Introduction

This 30oz tumbler heat press machine allows you to control temperature, pressure and press time to apply sublimation prints to:

  • 30oz straight skinny tumblers
  • 20oz straight skinny tumblers
  • 11oz or 15oz ceramic mugs
  • Other cylindrical sublimation blanks

Using the Press

Setting the Pressure
While the press is turned off and cold it is important to adjust the fit and pressure that will be placed on the item(s) being pressed.

  1. Open the press by lifting up on the handle
  2. Place the item to be pressed in the heating element and ensure correct positioning
  3. Press down on the handle to close the element.
  4. Open the press again and, if necessary, adjust the pressure up or down using the 2 pressure control knobs (see “Figure 1 – Labelled Component Diagram” on page 4) and test the pressure again
  5. Repeat as needed until the desired fit and pressure is achieved

SPECIAL NOTE – A mug or tumbler must always be present in the heating element while the press is powered on. This is to protect the heating elements shape and surface, and prolong its life.

Setting the Temperature and Timer
Make sure the power cord is securely connected to the tumbler press and to an electrical outlet. and turn the power on with the switch on the side of the LCD control unit (see “Figure 1 – Labelled Component Diagram” on page 4).

  1. Press the OK button once
  2. “P-1” will appear on the display
  3. Use the Up and Down arrow buttons to set the desired temperature.
  4. Press the ENTER button and “P-2” will appear on the display
  5. Use the Up and Down arrow buttons to set the desired timer length.
  6. Press ENTER again to apply the temperature and time settings.

Changing Temperature Units
You can change the temperature units between Fahrenheit and Celsius by pressing and holding the OK button until you see “P-3” on the display.

Use the Up and Down arrows to change between Fahrenheit and Celsius, then press ENTER to exit to the main screen.
Pressing an Item
The heat press will make a sound when the set temperature is achieved. Once the press is ready:

  1. Place the transfer on or around the mug or tumbler and secure the transfer with heat tape
  2. Place a piece of parchment paper around the mug or tumbler to protect the heating element (see Special Note below
  3. Place the object to be pressed in the heating element
  4. Close the press and the timer will start automatically
  5. The press will make a sound when the timer reaches 0
  6. Lift the handle to open the heating element and remove the item – BE CAREFUL IT WILL BE HOT!

SPECIAL NOTE – It is always advisable to place a sheet of parchment paper around the mug or tumbler being pressed – this protects your heating element from potential fouling from the transfer.

Example Settings

While these settings can be used as a guideline you should always use temperature, pressure and time recommendations from the manufacturer of the item you are pressing. The values provided below are just estimates.

Maintenance and Safety Information

  • This machine is not suitable for children
  • This machine is not for use with food
  • Please turn off the machine and unplug the power cord when the machine is not in use
  • The machine will automatically turn off and cool down if not-used for 30 minutes
  • You may hear a fan noise when the temperature of heat platen reaches 80°C (176°F). This fan is designed to reduce the temperature of electronic parts to prolong the service life
