Getting To Know Your Barista Kettle

IMPORTANT SAFETY INFORMATION

IMPORTANT: Please read, understand, and comply with all of the instructions provided in this manual before using the device. Failure to comply with the instructions given in this manual or using the device not mentioned in this manual may cause in serious personal injury or equipment damage.

General Safety
  • DO NOT touch the base or the steel parts of the kettle while the appliance is operating or immediately after operation. These components will be hot and may cause burns or other personal injuries.
  • DO NOT fill the kettle above the “MAX” line .Doing this may cause the water to boil over during operation and may result in scalding. Minimum amount of water needed for boiling is 0.5 L, too little water will result in the kettle switching off before the water has boiled.
  • ALWAYS handle with care when there is hot water inside the kettle. Failure to do so may result in burns or scalding.
  • Use the appliance with the specified voltage 120V 60Hz.
  • DO NOT allow children to use or play with this appliance. Always keep this kettle and its components out of reach from children.
  • DO NOT use the kettle if the kettle is malfunctioning, if it is broken or chipped, or if the power cord or plug is damaged in any way. Stop using and contact with Customer Support immediately.(page 11)
  • ALWAYS unplug the kettle when it is not being used. This will prevent moisture from causing a short circuit in the power base while it is plugged in.
  • This appliance is for indoor use ONLY.
Use & Care
  • ALWAYS place the kettle on a dry, flat surface.
  • DO NOT place the kettle on or near heat sources such as stove tops, ovens, and etc.
  • DO NOT turn on the kettle while the lid is open.
  • DO NOT cover the opening of the kettle while it is operating. Doing so may result in damage to the kettle.
  • ALWAYS empty and clean the kettle after using each time. If necessary, descale the kettle by following the instructions in Descaling the Kettle (page 1O)
  • DO NOT attempt to repair the kettle or its parts by yourself or through other third-party appliances when it is broken. Doing so may result in further damage or personal injury and will void your warranty.
  • DO NOT dispose of this kettle in regular household waste.
  • The kettle will be automatically shut off in 1O minutes once the setting program is completed.
  • If the kettle has been taken away from the base, the system will be keeping the in-progress setting for l 0 minutes.

The higher the altitude, the lower the boiling point of water. At normal altitudes, water boils at 212F0 in highland areas, the normal boiling point is below 212F0

BEFORE FIRST USE

  1. Remove and safely discard any packaging material or promotional labels attached to your kettle.
  2. It is recommended that filling the kettle to the maximum level with cold water before your first using, bring to the boil by selecting the BOIL 212 °F, then discard the water.
  3. Your kettle will only operate when positioned on the power base.

WATER TEST

Perform the Water Test before using your kettle to make sure it’s working properly. Do not drink the water that is boiled during this initial test.

USING YOUR BARISTA KETTLE

  1. Fill the kettle with water to a certain capacity, between the minimum and maximum water scale level lines

  2. Connect the power base wire to the power supply.

  3. Short press button, “SET” icon will display.

  4. Short press button to select your preferred temperature measurement unit (°C/°F).

  5. Spin  button to adjust the preset temperature for boiling water.

  6. Short press button again to enter water boiling mode,” ili”icon will flash on the screen.

NOTE:

Add at least½ cup/ 118 ml of filtered water to the kettle. Do not fill above the “MAX” line. Wipe any water from the outside of the kettle and the base.

BASIC OPERATION

NOTE:

  1. When the power is on, the buzzer will ring a sound, followed by the full-screen LCD display.
  2. If there’s no operation for l O minutes under the full-screen display, the screen will display”—-” (standby mode). Push any button (including the rotary knob) to activate the full-screen mode.
  3. If there’s no operation under standby mode (screen displays”—-“) for 30 minutes, the LCD screen will turn off.
Temp Set Memory
  • The kettle will auto memorize the set temperature when the kettle leaves the power base. If exceed l O mins, the kettle will be back on standby.
  • If the power base is always plugged in, it will automatically memorize the last set boiling water temperature.
Temp Unit Switching
  • Step l: Short press button, “SET” icon is displayed, and the kettle enters standby mode.

