Tools Needed for Installation
- Nylon panel removal tool
- 10mm wrench
- 4mm hex key
- 1/4” drill bit
- 1/2” drill bit
- Drill
Included parts
- mounting panel
- filler plate
- 70mm M6 bolts
- 2- 2 3/8” spacers
- m6 nylon nuts
- 35mm m6 bolts
- 3/4” spacers
INSTALLATION
- Remove the Jeep Trailrail Ready plastic panel from the tailgate.
- Orient the Filler plate to line up with holes in the tailgate. Note the orientation of all 6 holes.
- Using 3- M6 35mm bolts, 3- 3/4” spacers, and 3- M6 NY loc nuts, bolt the filler plate to the mounting panel. The Central Logo will be on the right-hand side of the panel.
- Using 3- M6 35mm bolts and 3- 3/4” spacers, loosely bolt the filler plate to the tailgate, starting with the center bolt, then the outer bolts.
- You will need to slip the 3/4” spacers behind the filler plate during this step.
- Using a 1/4” drill bit, mark the location of the 2- lower holes on the mounting panel.
- Remove the 3- bolts holding the filler plate to the tailgate. Using a 1/2” drill bit, drill out the factory tailgate panel where you marked it in the previous step.
- Then, install the 2- 2 3/8” spacers into the holes you just drilled.
- Install the last 2- 3/4” spacers on top of the 2 3/8” spacers, then install the M6 70mm bolts. Tighten all fasteners. Installation is complete.
