305A 5-Ports PCI Express USB 3.1 GEN 1 type A 5Gbps expansion card is based on ASMedia ASM1042 USB 3.1 GEN 1 host controller and ASM1074 USB 3.1 GEN 1 HUB. It is designed on PCIE X1 signal. provide 5Gbps total bandwidth for 5X USB-A ports. It will allow desktop PCs to add 5X USB-A 5Gbps max USB 3.1 GEN 1 ports for USB device data transfer including USB HDD/SSD enclosures ,USB universal docking stations, USB hubs, USB KVM switch, VR-system,USB graphic adapters and more USB devices. Built in Links Tek Smart Power Distribution Technology allow USB card to get 5V/2A 10W power on each port.

Linkstek Smart Power Distribution Technology is a new solution to add-on enough power on USB expansion cards. The previous USB card power solution picks up power by an SATA/4Pin cable from PCs PSU.Actually PCIE device canget 75W(12V/6.25A) max power from mother board .The Smart Power Distribution technology transfer 12V/6.25A to 5V/15A max by added on voltage transformers .Then allocate the power to each USB port 5V/2A max. Built in safety electric circuit protector. voltage stable inductance and voltage capacitor on each USB port make sure users never burn USB devices. LinksTek also built the second power option on USB cards. The SATA power port on the board will ensure some old type mother board that can not provide enough power to pick up power from the PCs PSU. Dual mode power supply will make sure all users to light up more USB devices in high speed.

Driver free on Windows 11, 10,8.1,8 and Windows Server 2012,2012R2,2016,2019,2022 (32164bit) systems. Need to install driver on Windows Server 2003,2003R2,2008, 2008R2,XP,7,Vista (32/64) systems

Add USB Card on Desktop PCs

• Step1 , Switch OFF PC, unplug computer from main socket, unplug power cord and other connected peripherals. Remove the cover from computer case

• Step2, Find correct PCI Express slot from motherboard, insert USB card into an empty PCI-E slot.

• Step3, Reattach the computer cover, and put back removed peripherals, power on desktop computer.

Check If USB Card Works on Computers

1. Users can plug universal USB devices such as USB flash drives, keyboards, mouse etc. Check if computer can find these devices. If system read USB device, means no need to install driver and can use these added-on USB ports now.
2. Find this added on USB card hardware in Windows system “Device Manager” and check if system read it.

• A, Means PCs find hardware and need to install driver.
• B, Means USB card hardware correctly placed and system loaded driver already. can use USB ports now.
• C. Means PCs can not find the added on USB card and not load driver for USB card. Users need to re-plug USB card on motherboard PCIE slot, or users better change to another active PCIE slot for this USB card.

Install Driver on Desktop PCs

1. PCIE-U302A and PCIE-U305A are based on ASMedia USB 3.1 Gen1 host controller. These models share the same installation steps on Windows 11, 10,8.1,8, 7 ,Vista,XP (32164bit) and Windows Server 2003,2003R2,2008, 2008R2,2012,2012R2,2016,2019,2022 (32164bit).
2. Most of Windows 11, 10,8.1,8 (32164bit) and Windows server 2012,2012R2,2016,2019,2022 systems will auto -load driver. If it can not read on users system but read “Unknown Device” in Windows “Device Manager” with “Error Code 10″means users need change it on an active PCIE slot.
3. Most of Windows 7,Vista,XP (32164bit} and Windows server 2003,2003R2,2008,2008R2 (32164bit) system will read as “Unknown Device” in “Device Manager”, install driver please and it will work then.

• Step1, Visit www.linkstek.com-Bottom of homepage, Click “Drivers”, Find model correct number, download “ASM1042″ZIP file and release it .Find “Setup.exe”.
• Step2, Running the driver.

3. Accept the license, click “Next”
4. Waiting for driver installation.
5. The driver was installed, click “Finish”.

   Yes.all ports support USB hubs.

3. ls these added-on ports support Boot up?
   No,Due to motherboard manufactures limitation.All added on card do not support BIOS control.