  • Step 2: Short press button to switch the temperature measurement unit.(°C/°F) .

  •  The default temperate unit setting is: °F

Keep Warm
  • After the water is boiled, rotate the temperature knob to select the keep warm temperature and then press the keep warm button to enter the keep warm state.
  • If the keep warm icon on the display flashes, the kettle is already in the keep warm state.
  • When the temperature of the kettle is higher than the set insulation temperature, the kettle will not start heating;
  • when the temperature of the kettle is lower than the set insulation temperature, the kettle will start to work until the temperature reaches the set insulation temperature and stops heating.
  • The default keep warm time is l hour. After the kettle boils water, it will auto enter the keep warm mode.
  • The default temp of keep warm setting is: 80°C/l 76°F
  • If the keep warm icon on the display flashes, the kettle is already in the keep warm state.
Mute Function

Long press button for 2s, and then the kettle enters silent mode, The icon will be displayed.

Timer
  • Step 1 : Short press button, “SET” icon is displayed, and the kettle enters standby mode.

  • Step 2 : Short press button, The kettle will start counting down for 3s and then the clock will start.

  • Step 3 : Press button again during the timing process, the timer will be reset, and then start timing again.

Add Water Reminder

  • During the boiling water process, when the water in the kettle dries up. It will display “ADD”.
  • You must remove the kettle from the power base to add water. Then the kettle will dismiss
    the reminder. Then you can short press button to continue boiling water after add water.

CLEANING AND STORAGE

Cleaning
  • Before cleaning, be sure the base is unplugged and the kettle has cooled completely. Empty any remaining water from the kettle.
  • Wash the inside of the kettle with soapy water and rinse. NEVER IMMERSE THE KETTLE IN WATER OR OTHER LIQUIDS.
  • Do not place the kettle body into dishwasher.
  • Wipe the exterior of the kettle and base with a damp cloth or sponge and dry. Do not use abrasive soaps, cleansers, or scouring pads on any part of the kettle as it may damage the finish.
  • Overtime, you need to regularly descale your kettle. Use a scale/lime remover and follow its manufacturer’s directions.
Storage
  • Clean and dry all parts before storing. Store the kettle in its box or in a clean, dry place.
  • Never wrap the power cord around the kettle.
Descaling the Kettle

You should descale the kettle at least once a week if you use it frequently.
Descaling removes any mineral deposits that have built up inside the kettle.
Always descale the kettle after it has been stored for long periods of time and before storing it.

  1. Fill the kettle with l cup of distilled vinegar or lemon juice and 2 cups of water (l :2 ratio).
  2. Boil the mixture, then let it soak in the kettle for 2 hours.
  3. Pour out the solution, then wipe the limescale away with a cloth or nonabrasive sponge.
  4. Rinse the kettle with clean water, and dry with a soft cloth.
  5. Repeat As needed.

TROUBLESHOOTING

Problem Solution
Didn’t Work
  1. The plug is not plugged in tightly, please unplug it and plug it in again;
  2. Replace a power outlet and try again;
  3. If the above methods do not solve the problem, it is the fault of the machine itself, please contact customer service for warranty;

Boiling Water Overflow|

  1. You may add too much water and exceed the maximum water level, causing the water to overflow during the boiling process;
  2. When adding water, be careful not to exceed the maximum water line.

Display “ADD”|

  1. During the boiling process, when the water in the kettle dries up. It will display “ADD”.
  2. You must remove the kettle from the power base. After adding enough water, press the button to release the restriction and the kettle will work normally .

Display”—“|

  1. When the kettle is removed from the power base or the kettle is not placed on the power base correctly. The screen will display “- – – “”
  2. Please place the kettle on the power base correctly, the kettle will work normally.

Display “E0/El/E2”| If the kettle displays “EO/E1/E2”, the kettle is faulty. Please contact customer service support for warranty.
