Safety regulations and warnings
Before using the device
Read the user manual and installation instructions accurately. It contains important information about installation, use and maintenance of the device.
The manufacturer accepts no liability if the clues and warnings not be observed in the operating instructions. Keep the operating instructions and installation instructions for later use or for future reference any subsequent owner.
Technical safety
Fire hazard
A small amount of environmentally friendly, but flammable refrigerant (R600a)
flows through the pipes of the refrigerant circuit. This does not harm the
ozone layer and does not increase the greenhouse effect. However, escaping
refrigerant can cause eye damage or catch fire.
In case of damage
- Avoid open flames or other ignition sources keep near the device;
- Ventilate the room well for a few minutes;
- Switch off the device and pull the plug from the socket;
- Contact Customer Service.
The more refrigerant the device contains, the larger the room in which the
device is installed.
In a space that is too small, a leak can create a flammable mixture of gas and
air.
The room must be at least 1 m³ per 8 g of refrigerant. The amount of refrigerant in your appliance can be found on the rating plate on the inside of the appliance.
When setting up the device, make sure that the connecting cable is not pinched or damaged.
If the connecting cable of the device is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service or another qualified person. Improper installation and repairs can be dangerous to the user of the device.
Repairs may only be carried out by the manufacturer, customer service or another qualified person.
Only original parts from the manufacturer may be used. Only these parts are
warranted by the manufacturer to comply with the meet safety requirements.
Do not use multiple outlets, extension cords, or adapters.
Fire hazard
Portable Multiple wall outlets or portable power supplies can overheat and
cause a fire. Do not place a portable multiple outlets or portable power
supplies behind the device.
When using

Never use electrical appliances in the appliance (e.g. heating devices, electric ice cream makers, etc.).
Explosion danger! -
Never defrost or clean the appliance with a steam cleaner! The hot steam can get into the electrical parts and cause a short circuit. Danger of electric shock!

Apart from the recommendations of the manufacturer does not take additional measures to speed up defrosting. Explosion danger!

Vulnerable are children/ persons with physical, mental or sensory disabilities, as well as persons who have insufficient knowledge of the safe operation of the device.
Make sure that children and vulnerable persons understand the dangers. A person responsible for
safety should supervise children and vulnerable persons near or instructing them.
Only allow children from 8 years to use the appliance. Children should be supervised during cleaning and maintenance. Never let children play with the appliance.

Avoid prolonged contact of your hands with the frozen food, ice or the evaporator tubes, etc. Risk of frostbite!
Children in the household
- Packaging materials and parts thereof are not toys for children. Choking hazard due to * Disposal of the packaging foldable cardboard boxes and of your new device foil!
- The device is not a toy for children!
- For a device with a door lock: keep the key out of the reach of children!
General provisions
The device is suitable
- for cooling and freezing foodstuffs,
- for making ice cream.
This appliance is intended for private use in the household and domestic
environment.
The cooling circuit has been checked for leaks.
This device complies with the applicable safety regulations for electrical
equipment and is radio interference suppressed.
This device is intended for use at altitudes up to 2,000 meters above sea
level.
Directions about the drain
Disposal of the packaging of your new device
The packaging protects your device against transport damage. The materials used are harmless to the environment and can be reused. So help and take care that the packaging is disposed of in an environmentally friendly manner.
You can contact your supplier or the cleaning service inquire in your municipality about how to dispose of your old appliance and the packaging material of the new appliance for environmentally friendly processing.
Disposal of your old device
Old appliances are not worthless waste! Valuable raw materials can be recovered through environmentally friendly disposal.
This appliance is marked in accordance with the European Directive 2012/19/EU on waste electrical and electronic equipment (waste electrical and electronic equipment – WEEE).
The directive sets the framework for the take-back and disposal of old appliances that is valid in the EU.

With discarded appliances
- Pull out the mains plug.
- Cut the connection cable and remove it together with the plug.
- Do not remove shelves and storage compartments to make it difficult for children to climb in!
- Do not allow children to play with the discarded appliance. Choking hazard!
Refrigerators contain refrigerant and gas in the insulation. Which must be disposed of carefully. In order to ensure efficient and environmentally friendly disposal, the pipes of the cooling circuit must not be damaged until transport.

