RSEAT D-BOX HF Rest Haptic Frame

Product Information

The D-BOX Haptic System is a device that provides haptic feedback during use. It is not recommended for children under the age of ten, pregnant women, or individuals with preexisting medical conditions. The system may cause harm if used improperly or near
heat sources. Users should consult their physicians before using the D-BOX Haptic System.

The D-BOX Haptic System has a maximum load capacity of 400kg (880lbs), which includes the user(s) and equipment. The usable area of the system can house furniture or a sim rig. The system comes with various parts, toolkit, and hardware, including a chassis,
bracket support, brackets V1, V2, and V3, cables, and adjustment hex key wrenches.

Product Usage Instructions

Unpacking and Assembly

1. Ensure at least two people are present during lifting operations.
2. Step 1.1: Cut the stripes.
3. Step 1.2: Remove the box cover.
4. Step 1.3: Remove all additional packaging and lift the chassis.

Installation of Bracket Support

1. Step 2.1: Install the bracket support (part 2) on all four sides by sliding it into the T-Channel.
2. Step 2.2: Adjust and fix the bracket support using the provided 5mm hex key wrench. Tighten both 6mm bolts to secure the bracket support.

SIM Rig Setup – Extrusion

The D-BOX Haptic System supports extrusion-based chassis with minimum and maximum base profile heights. Please refer to the specifications for the supported heights.

PARTS / TOOL KIT / HARDWARE

1. RSEAT HF-L4 Haptic Frame main assembly. Factory assembled.
2. 4xMounting bracket bottom support.
3. 4xMounting bracket v1. For sofa and furniture mounting.
4. 4xMounting bracket v2. For Aluminum extrusion sim racing chassis. Include bolts 4xM8x16mm, 8xM6x30mm, 4xT-Slot Nut Slot 10 – M8, two left and right brackets v2.
5. 4x Mounting bracket v3. For round or square tube based sim racing chassis.
6. Adjustment Hex key wrenches. 1x5mm, 1x6mm
7. USB communication cable (from PC to RSEAT HF-L4) , Power cable (110v-230v) to RSEAT HF-L4 haptic frame.

UNPACKING AND ASSEMBLY

STEP 1
REQUIRE AT LEAST TWO PERSONS TO BE PRESENT DURING LIFTING OPERATIONS

STEP 2
INSTALL BRACKET SUPPORT (PART2) ON ALL FOUR SIDES.

SIM RIG SETUP – EXTRUSION

• STEP 1
  PUT SIM RIG ON THE RSEAT HF-L4 CHASSIS. TEAM LIFT REQUIRED.

  • STEP 1.1
    4 x Bracket V2 (part 4) required (two left and right brackets included). Use M6x30mm bolts provided. Adjust with 5mm HEX key.

  • STEP 1.2
    Install M8 T-Slot nut provided on each corner of the sim rig.

  • STEP 1.3
    Slide the bracket v2 assembly in to the T-Channel.

  • STEP 1.4
    Adjust and fix the BRACKET v2 Assembly using the 5mm HEX key provided.
    Tight both 6mm bolts to fix the bracket support. Fix the bracket v2 assembly to sim rig chassis using M8x16 bolts provided and 6mm HEX key. Make sure to tight all fasteners before use.

SIM RIG SETUP – TUBING

• STEP 1
  PUT SIM RIG ON THE RSEAT HF-L4 CHASSIS. TEAM LIFT REQUIRED.

  • STEP 1.1
    4 x Bracket v3 (PART 5) required.
    IMPORTANT!
    Tighten BRACKET SUPPORT (PART 2), before securing Bracket V3.
    Adjust with 6mm HEX key.

  • STEP 1.2
    Every sim racing chassis has different mounting approach. BRACKET v3 assembly is universal. If you have difficulties with the approach and bracket location please contact us.

  • STEP 1.3
    Adjust and fix the BRACKET v3 Assembly using the 6mm HEX key provided.

• STEP 1
  PUT SIM RIG ON THE RSEAT HF-L4 CHASSIS. TEAM LIFT REQUIRED.

  • STEP 1.1
    4 x Bracket V1 (part 3) required Adjust and fix with the 6mm HEX key.

  • STEP 1.2
    4 x Bracket v1 (PART 3) required.
    IMPORTANT!
    Tighten BRACKET SUPPORT (PART 2), before securing Bracket V1. Tight both 6mm bolts with 5mm HEX key to fix the bracket support. Install 4xBracket v1. Do not tighten Bracket v1 yet.

  • STEP 1.3
    Place the sofa on RSEAT HF-L4 Haptic Frame. Team Lift Required.

  • STEP 1.4
    Make sure each leg is secured.
    Tighten Bracket support v1 with 6mm Hex key provided.

CONNECTION / SOFTWARE

POWER UP
INSTALL COMMUNICATION AND POWER CABLES TO RSEAT HF-L4

• STEP 1.1
  Part 7 ( USB cable) Connect USB From RSEAT HF-L4 to PC. RSEAT HF-L4 is WINDOWS® PC compatible only

• STEP 1.2
  Part 7 (power cable) Connect to power supply.
  110/230V Power supply required.
  Make sure the voltage input match the one printed on your RSEAT HF-L4 sticker (check the image above)

CREATE YOUR D-BOX CONNECT ACCOUNT

Create your D-BOX Connect account. This is mandatory to install and update haptic codes for D-BOX Coded Games and have access to haptic codes for D-BOX Coded Movies.

D-BOX Control Panel

The D-BOX Control Panel allows you to configure system parameters such as the global intensity level, Motion /Vibration Balance, and latency. There is also a test button to verify that your system is working properly.

Default Mode:
Park: Haptic actuators will go to its lower position when there are no haptic activities (minimum electrical consumption).
Hold Center: Haptic actuators will stay in the middle position when there are no haptic activities.

D-BOX Game Center
The D-BOX Game Center is an application to install the D-BOX compatible games haptic codes as well as manage and edit games profile.

NOTE: A D-BOX Connect account is required to install and receive software & haptic code updates.
Select your haptic experience from the dropdown menu:

• D-BOX Coded Gaming: Premium haptic experiences for D-BOX coded apps, simulators & games.
  Use the adaptive gaming mode if your title is not in the list.

D-BOX Adaptive Gaming Configurator
This application allows you to build, modify and activate your Adaptive Gaming profiles. You can also share your favorite profiles with other D-BOX users!

D-BOX HaptiSync App
This application allows you to setup and control your D-BOX Coded Video experience using audio synchronization. A valid HaptiSync subscription is required (see section 7):

D-BOX System Monitor
This application displays live health and operational data on all connected Haptic Systems. This is useful to troubleshoot your system:.

D-BOX Stimuli Presenter
The D-BOX Stimuli Presenter is a keyboard-controlled application to send basic signals to the haptic system, helpful for tests and demos:
