DAE9KF47NHk Creating an Announcement on Portal
Announcements are commonly used for communicating information through
inductions or sites such as emergency evacuation plans, toolbox talks, pre-
starts, or to display company policies.
You can upload PDFs, video/audio files, images, or links as an announcement.
Step 1
On the left sidebar, go to Editor and then Announcements.
Step 2
Fill out the following details:
Type – The type of file the announcement will be.
Title – The name of the announcement.
Data/Link – If you select PDF, audio, video or image as the Type, click Choose
File to upload the data. If the Type of announcement is an external link,
YouTube video, or text, you can paste the URL of the content here.
Display Mode – When the announcement will occur (i.e. anytime, upon check in,
or pre-check in.
Announcement Group – Allows announcements to be organized and categorised by
group.
Is Active? – An active announcement is ready to be activated, and an inactive
announcement is not.
Step 3
To complete the announcement, select Add New Announcement → Add New
Announcement
Extra Note
These are the recommended settings for common announcements.
Emergency Evacuation Plan:
Type → PDF or Image
Display Mode → Any time
Quick Notification (e.g. delivery at site entrance at 10am / crane works
at 12pm):
Type → Text
Display Mode → Check In / Any time
Toolbox Talks:
Type → Video (if recorded) / PDF
Display Mode → Any time