After unpacking, check all parts for any transport damage.

The right place
Any dry, well-ventilated room is suitable.
Do not place the appliance in the sun or next to a stove, heating radiator or
other heat source. If installation next to a heat source is unavoidable, use
an insulating plate or observe the following minimum distances from the heat
source:
- Next to electric or gas stoves 3 cm.
- In addition to a central heating system 30 cm.
The floor at the installation site may not give way, floor possibly strengthen. Any imperfections in the floor by putting something underneath.
Distance to the wall

The device does not require a wall clearance to the side. The drawers and
shelves can nevertheless be fully extended.
Watch the ambient temperature and the aeration
Ambient temperature
The device is designed for a specific climate class. Depending on the climate class, the device can be used at the following ambient temperatures.

Note
The device is fully functional within the indoor temperature limits of the
indicated climate class. When a device of climate class SN is used at a lower
indoor temperature.

Aeration

The air at the rear wall and the side walls of the appliance is heated. The
heated air must be able to be discharged without hindrance. Otherwise, the
chiller has to perform more, increasing energy consumption.
The ventilation openings must therefore never be covered!
Connect device
After installing the device, you must wait at least 1 hour before using the device. During transport, the oil from the compressor may enter the refrigeration system.
Before using the appliance for the first time, clean the interior of the appliance (see chapter „Cleaning the device”).
Electrical connection
The mains socket must be close to the device and easily accessible even after setting up the device.
m Warning
Danger of electric shock!
If the connecting cable is not long enough, do not under any circumstances use
multiple outlets or extension cords.
Instead, contact customer service for alternative solutions.
The device complies with protection class I.
Connect the device to a installed 220–240 V/50 Hz AC outlet with ground wire.
The socket must be protected with a 10 A to 16 A fuse.
For appliances that are used in non European countries, check whether the connection voltage and the type of current correspond to the values of your electricity network. You will find this information on the type plate, fig. +.
m Warning
Under no circumstances may the device be connected to electronic energy saving plugs.
Mains power inverters and sine wave inverters can be used for our devices. Mains power inverters are used in photovoltaic installations that are directly connected to the public power grid. For stand-alone systems (eg on ships or in mountain huts) that do not have a direct connection to the public electricity grid, a sine wave inverter must be used.

Switch on device

- Plug in the mains plug. Cold room
- The alarm signal sounds. The temperature display 3 flashes.
- Press the temperature setting button 1. The alarm signal goes off.
As soon as the freezer compartment has reached the set temperature, temperature display 3 lights up.
The factory recommends the following settings:
- Cold room: medium setting
- Freezer compartment: -18 °C
Store sensitive foods in the refrigerator compartment.
Instructions for use
- After switching on, it can take several hours before the set temperatures are reached.
- The fully automatic NoFrost system keeps the freezer compartment free of ice. Defrosting is unnecessary.
- The front of the appliance behind the door is partially heated slightly, which prevents the formation of condensation near the door seal.
- If the door of the freezer compartment cannot be opened again immediately after closing, wait a while until the negative pressure has disappeared.
Set up the temperature
Cold room
Turn the temperature control, Fig. !/8, to the desired setting.
We recommend the setting on the marking.
By changing the setting clockwise, the temperature in the refrigerator
compartment decreases.
At a room temperature below 16 °C, set the device slightly warmer. At a room temperature above 32 °C, set the device slightly colder.
Selecting a very cold setting momentarily only if:
- the door is often opened,
- large quantities of food are placed in the refrigerator compartment.
freezer room
The temperature is adjustable from -18 °C to -24 °C.
Press the temperature setting button 1 repeatedly until the desired
temperature in the freezer compartment is set.
The last set value is stored in memory. The set temperature is displayed on
the temperature indicator 3 is indicated.
eco
With the “eco” function, you switch the device to energy-saving operation.
The device is automatically set to the following temperatures:
- Freezer compartment: 16 °C
Enable Eco
Press the temperature setting button 1 several times until the “eco” display is accentuated.
Alarm functions

door alarm
The door alarm (continuous beep) is activated when the appliance door is left open for more than one minute. By closing the door the alarm signal is switched off again.
Temperature alarm
The temperature alarm is activated if it is too hot in the freezer
compartment, which can cause the frozen food to thaw.
The temperature display, Fig. “/3, flashes.
Without any danger to the frozen food, the alarm can switch on automatically:
- when using the device
- when loading large quantities of fresh food,
- if the freezer compartment door has been opened for too long.
Note
Do not refreeze partially or completely thawed frozen food. They can only be
frozen again after cooking or roasting into a ready-made dish.
Do not make full use of the maximum retention time.

