PROCEDURE
REMOVE CONTENTS FROM BOX. VERIFY ALL PARTS ARE PRESENT. READ INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY BEFORE STARTING INSTALLATION. CUTTING OE FRONT BUMPER IS REQUIRED.

  1. Open the hood and remove the plastic cover from the top of the radiator and grille, (Figure 1). Next, carefully remove the plastic grille.

  2. Remove the factory bolts along the inside of the passenger/right front side of the wheel well to release the end of the fender flare and inner fender liner, (Figure 2). Pull the flare straight out to release from the clips. Repeat this Step to release the driver/left flare and liner.
NOTE: The fender flares do not need to be completely removed, only the front end of the flares attached to the bumper cover need to be released to remove the cover.

  3. On models with factory fog lights, unplug the harness leading to the bumper.

  4. Remove the hardware attaching the plastic bumper cover at the top, ends, and bottom, (Figure 1). With assistance, pop the ends off of the inner clip and pull the bumper off and away from the vehicle,
(Figure 3). Set the plastic bumper cover on a soft, clean, and flat surface.

  5. Remove the (3) factory hex nuts attaching the passenger/right Hiline Bumper Bracket to the frame,
(Figure 4). Select the passenger/right Wing Mounting Bracket, (Figure 5). Reuse the (3) factory hex nuts to attach the Mounting Bracket over the Bumper Bracket, (Figure 6). Line up the center of the slots in the Wing Mounting Bracket with the studs and fully tighten the hardware.
NOTE: To avoid readjustment to the Hiline Bumper location on the vehicle, only install one Mounting Bracket at a time. Adjust the final width and position of Brackets and Wings after installation is complete, (Step 17). Repeat this Step to attach the driver/left-side Mounting Bracket.

  6. Carefully unwrap the Hiline Wings. Select the passenger/right side Wing assembly, (Figure 7). Determine if LED lights will be installed and design of lights at this time. Note lights are not included. No lights are installed at this time, skip to Step 7.
    Center bolt type light installation:

    • Attach the light to slot in the center of the inner mounting plate in Wing assembly, (Figure 7). Repeat to install the remaining light.
      End mount type light installation:

    • Select (1) LED “L” Bracket. Attach the Bracket to the inner hole in the mounting plate in the Wing with the included (1) 6mm x 20mm Hex Bolt, (2) 6mm Flat Washers, and (1) 6mm Nylon Lock Nut, (Figure 8).

    • Repeat the previous Step to attach (1) LED “L” Bracket to the outer hole in the mounting plate in the Wing, (Figure 9).toyota-tc-19339w-tacoma-hiline-bumper-FIG-10

    • Attach light to the “L” Brackets.

    • Repeat the previous Steps to install a light in the driver/left side Wing assembly.

Insert (1) 10mm Double Bolt Plate into and out of the inner mounting slots in the mounting plate on the back of the Wing, (Figure 10).toyota-tc-19339w-tacoma-hiline-bumper-FIG-11 Thread (2) 10mm Plastic Retainers onto the Bolt Plate to help hold in place. Repeat this Step to insert (1) 10mm Single Bolt Plate into and out the outer hole in the back of the Wing.
NOTE: Plastic Retainers are included to help hold the Bolt Plates in place but are not mandatory for Wing installation.

  8. Apply Short Edge Trim to the inner edge of the passenger/right Wing assembly, (Figure 11).

  9. Attach the passenger/right Wing assembly to the Mounting Bracket with (3) 10mm Flat Washers, (3) 10mm Lock Washers, and (3) 10mm Hex Nuts, (Figure 12). Snug but do not fully tighten hardware.

  10. Repeat Steps 7—9 to install the driver/left Wing assembly.

  11. Move to the back of the passenger/right side of the plastic bumper cover. Locate the ridge in the center of the outer end of the bumper cover at the bottom of the fog light assembly, (Figure 13). Place a mark 1/4” below the inner end of the ridge. Place an endpoint mark approximately 3/8-1/2” below the indent for the outer bumper cover hardware, (Figure 14). Draw a straight line, parallel with the ridge for the fog light, to the wheel well opening on the bumper cover, (Figure 15).

  12. Use a sharp knife or hacksaw blade to carefully cut along the previously marked line, (Figure 16).toyota-tc-19339w-tacoma-hiline-bumper-FIG-17
IMPORTANT: The previous directions for marking the line will leave an extra 1/4” of material when cutting to make any adjustments at the end of the installation as necessary.

  13. Repeat Steps 11 & 12 to cut the driver/left side of the bumper cover.

  14. Reinstall the cut plastic bumper cover and trim cover as necessary for best fit to Hiline Wings.

  15. Cover the passenger/right plastic fender flare with removable tape, (masking tape for example). Hold the fender flare in position on the fender and over the end of the Wing. Draw a straight line onto the tape or use the edge of the tape for a guide to match where the end of the fender and Bumper meet, (Figures 17 & 18). toyota-tc-19339w-tacoma-hiline-bumper-FIG-19 Use a sharp knife or hacksaw blade to carefully cut the leading end off of the flare along the line. Reattach the fender flare to the fender. Repeat to cut the driver/left fender flare.
