Product Information
The Thule multisport and bike trailers are designed to provide a safe and convenient way to transport children while cycling or engaging in other outdoor activities. These trailers are equipped with various safety features to ensure the well-being of the child and to prevent accidents. It is important to follow the manufacturer’s instructions and guidelines to avoid serious injuries or even death.
Safety Instructions:
- s15: Always engage parking brake when placing and removing children.
- s16: Do not allow any part of the child’s body, clothing, shoe laces, or toys to come in contact with moving parts.
- s17: Do not use this child carrier around or near an open fire or exposed flame. Carelessness can cause fire.
- s18: Do not use this child carrier on stairs or escalators.
- s19: Before each journey, make sure that the wheels are securely locked in the carrier.
- s20: Always use the restraint system to avoid serious injury from falling or sliding out.
- s21: This seat unit is not suitable for children under 6 months.
- s22: Children must be at least 6 months old and able to sit upright unassisted.
- s23: For cycling, the child must be old enough to wear a helmet and sit upright unattended. Consult a pediatrician if the child is less than one year old.
- s24: Parcels or accessory items placed on the unit may cause instability. Only use Thule approved rack products.
- s25: Any load attached to the handlebar affects the stability of the child carrier.
- s26: Do not install a car seat or any other seating device inside the trailer that has not been approved by Thule.
- s27: When using this carrier with the Thule Bicycle Trailer Kit, please also follow the owner’s manual of the kit.

- s44: Always attach the hitch’s backup safety strap and ensure it is properly secured to your bicycle frame.
Product Usage Instructions

- Do not use the child carrier on stairs or escalators.
- Before each journey, check and securely lock the wheels in the carrier.
- Always use the restraint system to prevent the child from falling or sliding out.
- This seat unit is not suitable for children under 6 months old.
- Children must be at least 6 months old and able to sit upright unassisted to use this carrier.
- If cycling, ensure the child is old enough to wear a helmet and sit upright unattended. Consult a pediatrician if the child is less than one year old.
- Avoid placing parcels or accessory items on the carrier that may cause instability. Only use Thule approved rack products.
- Avoid attaching any load to the handlebar that may affect the stability of the child carrier.
- Do not install any car seat or seating device inside the trailer that has not been approved by Thule.
- When using this carrier with the Thule Bicycle Trailer Kit, refer to the owner’s manual of the kit for additional instructions.
- Ensure the hitch arm load is within the specified range of 0.1kg/0.22lb to 8kg/17.6lb.

Secure the child in the harness at all times.

Do not carry extra children or bags on this child carrier.

Never leave the child unattended.

Ensure that all the locking devices are engaged before use.

Do not let the child play with this product.

Check that the pram body or seat unit or car seat attachment devices are correctly engaged before use.

This product is not suitable for running or skating, unless a Thule Jogging Kit is attached.

Carrier shall be used only for up to the number of children for which it has been designed.

Only use replacement parts supplied or approved by the manufacturer.

Do not use any accessories or replacement parts that are not approved by Thule.

Care must be taken when folding and unfolding this child carrier to prevent finger entrapment. To avoid injury ensure that the child is kept away when unfolding and folding this product.

This child carrier will become unstable if the manufacturer’s recommended load is exceeded.

When using this carrier with the Thule Bicycle Trailer Kit, please also follow the owner’s manual of 5561731001 3 the bicycle used for towing and their specifications regarding the maximum allowable full load for the bicycle.

The bicycle to which the trailer will be attached should undergo a safety check by a qualified bicycle mechanic before attaching the trailer to it.

Before using the product, check local regulations about where and how to use the product.

This carrier is intended to transport children in daylight hours, on sidewalks, light traffic public roads, and smooth paths.

A safety light is recommended when used in low light conditions.

Do not transport people together with animals.

While transporting children in the trailer, a rearview mirror shall be applied to the bicycle.

The maximum number of transported children shall not exceed two.

When transporting children in the trailer, the minimum age of the driver is 16 years.

Do not use this carrier on rough offroad terrain.

Do not exceed maximum weight limits. Do not use with children who exceed the weight limitations.

Do not use at excessive speeds.

Do not modify this stroller in any way.

Always wear a helmet that complies with local regulations.

Never ride a bicycle at night without adequate lighting. Obey all local legal requirements for lighting.

Use extreme caution while trailering, never exceed 25km/h / 15mph, and slow down to less than 10km/h / 6mph around corners and on rough roads.

The hitch arm load shall be no less than 0.1kg/0.22lb and no greater than 8kg/17.6lb.

Always attach the hitch’s backup safety strap. Do not use the Bicycle Trailer if you cannot attach the hitch’s back-up safety strap around your bicycle frame for any reason! Failure to install the hitch’s back up safety strap may lead to the Thule child carrier becoming separated from the bicycle. Bicycle should undergo a safety check by a qualified bicycle mechanic before attaching the trailer.

When using this child carrier with only one child, the child should be seated in the right side.

The user of this child carrier must be aware of exposure hazards such as wind chill and heat exhaustion, either by less active children in prolonged exposure in colder temperatures, or by extended periods in warmer temperatures without adequate ventilation or hydration.

When this child carrier is used as a bicycle trailer, the weather cover should be closed to prevent debris from entering the carrier.

A reflector that complies with local regulations shall be visible on the rear of this child carrier when it is used for cycling. Red reflectors shall be visible on the rear of the trailer.

Before each ride, ensure the attached child carrier does not interfere with braking, pedaling, or steering of the bicycle.

When turning left, the angle must not exceed 90°.

Always use safety flag.

The quick-release knob must be tightened on the quick-release skewer completely with at least two screw threads showing past the end of the quick-release knob to ensure the rear wheel of the bicycle does not loosen off. Always make sure that the quick-release is correctly attached. An incorrectly tensioned quick-release may lead to accidental loosening of the rear wheel.

The nut on the rear axle must be tightened by at least 5 full turns to ensure adequate clamping force.
You may discard the original washer on some axles to make room for the ezHitch. Check with your bicycle retailer to be certain. Depending on the hub type, the existing torque support washer for the hub must stay on the frame. Please follow the assembly instructions for the hub and the manufacturer’s torque specifications when fastening the axle nut. -
The proper service and care of this child carrier affects the performance and safety of it.

Cycle trailers pulled by an EPAC can be restricted by law. Obey all local legal requirements.

Be aware of the negative influence of the trailer on the braking distance of the cycle when the trailer is attached.
