Safety Precautions
Thank you for purchasing this CASIO product, Be sure to read the “Safety Precautions” before using this product 1o ensure that you use it correctly. Be sure to keep all user documentation handy for future reference.
Warning
Indicates something that creates the risk of death or serious personal injury.
Display Screen
Do not press the LCD or subject it to strong impact.
Doing o can cause the LCD glass to crack, creating the risk of personal injury.
Should the LCD become cracked, never touch any of the liquid inside.
LCD liquid getting on the skin creates the risk of skin irritation. Should LCD liquid get into your mouth, immediately rinse your mouth out and contact your physician. Should LCD liquid getting your eyes or on your skin, rinse with clean water and then contact your physician.
Important Precautions

If you suspect that the calculator is operating abnormally due to
static electrical charge or some other problem, press (&g to restore normal operation. -
Avoid dropping the calculator and otherwise subjecting it to severe impact.

Never try to take the calculator apart.

Never bend or twist the case.

Wipe the unit with a soft, dry cloth to clean it

Replacing the battery or biocking the calculator from sunlight while battery power is low may cause your tax rate setting, mult conversion rate setting, or memory contents to be changed o lost. Replace the battery as soon as possible when it becomes weak and correct the rate setting, if necessary.

Power Supply
Two-Way Power System provides power even in complete darkness.
- Always leave battery replacement up to an authorized dealer.
- If the display becomes dim and difficult o read, or if nothing appears on the display when you press (&0 (especially when lighting s dim), you probably need to have the battery replaced.
- The battery that comes with this unit discharges slightly during shipment and storage. Because of this, it may require replacement sooner than the normal expected battery life.
Auto Power Off Function
Auto power off: Approximately 6 minutes after last key operation
- If the Auto Power Off function turs off power, press [ to restore power.
Basic Calculations
*1 recalls the value stored (accumulated) in grand total memory.
- “ERROR” will appear if the calculation result exceeds the upper calculation limit of the calculator. If this happens, press (&)
- The value displayed when a calculation error occurs is a rough approximate value.
Example: I 1.23 is displayed along with “ERROR”, it indicates a value of approximately 1.23 x 10
Clearing Calculations
- To clear the calculator except for independent memory and rate settings, press AC.
- To clear independent memory only, press
Tax Calculations
- set a tax rate
Example: Tax rate = 5%
AC % (SET) (Hold down until SET appears) (TAX RATE) % (2)(SET)
You can check the currently set tax rate by pressing g and then (TAX RATE).

Multi Conversion
- First, check the current conversion rate. (RATE)
- To set the conversion rate
Example: To assign a euro value to Value 2 and a dollar value to
Value 1 to set up the conversion rate bellows
1euro=$1.1US
To specify the conversion direction (“VALUE1 b VALUE2″, “VALUE1 4 VALUE2″)
After pressing 9, each press of toggles the conversion direction. An indicator
on the display shows the current conversion
direction.
Example: When a dollar value is assigned to Value 1 and a euro value
assigned to Value 2.
“VALUE1 – VALUE2”: Converts dollars to euros.
“VALUE1 « VALUE2”: Converts euros to dollars.
Multi Conversion Example
(Conversion rate: 1 euro = $1.1 US)
Each press of the toggles the displayed value between euros and dollars.

- Cutiing or rounding of the decimal part is performed automatically in accordance with the rounding selector and the number of decimal places selector (CUT, 0, etc.)
Conversion Calculation Formulas
Multi Conversion calculations are performed using the formulas below.
- Converting Value 1 to Value 2: Value 2 Amount = A + B
- Converting Value 2 to Value 1: Value 1 Amount = A x B
Note that Ais an input value or displayed value, while B is the conversion rate.
