NOTE : The routered side of the polycarbonate is the exterior of the windshield. The wiper motor should be on the (traditional) passenger side of the track loader.

Step 1: Remove Factory Door, Handles and Wiper / Wiper Motor After removing the door from the track loader, remove the upper and lower handles along with the wiper and wiper motor in preparation to remove the glass.
Step 2: Remove the Glass from the Windshield Frame Use a utility knife or similar apparatus to remove the glass from the windshield frame by cutting through the windshield adhesive.
Step 3: Remove adhesive from the Windshield Frame Use a utility knife or similar apparatus to remove any leftover adhesive from the windshield frame. The windshield frame needs to be clear of obstructions between the windshield frame and the polycarbonate replacement windshield.

Step 4:
Apply Clear RTV Silicone to the Door Frame (Exterior Face) Apply a thin bead of Clear RTV Silicone around the exterior face of the door frame. This bead should be located between the polycarbonate and the door frame after the polycarbonate is installed. Either Clear RTV Silicone shown below is recommended

Step 4:
Apply Clear RTV Silicone to the Door Frame (Exterior Face) Apply a thin bead of Clear RTV Silicone around the exterior face of the door frame. This bead should be located between the polycarbonate and the door frame after the polycarbonate is installed. Either Clear RTV Silicone shown below is recommended

Step 6:
Position the Polycarbonate Replacement Windshield on the Windshield Frame Now that the windshield frame is clean and clear of obstructions, place the polycarbonate windshield replacement on the windshield frame as shown below.

Step 7:
Install the Lower Retainers (Inner and Outer 14” Long) Install the lower inner and outer retainers. Make sure the inner retainer notches are positioned around the OEM plastic clips.

Use 2 – 1/4″ x 1/2″
Hex bolts and 2 – 1/4″ Nylon Locknuts to attach the inner and outer retainers. Leave the hardware loose until all the retainers are installed.

Step 8
Install the Middle Retainers (Inner and Outer 5” Long) Install the middle inner and outer retainers. Make sure the inner retainer does not overlap the weld which connects the handle bracket to the windshield frame.

Use 1 – 1/4″ x 1/2″

  • 1 – 1/4″ Nylon Locknuts (Upper Holes)
  • 1 – 1/4″ x 3/8” Hex Bolt
  • 1 – 1/4″-20 Weld Nut (Lower Holes) to attach the inner and outer retainers. Leave the hardware loose until all the retainers are installed.

Step 9
Install the Top Retainers (Inner and Outer 21” Long) Install the top inner and outer retainers. Make sure to center the top retainers on the windshield frame. Using a measuring tape measure 3 -1/8” from the edge of the sq. tube portion of the windshield frame to the edge of the outer retainer as shown below.

Use 3 – 1/4″ x 1/2″ Hex bolts and 3 – 1/4″
Nylon Locknuts to attach the inner and outer retainers. Leave the hardware loose until all the retainers are installed.

The final step to install the retainer system is to tighten all the retainers and hardware you have installed starting with the side retainers.

You will then reinstall the upper and lower factory handles and the wiper assembly. Once all the factory components have been reinstalled, reinstall the windshield in track loader which will complete this installation.
