Installing Your Dash Cam
Installing the Mirror Dash Cam
Place the mirror dash cam onto the vehicle’s rear-view mirror, and lock the
strap from top to bottom Route the power cable and GPS cable through the top ceiing
and the A-pillar, and hide them into the trim around the edge of the dash
board Remove the
protective film from the back of GPS antenna, and stick the GPS antenna onto
the dash boardInsert
the car charger into your vehicle’s cigarete lighter
NOTE:

If the mirror monitor can not attach onto the rear view mirror steadily, please try to lock each end of two straps to the second bar instead of the firt to strain the strap.

I the car’s windscreen tinted with a reflective coating, it may be athermic and impact the GPS reception. In this instance, it i recommended to place the GPS antenna at the comer of the dashboard,

Please keep the GPS antenna face up.
Installing the Rear Camera
1. Mounting rear camera

Find a sutable mounting position, it is recommended to install next to the tailgate handle.

Clean the mounting position by using water or alcohol, and lint-free cloth.

After water drying, remove the protective film from the camera bracket adhesive.

Attach the camera bracket to the mounting position and press for 30 seconds.
2. Mounting rear camera onto car rear window
-
Clean the windscreen by using water or alcohol, and a lintree cloth.

After water dry, remove the protective film from the camera bracket adhesive.

Attach the rear window bracket {o the adhesive on the camera bracket and press for 30 seconds.

Remove the protective film from the rear window bracket, stick it on the rear window, and press it for 30 seconds.
Wiring Diagram
- Put the USB plug of car charger into the power port on dash cam and then plug the car charger to the cigarette lighter.
- Plug the rear camera cable into the 4-Pin socket of the video cable, and connect the video cable to the AV IN port on the dash cam.
- Connect the red wire (reverse trigger line) on the video cable to the reverse light (+ positive)
- Insert the jack plug of GPS Antenna into the GPS Socket on the dash cam.
Routing
- Route the cables through the top ceiling and the A-pilar so that it does not interfere with driving
- Make sure that the cable installation does not interfere with the vehicle’s aitbags or other safety features.
- If you installthe rear camera next to the tailgate handie, then you may look for an opening or drill a hole near the tailgate handle to thread the connector cable: plug of the camera into the interior of the vehicle.

NOTE
The placement of the devices and cables may vary depending on the vehicle
model.If you encounter any problems during installation, contact a skiled
installer (such s the service personnel of the vehicle) for assistance.
Installing the Memory Card
- Insert the memory card (1) into the slot 2.
- Press the memory card until it cicks
NOTE: Before removing the memory card, make sure the device is turned off.
Approximate recording time
This dash cam requires microSD™ or microSDHC memory card with the FAT32 systen
file type and requires a card speed rating of 10 or higher.

NOTE:
- If the dash cam cannot recognize your memory card, it may be caused by an unrecognizable system file type, therefore please format the memory card first.
- Only for reference, there may be differences because of different brand and the video recording environment of the card.
Functions
To operate the mirror dash cam, simply touch the screen with your fingertips. The system provides the control butons and system icon on the screen.
- Mute: Mute or unmute the current recording
- Switch Views: Switch over display views (Front or Rear; Front & Rear)
- Playback: Playback videos and photos.
- Start/Pause: Start or pause recording manually
- Shutter: Take pictures
- Emergency Record: Start emergency recording manually
- Settings: Open system seltings
- Screen Dimmer: Manually or automaticaly dim or increase the screen brighiness Recording
- Indicator: Redlyellow indicates loop recording or emergency recording
NOTE:
- Tap ( ) to be able to adjust screen light manually or attomatically. Side the dot on the lightness bar to tur the screen light up or down,
- Pause ( ) current recording to enter into “Playback mode ( ) * or “Settings ( }) “
- Tap the section of date8time display on the screen, you can let the screen hide or show the current date and time.
Setting the Date and Time
To make sure that the date and time of your recordings are correct, check the
settings before you begin to record.
1. Setting the Date and Time Manually
- Tap=> > >General Settings >Clock Settings
- Tap to adjust the value of the selected feld
- Tap OK and repeat the step unt all fields have been changed
2. Automatic Date and Time
- Tap>( )>( )>General Settings
- Time Zone
- Select ihe appropriate ime zone, then press *Yes” to confir or press “No” to cancel the current selection
- Go back to > General Settings
- GPS Time Sync, dlick the button on the GPS Time Sync bar to active auto time adjustment
NOTE: Please install the GPS antenna correctly on the dashboard according to the instructions and connect tto the dash cam.
Record Videos
1. Loop Recording
Insert a memory card into the card slot, and automati loop recording will
begin afer power supply. The 10op recording wil be divided into severa video
dips; the record will ot stop between video clips. When there s insufiient
space on the memory card, loop recording wil automatically overwite the oldest
iles one by one.
- When loop recording is in progress, you can manually stop recording by tapping( )
- To enablefdisable the audio recording, tap ( )
- Time frame for each video file can be set to 1/3/5 minutes.
NOTE:
Loop Recording fles are saved in memory card: ormal\FIR folder.
2. Emergency Recording
1. Automatic Emergency Recording
When recording is in progress, i the G-sensor is activated and a collision
occurs, current recording will be locked automatically to avoid being
overwritten by loop recording.
Manual Emergency Recording
Tap ( ) then the current recording will be locked as emergency recording and
cannot be overwritten by loop recording.
NOTE
- The collision sensing function can be adjusted in the *Protect Level” option under the settings.
- Emergency recording video files are saved in memory card: \Event\FIR folder.
- Emergency recording video fles have the same time frame as loop video fles.
Parking Monitoring
“This feature is meant to provide video proof for parking collision. When an
impact is detected, the mirror dash cam tums on automatically and records a
30-second video (Front and Rear camera start recording simultaneously). These
videos willremain protected on the memory card and will not be overwriten by
new recordings.
- Parking monitoring function is disabled by default. You can enable the function by selecting ( &} ) >Movie Mode > Parking Monitoring
- When parking monitoring detection is enabled, the system will enter parking monitoring once the vehicle engine is stopped.
NOTE: Parking recording fles are saved in memory card: \Event\FIR folder.