You will find information about the net content on the type plate in your
appliance.

Freezing power full utilize
The containers can be removed to accommodate the maximum amount of frozen food. The food can then be stacked directly on the shelf and on the bottom of the freezer compartment.
Note
Prevent the food from touching the rear wall. Otherwise, air circulation will
be reduced.
Food or packaging can freeze to the rear wall.
Removing parts
Pull out freezer drawers as far as they will go, lift at the front and remove.

The cold room
The refrigerator compartment is an ideal place for storing meat, sausage, fish, dairy products, eggs, prepared foods and bread/ pastry.
Take into account when storing
- Store fresh, undamaged food. This way, the quality and freshness are preserved for longer.
- For ready-made products and filled products, observe the expiry date or use by date stated by the manufacturer
- Store the food well wrapped or covered to preserve aroma, color and freshness. This prevents odor transfer and discoloration of the plastic parts in the cooling compartment.
- Allow hot dishes and drinks to cool down before placing them in the appliance.
Note
Do not block vents with food to avoid impeding air circulation. Foods
immediately before the vents are stored can freeze due to the cold air flowing
out.
Pay attention to the cold zones in the refrigerator compartment.
Due to the air circulation in the cold room, various cold zones are created:
- The coldest zone is in the upper area of the refrigerator compartment.
Note
Store sensitive foods (e.g. fish, sausage, meat) in the coldest zone.
- The warmest zone is at the bottom of the door and in the vegetable drawer.
Note
Store eg hard cheese and butter in the warmest zone. Cheese can further
develop its aroma and the butter remains well spreadable.

At high humidity, leafy vegetables stay fresh longer. Store fruits and
vegetables at a slightly lower temperature.
The humidity in the crisper drawer depends on the amount of food stored.
Note
Excessive humidity can cause water droplets to form and lead to rot.

Using the freezer compartment
- for storing frozen products,
- to make ice cubes,
- to freeze food.
Note
Note that the door of the freezer compartment is closed properly! When the
door is open, the frozen foods. A lot of ice forms in the freezer compartment.
In addition: energy wasted due to excessive power consumption!
Freezing capacity
Information on the freezing capacity can be found on the type plate. Fig. +
Conditions for freezing capacity
- Switch on super freezing 24 hours before adding fresh food (see chapter Super freezing).
- Preferably freeze large quantities of food in the lower compartment. There they are frozen very quickly and therefore carefully.
Freeze and store
Buy from frozen foods
- The packaging must not be damaged.
- Note the expiration date.
- The temperature in the sales fridge should be -18°C or colder.
- Preferably transport the frozen products in a cool bag and quickly place them in the freezer compartment.
Attention when tidying up
-
It is preferable to freeze large quantities of food in the lower freezer drawer. They get there very quickly and therefore careful frozen.
-
Place the food side by side in the compartments or freezer drawers.
Note
The fresh food to be frozen must not come into contact with food that has already been frozen. If necessary, the frozen stack food in the freezer drawers. -
To ensure good air circulation in the appliance, push in the freezer drawer as far as it will go.
Storing frozen foods
Push the freezer drawer in all the way to ensure good air circulation.
Fresh foods freeze
Only use fresh food.
To best preserve the nutritional value, aroma and color, vegetables should be blanched before being frozen. Blanching is not possible with aubergines, peppers, courgettes and asparagus necessary.
You can find literature on freezing and blanching in bookstores.
Note
Food which has already been frozen may not be used with the yet-to-be-frozen

