Touchscreen Smart Lock

Product Information

The DB1S-BL is a deadbolt lock designed for use on doors. It features a drive- in collar and a Phillips screwdriver for installation.

Specifications

  • Backset: 2-3/8″ or 2-3/4″
  • Latch Hole Depth : 1″ (25 mm)

Product Usage Instructions

  1. Step 1: Insert Latch Bolt
Temporarily insert the latch bolt into the door. If it cannot be inserted all the way to the end, you need to extend the latch hole. Proceed to Step 2. If the latch bolt sits properly, skip to Step 3.

  2. Step 2 (Optional): Extend Latch Hole
If you need to extend the latch hole, use a 1″ (25 mm) boring bit to extend it to the correct depth based on your backset. For a 2-3/8″ backset, extend the latch hole to 3-7/16″. For a 2-3/4″ backset, extend it to 3-13/16″. Insert the latch bolt again to verify the fit.

  3. Step 3: Test Latch Bolt Operation
Use a screwdriver to extend and retract the bolt to check its operation. If it doesn’t rotate smoothly due to a small face bore hole, proceed to Step 4 for chiseling. If the bolt operates smoothly, skip to Step 5.

  4. Step 4 (Optional): Chisel Out a Channel
If the latch bolt operation is not smooth, chisel out a small channel at the top of the hole to allow for smooth rotation. Test the latch bolt operation again after chiseling.

  5. Step 5: Install Latch Bolt and Strike
Install the latch bolt and strike on the door and door jamb respectively.
