Foreword
Thank you for purchasing Aream products!
Aream RST-5500 is a high-performance wireless remote controller, which can remotely control the camera for shooting, with single shot shooting, door B shooting, scheduled shooting, and can control multiple receivers and cameras to shoot at the same time. The transmitter and receiver both use free 2.4GHz channel and are subject to the GFSK modulation mode to achieve more stable performance.
Notes

  • Do not disassemble or modify.
  • This product is not waterproof or dustproof. Do not place this product near the liquid.
  • Keep dry, do not touch the product with wet hands, nor immerse the product in water or expose it to rain, otherwise it may cause fire or electric shock.
  • Please clean this product with soft cloth and neutral detergent. Do not use alcohol or corrosive solvent.
  • Do not use it in flammable gas environment. Violation of this warning may cause explosion or fire.
  • Do not keep this product within the reach of children. This product contains some parts. If the child accidentally swallows the parts, the child should be sent to the hospital immediately.
  • Do not place the product in high temperature. Do not place this product in a closed vehicle under direct sunlight or other extremely high temperature places, or it may cause fire.

Code pairing

Basic settings of transmitter

  1. Half press the shutter of the transmitter. The transmitter blue LED is on, and the camera will focus. Fully press the shutter of the transmitter. The transmitter orange LED is on, and the camera takes photos;

  2. Long press the return / lock button. When icon appears on the interface, it means that the transmitter key is locked. Long press to close.
    Basic settings of receiver

  3. Half press the shutter of the receiver. The receiver blue LED is on, and the camera will focus. Fully press the shutter of the receiver. The receiver orange LED is on, and the camera takes photos.

Timed photography

  1. Pairing transmitter and receiver (code pairing);
  2. Connect the shutter line receiver and the camera with a shutter connecting line, and turn on the camera;
  3. Set the camera to B-door mode.

Delay time. This icon appears on the interface. Press SET to enter.

C : The left and right direction keys are used to switch the settings of hours, m inutes and seconds. RESET is used to reset the settings. After setting DELAY, press th e return key to exit, and then press the left and right direction keys to switch to the settings of other categories

Exposure time. This icon appears on the interface. Press SET to enter

Set the interval time. This icon appears on the interface. Press SET to enter.

Set the number of shots. This icon appears on the interface. Press SET to enter

The up and down direction keys are used to adjust the numerical value of number, ten and hundred
A : The left and right direction keys are used to switch the settings of
C : number, ten and hundred and infinity (no limit on the number of sheets)

Program preset. This icon appears on the interface. Press SET to enter
A : Press the SET key to enter the settings of P1 and P2. LOAD is load and SAVE is save
C : The left and right direction keys are the settings for selecting P1 and P2
After setting PROGRAM, press the return key to exit, and then press the left and right direction keys to switch to the settings of other categories

Master reset settings
The left and right direction keys are used to adjust the sound on or off (on /off)
The left and right direction keys are used to adjust the brightness of the shutter line display screen (3-level adjustment)
The left and right direction keys are used to select whether to restore the factory settings. Press the SET key to confirm
After SETTING, press the back key to exit, and then press the left and right direction keys to switch to the settings of other categories

After setting, press ▶■ start or close the timer.

Installation

  1. Align the hot shoe seat of the camera with the hot shoe of the receiver;
  2. Rotate the locking ring clockwise to fix the hot shoe adapter on the product;
  3. Connect the shutter line receiver and the camera with a shutter connection line.

Install the battery
As shown in the figure, slide the battery box cover on the back of the timing shutter remote controller and install two alkaline batteries.

Connect the product to the camera / hot shoe base

  1. Turn off the receiver;
  2. Slide the bottom of the adapter of the product with the adapter installed into the camera hot shoe base;
  3. Rotate the locking ring clockwise to lock the adapter.

Remove the product from the camera / hot shoe holder

  1. Turn off the receiver;
  2. Rotate the locking ring counterclockwise and remove the adapter from the camera / hot shoe holder.