- Suitable for freezing: Baked goods, fish and seafood, meat, game, poultry, vegetables, fruit, herbs, peeled eggs, dairy products such as cheese, butter and quark, prepared dishes and leftovers such as soup, stews, cooked meat and fish, potato dishes, casseroles and sweet desserts.
- Not suitable for freezing: Vegetables that are usually eaten raw, such as lettuce and radishes, whole eggs, wine
grapes, whole apples, pears and peaches, hard-boiled eggs, yogurt, thick soured milk, sour cream, crème frache and mayonnaise.
Pack frozen foods
Pack the foodstuffs airtight so that they do not dry out or lose their flavour.
- Place food in the packaging.
- Press out air.
- Provide the whole with a good closure.
- State the contents and freezing date on the packages.
Suitable for packaging:
Plastic, polyethylene and aluminum foil, freezer boxes. These products are
commercially available.
Not suitable for packaging:
Wrapping paper, parchment paper, cellophane, waste bags and used shopping
bags.
Suitable as closure:
rubber bands, plastic clips, strings, cold resistant adhesive tape, etc You
can seal bags and wrap film made of polyethylene (PE) with a film sealer.
Shelf life of the frozen foods
The shelf life depends on the type of food.
At a temperature of -18 °C:
-
Fish, sausage, ready meals, bread and pastries:
up to 6 months. -
Cheese, poultry, meat:
up to 8 months. -
Vegetables fruit:
up to 12 months.
super freezing
Foods should be frozen to the core as frozen foods quickly as possible to preserve vitamins, nutritional value, appearance and taste.
The appliance works continuously after the super freeze has been switched on. The temperatures of the freezer compartments are significantly lower than during normal operation.
Switch on super freezing a few hours before freezing fresh food to avoid unwanted prevent temperature rise.
If you want to use the freezing capacity according to the rating plate, you must switch on the super freezing 24 hours before freezing the fresh product.
Smaller amounts of food (max. 2 kg) can be stored without using the super freezing system frozen.
Note
Operating noises may increase when the super freeze system is turned on.
Switch on and off

Press the temperature setting button 1 several times until the super 2 display
lights up .
The super freezing system is Automatically disabled for 2½ days.
Defrosting frozen foods
Depending on the type and method of preparation of the food, you can choose from the following options:
- at ambient temperature
- in the fridge
- in the electric oven, with/without hot air fan
- in the microwave
m Attention
Do not refreeze partially or completely thawed frozen food. They can only be
frozen again after cooking or roasting into a ready-made dish.
This shortens the maximum storage time.
Performance
You can move the shelves and the door compartments as desired:

Pull the shelf forward, lower it slightly and swing it out to the side. Fig. &

Special edition
(not on all models)
Butter and cheese box
The butter compartment opens by applying a light pressure in the middle of the
flap. To clean, lift the butter compartment slightly from below and take it
out.
Cold battery
The cold accumulator can be removed to temporarily keep food cool (eg in a
cool bag).
The cold battery slows down in the event of a power failure or malfunction
heating the stored frozen food.

- Fill the ice tray with drinking water and place in the freezer compartment.
- Only release the frozen ice tray with a blunt object (handle of a spoon).
- To loosen the ice cubes: slightly bend the ice tray or briefly hold it under running water.

Sticker “OK”
(not on all models)
With the “OK” sticker you can check whether the prefood recommended safe temperature ranges +4 °C or colder have been reached. If the sticker does not indicate “OK”, the temperature should be reduced incrementally.
Note
It may take up to 12 hours to reach the set temperature after using the device
Correct setting
Switch off device and out of action set
Switching off the device
Pull out the mains plug or unscrew or disconnect the fuse. Switch of Chiller
shuts down.
Decommissioning the device
If you do not use the device for along time:
- Pull out the mains plug or switch off the fuse.
- Clean the device.
- Leave the appliance doors open.
Cleaning the device
m Attention

Do not use cleaning agents or solvents containing sand, chloride or acids.
-
Do not use abrasive or scratching sponges.
Corrosion can develop on the metal surfaces. -
The shelves and storage compartments must not be cleaned in the dishwasher.
They can distort!
The cleaning water must not enter the following areas:
- Controls
- Relief
- Vents
- Openings in the separator plate
Proceed as follows:

