LAVESE 100554 Mobile Washbasin Instruction Manual
Operating instructions
Mobile washbasin Please read thoroughly before using the washbasin for the first time!
Due to ongoing product improvements, illustrations may differ slightly from the original.
Congratulations on your new mobile LAVESE® washbasin.
Using the LAVESE® washbasin is very simple. However, be sure to observe the following instructions for correct use, especially before using it for the first time.
Basic information
- The mobile washbasin is suitable for washing and cleaning hands, face or even small objects (e.g. cutlery) and may only be filled with clean drinking water. Please note: The containers are not safe for food and the water from the fresh-water-tank should not be drunk.
- Do not leave the product in the sun for long periods of time.
- Replace damaged or non-functional parts immediately.
- Only store filled containers outside the frost area.
- For transport in a vehicle: Please observe the road traffic regulations of your country. In principle, the washbasin must be adequately secured during transport in a motor vehicle.
- Do not leave the container under pressure for a long period of time.
- Do not unscrew the pump from the tank when the tank is under pressure. Pull up the pressure relief valve first and release the pressure. (Fig. 10).
- Do not blow clogged nozzles / valves with your mouth.
- For safety reasons, children are only allowed to use the mobile washbasin under supervision.
Check before each use of the washbasin:
Are all parts that are under pressure and contain and conduct liquids
undamaged?
Make the washbasin ready for use
-
Only use the LAVESE® washbasin on a flat, horizontal surface.
-
Screw the grey sealing cap hand-tight onto the front of the grey waste water tank (Fig. 1).
-
Fill the fresh water tank with clean water via the opening for the pump (Fig. 2).
The maximum fill level (approx. 8,5 l) is indicated by the marking on the back of the tank and must not be exceeded.
Screw the pump firmly into the container holding the handle (do not turn the
ribbed ring!). Make sure to push the pump handle all the way down over the two
guide openings and only then hand-tighten it. When turning off the pump later,
only do so in this lowest position of the pump (Fig. 3). When turning off
the pump, hold it only by the handle and do not turn the ribbed ring! Failure
to observe these instructions may result in damage to the pump!
-
Place the fresh water tank on top of the waste water tank and secure the fresh water tank to the waste water tank using the two buckles on the side (Fig. 4).
-
Insert the two black holders into the outer grooves provided on top of the water tank (Fig. 5).
-
Mount the hand soap and/or hand disinfection dispenser in the dispel nserholder by unscrewing and removing the cover with the pump of the dispenser, holding the soap/hand dis infection container under the ring in the black holder, put the pump back in from above through the ring back in the dispenser (Fig. 6) and screw it hand-tight so the dispenser sits firmly in the holder.
Use of the mobile washbasin
-
Create pressure in the fresh water tank by moving the pump up and down (max. 6 strokes) (Fig. 7) and then lock it in the lowest position. Caution: deliberate excessive pumping creates high pressure in the fresh water tank. Although the pressure relief valve will automatically open at a certain internal pressure and reduce the pressure in the tank, we strongly recommend not to carry out more than 6 strokes with the tank previously free of pressure in order to protect the material. However, a slight expansion of the tank when internal pressure is generated is normal!
-
Open the drain plug in the basin to drain the water into the waste water tank by turning it 1-2 turns to the left (Fig. 8). It is not necessary to completely unscrew the drain plug!
-
To wash your hands or face, operate the outlet tap on the fresh water tank (Fig. 9).
-
We recommend sparing the use of water for which the product is also designed: Short, thorough moistening of the hands (jet strong water isn‘t necessary), closing the tap, thorough soaping (20-30 sec.), opening the tap and rinsing the hands (jet strong water isn‘t necessary), closing the tap. In this way, very frequent hand washing is possible with only one fresh water tank filling. In addition, the consumption of the valuable resource water is minimized.
-
After using the mobile wash basin, please close the water tap on the fresh water tank and also the drain plug of the basin.
-
Release the pressure by pulling the pressure relief valve (Fig. 10).
After use of the mobile washbasin
-
Empty the fresh water tank and waste water tank regularly and rinse them with clear water.
-
Never leave water in the containers for a long period of time, especially in hot temperatures. Empty the containers if they are not going to be used for a long time.
-
Empty the fresh water tank exclusively via the pump opening (unscrew the pump beforehand, follow the instructions for screwing in and out).
-
To empty the waste water tank, it can be separated from the fresh water tank if desired and also transported using the carrying strap. Place the tank upright and unscrew the large lid completely (Fig. 11). The tank can now be emptied. Tip: Fast, low-splash pouring is achieved by opening the drain plug by half a turn when emptying so that the container can draw air. Close the container tightly again after emptying.
-
Empty the waste water tank only into the wastewater network (toilet, sink, sewer).
TIP: If the fresh water tank is under high internal pressure for a longer
period of time, the tank may not return to its original shape (Fig. 12). A
simple measure will help here. The tank should be completely empty for this.
Separate the tanks and place the fresh water tank with its back on the ground
(Fig. 13). Now exert pressure on the tank, e.g. with your knee, and at the
same time open the pressure relief valve (Fig. 14) until all air has
escaped from the tank and it is back in its normal shape. Now close the
pressure relief valve. Now let the tank stand for at least 1 hour (Fig.
15). The tank will now regain its original shape.
Care of the product
- Depending on the hardness of the tap water you fill into the tank, you should clean the tanks approx. every 6 months with a commercially available descaler. To do this, fill warm water into the tanks and add an appropriate amount of descaling agent. After the reaction time (see manufacturer‘s information for the descaling agent), empty the tanks and rinse thoroughly.
- The surfaces of the LAVESE® washbasin are best cleaned with a mild cleaning gent, e.g. soap. Never use scouring agents or aggressive bathroom cleaners.
