INSTRUCTIONS FOR FUNCTIONS AND CONTROLS
-
REMOTE CONTROLLER OUTLET
To be connected with the remote controller, which helps to boost the gain. Please turn the knob volume to be maximum before using the remote -
BOOST: The boost ranges from 0dB to 12dB.
-
PHASE: Phase adjusting switch, the phase range from 0°-180° degrees.
-
LPF: Low pass frequency adjusting knob, the frequency ranges from 30Hz to 150Hz.
-
LEVEL: Knob for volume adjustment.
-
LOW-LEVEL INPUTS
Low-level inputs are the recommended way to introduce the audio signal to the subwoofer if RCA outputs are present on your head unit or other signal sources (such as a sound processor). -
+12V: Anode of power connection terminals. Connect to the anode of the car battery.
REM: Terminal to be connected with Remotecable, which comes from the source and which controls the amplifier switching on. The applied voltage must be between 10 and 15 VDC.
GND: Ground terminal. Connect to the car chassis. Keep the length of the ground cable to a minimum. -
FUSE: Standard automatic fuse, you must use a 30A fuse if you need to change it.
-
PROTECTION / POWER INDICATOR
When the amplifier is operating correctly the LED will show as green. When the amplifier is in protection mode the LED will show as red. -
HIGH-LEVEL (SPEAKER LEVEL) INPUTS
If your head unit does not have RCA outputs you can use the speaker outputs for the audio source of the subwoofer.
Use the supplied cable and wire harness and connect the outputs properly as shown in the connection diagram in this manual
WIRING DIAGRAM
Once your EN-DF10A is installed, follow these simple steps:
- Now you are ready to play it for the first time. It is best to leave the gain all the way down at the start. Now, start with the head until the volume is low and work your way up.
- Now you can tune the amp. We recommend using the Low Pass Filter at 80Hz or lower depending on your system. Take your time and make only one adjustment at a time. It may take some time to get the system fully adjusted. During this time the amp is drawing current from the battery. You should check the battery voltage from time to time and re-charge it if it gets low.
That’s it! You are done Now have fun!!

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
Professional installation by an authorized DS18 dealer is highly recommended! Otherwise, the performance of your new gear may not be satisfactory. In the event that you decide to do your own installation, please read, and follow this manual carefully. Failure to do so may compromise the integrity of this product, and your automobile, and possibly void the product warranty. Secure the subwoofer box with a strap or bracket to screw it down in case this box is loose on your trunk or an SUV cargo area to avoid this moving around which will damage the Subwoofer or box itself. In case of accelerating or hard braking this will reduce the possibility of movement! Major injuries may occur in case of an accident if this is not secured properly.

TROUBLESHOOTING
-
Low output.
Reset the level control. Check the crossover control settings. -
The squealing noise is present.
Check for improperly grounded RCA interconnects. -
Distorted sounds.
Check that the input level control is set to match the signal level of the head unit. Always try to set the input level as low as possible. Check that all crossover frequencies are properly set. Check for short circuits on the speaker leads. -
Amplifier gets very hot.
Check that there is good air circulation around the amp. In some applications, it may be necessary to add an external cooling fan. -
Engine noise (static type).
This is usually caused by poor quality RCA cables, which can pick up radiated noise. Use only the best quality cables. And route them away from power cables. -
Engine noise (alternator whine).
Check that the RCA grounds are not shorted to the vehicle chassis. Check that the head unit is properly grounded