Power Supply for Parking Monitoring
You must use an additional power source to record the video during parking monitoring, such as an uninterruptible power cable (sold separately). -
Hard Wire Kit Wiring Diagram
Use a hard wire kit o supply power for the mirror dash cam by connecting it to a constant circuit on your vehicle.
‘The wiring diagram roughly shows how to connect a common hard wire kit to your vehicle. The hard wire kit you purchased may be litle different from the example below, however the idea of routing and connecting the cable is alike.
- Route the hard wire kit to a location in the vehicle with constant power, and a ground connection,
- Connect the (2) BATT wire to a constant power source.
- Connect the (1) GND wire to the bare metal of the vehicle’s chassis via using an existing bolt or screw.
- Plug the USB connector into the USB port on the dash cam.
- To make the parking monitoring to work when connecting the mirror {0 & constant power source, please hold on the power button to tun off the mirror before you leave your car. When a collsion is detected, the machine will automatically tur on and record for 30 seconds, and then automatically shut down.
NOTE:
- Please use a hard wire kit with a connector that matches your dash cam.
- Please use the hard wire kit which has “Low-voltage protection® feature.
Taking a Photo
The mirror dash cam allows you to take a photo

NOTE: The photos are saved in memory card: \Photo\FR folder.
Playback Mode
- Tap ( )>( )
- Select the desired type: Normal (Loop recording) /Emergency video (Emergency recording) /Photo.
- Tap the desired fle to playback
- During playback, you can
- While playing videos, tap to play the previousinext video; tap to playlpause the video; hold on a point along the track bar to move directly to a different location for the playback.
- While viewing photos, tap to display the previous/next photo.
- Tap ( ) / ( ) to lock/unlock the current file.
Driving Mode
In this mode, you can see the current speed.
- Tap ( ) >Movie Mode >Driving Mode
- Activate or deactivate driving mode
Driving mode will automatically appear on the screen within 30 seconds after the dash cam starts. Press power button once while recording is inprogress, screen will display driving mode. Reversing Mode

Grid Lines Show up Automaticaly
Please make sure that you have the trigger ine (red thin vire) on the video cable connected with the positve (+) of everse ight. When you tum ito reversing, those grid lines are cisplayed on the monilor to help you estmate the distance from obstaces.

Grid Lines Show up Manually
The parking grid lines can be shown on the screen manually. Just slide your finger on the screen Lo the right every time before puting your vehicle into reverse, it will display the rear view with parking grid lines.

Siide the screen to the right again to end the reversing mode.
NOTE: Please siide your finger below the Brightness Adjustment Section on the screen. -
Parking Grid Lines Adjustment
Tap point 1/3 and hold it, move the grid lines to desired position.
Tap point 2 and hold it, move it right or eft to extend or shorten the grid lines length horizontally. Move it up or down to adjust the distance between red, yellow, and green colors.
NOTE: Move up or down in non-grid lines area to adjust reversing view angle.

Playback Software
Use the free playback software on your Windows/Mac to view recorded videos.
1. Installing the Playback Software
For Windows users, you can find the download link for the playback software
“AUTO-VOX GPS Player” on the memory card
- Insert your memory card into the initiated mirror dashcam.
- Take the memory card out after completing the *Memory Card Initialization”.
- Find the download link called “autoplayerlitev1.1* in your memory card and open it
- Follow the on-screen prompts to install the playback software on your computer.
For Mac users , please find the software “AUTO-VOX GPS Player” in the App
Store on your Mac OS computer. Download and follow the on-screen promps to
install it on your computer.
2. Playing the Recording Files
- Remove the memory card from the dash cam and access the card on the computer via a card reader.
- By defauit, AUTO-VOX GPS Player shows the Map and the FILE LIST on the right, meanwhile you can check the speed and direction at the right battom.
- During playback, you can view more driving information from the dashboard panel and G-sensor chart that are displayed below the video playback screen.
On the dashboard panel, cick ( }) to display the Settings Menu
The G-sensor chart displays data in 3-axis waveform about the car’s shift forward/backward(X), o the right/efi(Y) and upwardidownward(2).
NOTE: The map screen may not display when the computer is ot connected 1o the inferet or when your dash cam does not support the GPS function.
FAQ
Crash issue
Please format class memory card regularly Replace with a new memory card (class 10 or higher). -If the solutions mentioned above do not help, please reset the dash cam
Unable to turn onloff automatically
Check and see if there is power supply issue, if not, please ty to tum on/off manually. Reset or restore the dash cam.
Video recording/photography unavailable
« Check if memory card inserted or not. « Low memory card class, please insert a high class memory card(class10,etc.). If the solutions mentioned above do not help, the memory card may be broken, please replace a new one.
Unable to playback
Any file name changes on the computer willinvalidate the video and photo. Please check carefully. Those processed videos or those not recorded by this dash cam may be unable to display. Please check if your memory card is broken and if yes, please replace it with a new one.
Card full or error or make noise
Please format the memory card regularly. Broken cardflow card classfincompatible memory card. We suggest you replace the memory card. Reset or restore the dash cam
Warranty
You (as the end user) receive a 12-month guarantee from the date of purchase.
In addition, you can contact our after-sales service through the email address
provided in the warranty card to get an additional 6-month warranty. For
products replaced within the one-year warranty period, the warranty period s
the remaining warranty.