Pull out the mains plug or switch off the fuse.
-
Remove frozen food and store in a cool place.
Place the cold accumulator (if present) on the food. -
The flushing water must not enter the controls, lighting, ventilation openings or the openings of the separator plate!Clean the appliance with a soft cloth and lukewarm water with a dash of pH neutral detergent.
-
Clean the door seal only with clean water and wipe dry thoroughly.
-
After cleaning, reconnect the device.
-
Put frozen food back in the freezer compartment.
Performance
All variable parts of the device can be removed for cleaning.
Remove shelves from the door

Pull the glass shelves forward and remove.

Pull out container as far as it will go, lift at the front and remove.

Pull out freezer drawers as far as they will go, lift at the front and remove.
Lighting (LED)
The device is equipped with maintenance-free LED lighting.
Repairs to this lighting may only be carried out by the after-sales service or
an authorized specialist.
Save energy
-
Place the device in a dry, well-ventilated room! Do not place the device directly in the sun or near a heat source such as a radiator or stove.
If necessary, use an insulation board. -
Allow hot dishes and drinks to cool down before placing them in the appliance.
-
Place frozen foods in the refrigerator compartment to thaw them and use the coldness of the frozen foods to cool other foods.
-
Open the appliance doors for as short a time as possible.
-
For the lowest possible energy consumption: keep some distance to the wall on the sides.
-
The arrangement of the equipment parts does not affect the energy consumption of the device.
Operating Sounds
Very normal sounds
Note
If the super freeze is on, the operating noises may increase.
hum
The motors are running (eg cooling units, fan).
Bubbling, buzzing or gargling
Refrigerant flows through the tubes.
Clicking sounds
Motor, switch or solenoid valves switch on/off.
Popping Sounds
The automatic defrost system operates.
Preventing noises
The appliance is not level The device using set a water level. Use the screw feet for this or place something under the device.
The appliance is placed against another piece of furniture or appliance
Slide the appliance away from the furniture or appliance next to it.
Reservoirs or shelves wobble or jam
Check the parts that can be removed and put them back in the appliance if
necessary.

Separate the bottles or crockery from each other.
Fix minor faults yourself
Before calling for the assistance of the After-Sales Service:
First check whether you can remedy the malfunction by following the points
below. If you ask for a technician, and it turns out that he only needs to
give advice (e.g. on the operation or maintenance of the device) to fix the
malfunction then you must pay the full cost of that visit, including during
the warranty period Pay!

The door of the freezer room was open too long; the temperature is no longer
reached.| There is so much ice on the evaporator that it No Frost system no
more fully automatic defrosting.| To defrost the evaporator: remove the frozen
food drawers and store well insulated in a cool place. Switch off the
appliance and push it away from the wall. Leave the appliance door open. After
approx. 20 minutes the defrost water starts in the defrost water onto the tray
on the rear wall of the appliance. In order to prevent the defrost water
collecting tray overflows: absorb the defrost water with a sponge. If there is
no more defrost water in the drip tray is running, the evaporator is
defrosted. Clean the inside of the freezer compartment. Restart the appliance.

We always find a suitable solution and try to avoid unnecessary visits from
the service technician.
We ensure that the device is repaired by trained service technicians both
within the warranty period and after the manufacturer’s warranty has expired
with original spare parts.
For safety reasons, only trained specialist personnel may carry out repairs on the device. The warranty claim is void if repairs or interventions are carried out by persons not authorized by us, or if our devices are provided with replacement parts, additional parts or accessories that are not original parts and as a result a defect is caused.
Original replacement parts that are relevant for the function in accordance with the respective Ecodesign Regulation can be obtained from us for a period of at least 10 years from the time of placing the device on the market within the European Economic Area.obtain service.
Note
Calling in the service service is free of charge under the locally applicable
manufacturer’s warranty conditions. The minimum duration of the warranty
(manufacturer’s warranty for private users) in the European Economic Area is 2
years (except in Denmark and Sweden where the duration is 1 year) in
accordance with the applicable local warranty conditions. The warranty terms
are without prejudice to any other rights or claims you may have under local
law.
