PRECAUTIONS FOR SAFE USE

When using our electric slicer, you should follow these basic safety precautions:

  • To protect against risk of electrical shock, DO NOT put appliance in water or other liquid.
  • Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by or near children. This appliance is not recommended for use by children.
  • Unplug from outlet when not in use, before putting on or taking off parts, and before cleaning.
  • Avoid contact with moving parts.
  • Never put the unit near a hot burner, in an oven, or in a dishwasher.
  • DO NOT operate the appliance, or any other electrical equipment, with a damaged cord or plug or after the appliance malfunctions, or is dropped or damaged in any manner. Return to the nearest authorized service center for examination, repair, or adjustment.
  • Never feed food by hand; always use the FOOD PUSHER. Keep hands, hair, clothing and utensils away from moving blades during operation to reduce the risk of personal injury and/or damage to the appliance.
  • DO NOT use outdoors, or use for any purpose other than intended use.
  • WARNING: The CUTTING BLADE is sharp; handle with care both when using and when cleaning.
  • DO NOT let cord hang over edge of table or counter, contact sharp edges, or touch hot surfaces.
  • DO NOT pull on the power cord to disconnect.
  • Never plug in the appliance where water may flood the area.
  • Place the appliance on a firm and stable surface.

NEVER PUT YOUR FINGERS NEAR THE BLADE WHILE SLICER IS IN OPERATION.

  • Ensure that the appliance is not placed close to the edge of the table, worktop, etc. where it can be pushed off or fall.

  • The use of attachments not recommended or sold by the manufacturer may cause fire, electric shock or injury.

  • Never use abrasive cleaning agents or abrasive cloths when cleaning the unit.

  • DO NOT use fingers to scrape food away from CUTTING BLADE while appliance is in operation. Cut type injury may result.

  • Only use the unit when completely assembled.

  • DO NOT leave the appliance unattended while it is running.

  • Before using for the first time, remove all packaging and thoroughly wash all parts with hot soapy water.

  • This appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other).
    To reduce the risk of electric shock, this plug will fit in a polarized outlet only one way. If the plug does not fit the outlet perfectly, reverse the plug.
    If it should still not fit, contact a qualified electrician. DO NOT modify the plug in any way.

  • Check that the control is OFF before plugging the cord into wall outlet. To disconnect, turn the control to OFF, then remove plug from wall outlet.

  • DO NOT place on or near hot gas or electric burner or in a heated oven.

STRUCTURE AND FUNCTIONS

BEFORE YOUR FIRST USE

  1. Make sure the appliance is unplugged from the wall outlet.
  2. Carefully unpack the slicer and accessories, remove all packaging materials, and wash the following removable parts (food pusher and cutting blade) in warm soapy water to remove any dust that may have accumulated during packaging.
  3. Do not immerse the motor base, power cord or plug in water.
  4. Wipe the motor base with a damp cloth.

CAUTION: Blades is extremely sharp and can cause a sever laceration. Please, handle with care.

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS

Step 1:

  1. Scrub the surface of the slicer in contact with food (for example: blade, meat platform)
  2. Remove and Install the blade

REMOVABLE

Press and hold the “press” button and turn clockwise to remove the blade

INSTALL

Hold the lock, align the knife shaft hole and install the blade

Rotate counterclockwise to lock and flatten

If there are other blades, you can install and remove them according to the above steps

NOTE: You will notice white grease on the back of the BLADE as well as in the MOTOR HOUSING. This is a non-toxic FDA approved food grade lubricant and is necessary to keep the motor gears running smoothly.
You can apply Vaseline® as needed.

Step 2:

  1. Place food slicer on a sturdy, flat surface.
  2. Put the partially frozen meat on the meat platform (Thawed frozen meat is partially frozen or frozen fresh meat.)
  3. Check that the switch is turned OFF before plugging in.

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS

Step 3:
Adjust the thickness knob as needed.

Step 4:
Press the On-Off switch to start the slicer.

Step 5:
Place hand on food pusher and smoothly slide carriage left and right.
NEVER USE YOUR FINGERS DIRECTLY.

Continual juicing time ≤10 min
Time interval ≥5 min

You can turn off the slicer at any time and check for desired thickness and adjust accordingly with the slice control knob, and then repeat steps 4 and 5 again.

Step 6:
After all your slicing is done, turn the slicer off and unplug.

Note:

  1. The Food Slicer has been designed to operate for short periods (maximum 10 minutes).
  2. It is recommended that food to be sliced should be no more than 4.5 inches high and 4.5 inches thick.
  3. Choose food with a more regular shape, the slice effect will be better.

USE SUGGESTIONS

  1. Use even force to cut the meat to avoid uneven cutting.
  2. Do not slice cooked food right after raw meat. This breeds serious contamination and cause severe food born illnesses such as E.coli.
  3. Please clean or disinfect the microtome every time you use the slicer.
  4. Do not slice foods that are over-sized for the food carriage.

FOODS YOU CAN USE WITH SLICER

Meats
  1. Slightly frozen is best and it can’t be completely frozen.
  2. Do not cut meats with the bone.
  3. The slice thickness of raw meat is difficult to control, it is recommended to slightly freeze

Vegetables|

  1. Do not use it for foods that have big seeds.

Breads|

  1. Most of them are suitable, but you need to wait for the fresh bread to cool.

Cheeses|

  1. Keep to the firmer cheeses, such as provolone, American cheeses, etc.

Helpful Tips|

  1. Your slicer is perfect for consistent uniform slices of fruits, onions, cucumbers, cheese, potatoes, or homemade breads.
  2. Never attempt to slice fully frozen foods.
  3. Let stand for more than 15 minutes when slicing freshly cooked meat.
  4.  Always freeze cheese or raw meat before slicing it.

MAINTENANCE

Always unplug your electric slicer and turn the slice control knob back to OFF before cleaning it.

  1. Fold out food carriage away from the base for easy cleaning of crumb, seeds, etc.
  2. To remove blade, press tab in where indicated in center knob. Twist clockwise and carefully lift and remove blade.
  3. With a soft sponge or cleaning cloth, clean both sides of blade with mild soap and water.
  4. Dry all parts immediately after cleaning.

MAINTENANCE

DO NOT PUT THE APPLIANCE IN WATER OR WASH ANY PART OF THIS SLICER IN A DISHWASHER.
