Product Usage Instructions

  1. Remove the Drain Grate and Clamping Collar from the package and set them aside for later installation.

  3. Adjust the height of the Drain Body using the Adjustable Height Legs. Position the unit so that the top of the Drain Body Flange will be level with the to-be-poured or other flooring structure. The Adjustable Height Legs can be flipped to allow for a maximum height of 4-7/8 inches or a minimum height of 2-7/8 inches.
  4. Make up the 2 IPS No-Hub Waste Connection using an appropriate Band Coupling to ensure a leak-free connection.
  5. Pour the concrete slab floor or complete the construction of the alternate flooring structure.
  6. Prepare the unfinished floor as required to receive the vinyl flooring. Ensure an even surface with the proper slope towards the Drain, following industry standards of practice.
  7. Lay the vinyl flooring in place. If desired, apply adhesive to a portion of the flooring on the sides of the Drain to help keep it in place. The maximum material thickness for the vinyl flooring should not exceed 0.078 inches (2 mm).
  8. Rough-cut the vinyl flooring to help locate the interior of the drain cavity. Do not cut the flooring to fit; leave adequate flooring to hang over the drain cavity.
  9. Complete the installation of the vinyl flooring by applying adhesive up to the outer edge of the Drain Body Flange.
  10. Locate the rough cut opening and carefully cut the vinyl over the Linear Drain to align with the inside edge of the interior Drain Body cavity using a vinyl knife.
  11. Install the Clamping Collar by positioning it over the DrainBody and vinyl flooring edge. Screw the Clamping Collar to the Drain Body using the provided Fasteners. Tighten the bolts from inside to out, alternating sides, and repeating the process until all bolts are tight. Do not over-tighten.
  12. Install the Drain Grate by positioning it into or inside the Clamping Collar. Screw the Grate to the Clamping Collar using the provided Screws.
  13. To prevent lifting of the vinyl, sandbag the Drain and vinyl.
