Safety Instructions

• Install and use this product strictly according to the user manual.
• This unit is for indoor use only. Always place it horizontally, keep and use it away from inflammable and very hot source.
• This system is in a low voltage state. Power protection is also needed to prevent leakage due to pet bites.
• It is not suitable for use by/for children under 11 years old. The nonage can only use it under strict adult guidance and supervision.
• This unit should not be used on younger pets.
• DO NOT immerse the water tank base part in water.
• Kindly contact the customer service team if you encounter any issues.
• Children shall not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children without supervision. Water fountain is only to be used with the power supply unit provided.
• WARNING: The water pump comes with an UV sterilizer. When you pick up the pump, please do not look at UV lamp directly.

Installation and Use Guidelines

1. Unpack the unit.
   Remove the packing bag and crosscheck the parts present with the parts list above to ensure all parts are included.

2. Clean all parts.
   Clean the water tray, filter tray, water tank, and its accessories before use.
   CAUTION: DO NOT soak the water tank base in water to avoid the power connector touching the water.

3. Soak the filter.
   Soak the filter in water thoroughly before installation. It’s recommended to soak it for 10 minutes, and rinse it slightly afterward for a minute. Shake it slightly during rinsing.
   Note: The filter contains non-toxic and harmless coconut shell activated carbon, some of which may drift out into the water. This is expected and doesn’t affect the safety or use of the product in any way.

4. Check the pump position.
   Check to see if the pump is secured in the right position, as shown in the figure below.
   Otherwise, readjust the position as required before installing other components.

5. Fill the fountain with water.
   Using the kettle or by putting the whole unit under the tap. Ensure that the water doesn’t exceed to the maximum water level.

6. Install the filter, filter tray, and water tray, respectively.
   Align three notches at the bottom of the filter to bulged bases in the positions of three triangles of the filter tray during installation of the filter, and make sure that the filter is clamped in place.

7. Connect the power adapter.
   After installing the components, plug the power adapter into the power connector (The connector is at the bottom of the water tank). Plug in the power and the water fountain should start working.

Indicator Instruction

The Touch Button may show any of the three colors – white, yellow, red.

1. Filter Life Indication:
   • Near Maximum Capacity: When the filter life is about to reach its maximum capacity (about 3 days remaining), the indicator switches to yellow flashing light. Kindly check and prepare the replacement filter in advance at this stage.
   • Maximum Capacity: The indicator switches to yellow light on when the filter life has reached its maximum capacity. Please replace the filter immediately. After the replacement, Hold the touch button for 3s to perform filter reset. If the reset is successful, the indicator switches from the yellow light to the white light, flashing or permanently on.

2. Water Level Indication:
   Water shortage reminder: When the water level is lower than half of the pump height, the indicator turns in red constantly. The system will stop pumping water to prevent a dry burning of pump and ensure your pet’s safety. Please add water timely by that time.

Cleaning and Maintenance

1. Water Tank Cleaning and Maintenance
   a. Disconnect the power adapter from the host connector before cleaning.
   b. Rinse the product under the tap with cold water.
   c. Do Not flush the power connectors directly and do not immerse them in water. It’s not dishwasher safe.
   d. Use a soft piece of cloth to dry the moist surface after cleaning, especially in areas near the control board and power cord connector.
   e. Completely replace the drinking water every 4-5 days.
   f. Do Not place the unit in direct sunlight for long periods. Otherwise, you may accelerate the yellowing and aging of the machine.
   g. If you are not using the machine for a long time, please disassemble the parts and thoroughly wash them all before keeping them in the package box.

2. Water Pump Cleaning
   Refer to cleaning steps below:
   (1) Remove the cover plate and take out the cotton.
   (2) Use a pry tool to open the water pump impeller cover and remove it.
   (3) Remove the pump impeller with a tweezers.
   (4) Clean the cotton, cover plate, impeller cover, pump impeller and the water pump.

3. Filter Replacement
   The product needs regular maintenance. Filter and other supplies need to be replaced regularly. It is recommended to replace the filter every 30 days for optimal filtration performance.

FAQ & Solutions

1. Indicator Malfunctioning

a. The indicator light is off after powering on the unit: First, confirm whether the power strip is on, and then check whether the water fountain is connected properly. Finally, check the power adapter connector, power adapter, and power strip. If the indicator light is still off, please contact the customer service team on(support@pawaii.com). b. Can’t reset filter after replacement (indicator does not turn white): Please power off and restart the machine, then hold the button to reset. If this fails, don't hesitate to get in touch with the customer service team.

2. Related Issues About the Filter

a. Some black powder floating in the water: The filter material includes harmless coconut shell-activated carbon, which may drift out into the water. This is expected and doesn’t affect the safety or use of the product in any way. b. The water pump makes a clattering sound while in use: Due to strong water flow, the water pump may absorb the floating coconut shell activated carbon. Kindly check and clean.

3. The Fountain Stops Working

a. The power is off: Check if the indicator works normally. b. Water shortage: Please check the indicator light, and if it is red, kindly add water promptly. c. The water tray is not installed properly: Remove the water tray and check whether the water pump is installed properly. Then reposition the water pump correctly, and reinstall the water tray. d. Water pump fault: Remove the water tray and filter tray (including the filter). Check whether the water pump produces water. If it doesn’t, please disassemble the pump for cleaning and reinstalling. If water is still not produced, kindly contact the customer service team.

4. Limited Water Flow

a. The Water tray is not installed in the right position: Remove the water tray and check if the water pump is properly installed. Return the water tray after correcting the pump position. b. Filter block: Remove the filter and rinse it. Return the rinsed filter and if there is still no water coming out, replace the filter. c. Low water level: Check the indicator light color and the visible water level. If the indicator is red and the water level is low, kindly add water immediately.

Product Features

This product focuses on the life and health of pets. It is equipped with the following functions to produce safe drinking water for your pets.

1. Smart hair removal function. To keep the drinking water safe for pets, the water fountain starts the mode every 4 hours. It works for 5 seconds and stops for 3 seconds. This process is repeated three times to reduce hair on the surface of the water tray effectively.
2. Multi-stage filtration guarantees optimal pet health. The filter adopts a high-density microporous filter surface, advanced coconut shell activated carbon raw materials, ion exchange resin, and high-density microporous filter cotton network to intercept hair, food residue, calcium and magnesium ions, chlorine in water.
3. Improved mute design. It uses a silent brushless motor, alongside a unique waterway design, to reduce the sound of water flow. The lower decibels ensure that both the owner and the pet enjoy a sound sleep.
4. UV sterilization. The water pump comes with UV sterilizer, which inactivates viruses and prevents bacteria from breeding for a long time.
