INTRODUCTION
This user manual will guide you through the correct operating procedurefortheR220+ Waterproof Food Service Scale. Please read this manual thoroughly before operation and keep it at hand for future reference. R220+

SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
Please follow these safety precautions:
- DO NOT insert liquids or foreign object.
- DO NOT operate the scale in hostile environments.
- DO NOT drop loads/leave permanent load on the platform.
- DO NOT place the scale upside down.
- DO NOT open the scale. Attempts to make repairs might causeinjuries. Product warranty considered void if this stipulation is ignored. The scale must only be repaired by authorized personnel.
- Verify power adapter input voltage matches the local power supply.
Risk of explosion can occur if battery is replaced with the wrongs per connected improperly. Do not disassemble, repair or otherwise manipulate the battery socket.
Obey local laws and regulations on battery disposal.
DISPOSAL
- In conformance with the European Directive 2002/96 EC on Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE), this device may not be disposed of with domestic waste.
- This also applies to countries outside the EU, according to their specific requirements.

LIMITED WARRANTY
What does the Warranty Cover?
This scale is warranted from date of purchase against defects of materials or
in or clanship for a period of one (1) from the date of purchase.
Who is Covered?
The original purchaser of the product must have proof of service. Please keep
your invoice or receipt. Char der authorized dealers or retail stores selling
Char der products do not have the right to alter or modify your in any way
change the terms and conditions of this warranty.
What is Excluded?
Your warranty does not cover normal wear of parts or damage resulting from any
of the following: negligent use or misuse of the product, use on improper
voltage or current, use contrary to the operating instructions, damage in
transit, or unauthorized repair or alternations. Further, the warranty does
not cover natural disasters, such as fire, flood, hurricane sand to readies.
This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may all so have other
rights that vary from country to country, state to state, prod in cetoprovince
or jurisdiction to jurisdiction.
MAINTENANCE
- The scale does not require any routine maintenance. However, we recommend checking the scale’s accuracy at regular intervals. If any inaccuracies occur, please contact your local dealer or service partner.

Before Getting Started:
- Make sure the scale is placed on a flat, horizontal and steady surface.
- Make sure the scale has been cleared of all weight before turning on.
INSTALLATION
Power Supply
The scale is powered by a rechargeable battery that is charged using the
included power adapter.
Connect Adapter to mains power before plugging into AC jack on the back of the
scale (as shown in the illustration below).
If the adapter is not plugged in, the scale will automatically use battery power.
Note: When low battery is displayed, the scale needs turbocharged, and will automatically shut off after 30 seconds to avoid damaging the battery.

OPERATION
Display
A. g / lb / oz / lb:oz
This indicator will be turned on to indicate what unit is active.
B. Stability Indicator
This indicator will be turned on when the weight display is stable.
C. Negative Sign
This indicator will be turned on when a negative (minus) weight is displayed.
Keys:
ON/OFF: Press to turn the scale on & off.
TARE/ZERO: Press to deduct the weight of an object on the platform
(ex:measuring bowl). Press again to reset to zero.
UNIT: Press to switch between weighing units.
ERROR MESSAGES
| Low battery| Charge battery using adapter
---|---|---
| Overload| Weight on platform exceeds maximum capacity – remove extra weight
and try again
| Zero value too low| Turn scale off and try again. If problem persists,
please contact your local Char der distributor.
| Zero value too high| Remove weight before turning on scale. If problem
persists, please contact your local Charder distributor.
| Programming Error| If problem persists, please contact your local Char der
distributor.
TROUBLESHOOTING
Symptom | Possible Cause | Solution |

Scale will not turn on | Dead battery | Check if scale can be powered when |
adapter is plugged in. Even if device can still be operated, we still
recommend replacing batteryContact your local Charder distributor for repair
ON/OFF button malfunction
Questionable weight result/ scale will not zero| External object interfering
with. scale| Remove object interfering with scale
Display does not show “0.0” before weighing| Remove weight from platform,
press “TARE/ZERO” key and try again.
SETTINGS CONFIGURATION
Turn on the scale. Press and hold TARE/ZERO key. AOFF will appear on the indicator.
Programming the Auto Off Time. (Default: 180S)
With AOFF selected:
- Press TARE/ZERO key to enter Auto-off settings.
- Press UNIT key to toggle through options: 120S, 180S, 240S, 300S, OFF.
- Press TARE/ZERO key to select.
- Press UNIT key until “End” appears on indicator. Press TARE/ZERO key to save settings and restart scale
NOTE: Auto-off option is only activated when the scale is using battery
power. If adapter is plugged in, Auto-off will be automatically disabled.
SCALE CALIBRATION
This scale has been factory calibrated and does not require calibration prior to use. If required, the scale can be calibrated.
- 1. When the scale is off, hold the ON/OFF button while pressing the UNIT button 3 times. 2. You should have a raw count zero number value on the display for reference only.
- Press the UNIT key to select the unit of weight for this calibration. (recommended: kg)
- Making sure there is no weight on the platform, press the TARE/ZERO key. The display will show “0”.
- Place the 3000g calibration weight on the platform, and press the TARE/ZERO key. The display will show Cal, and then your test weight value.
- The scale will return you to normal weighing mode
