PRODUCT

Product Information

The Wi-Fi Landscape Power Unit (model TLA-60-12DW) is a low-voltage transformer designed to power landscape lighting fixtures. It has a maximum capacity of 60 watts and features Wi-Fi connectivity for remote control and automation via a smartphone app. The transformer has status and power indicators, as well as a power button for manual control. It supports 2.4GHz Wi-Fi networks and can be mounted on a wall.

Product Usage Instructions

  1. Calculate Lighting Capacity: Determine the total wattage of all the fixtures to be connected to the transformer. Ensure that the total wattage does not exceed the 60-watt capacity of the transformer.
  2. Installation Instructions: Before connecting to the Wi-Fi router, refer to the installation instructions provided. Install the Wi-Fi Low Voltage Transformer before proceeding with the Wi-Fi router connection.
  3. Status Indicator: The status indicator on the transformer has three states: the blinking light indicates readiness to connect to the Wi-Fi router, the continuously on light indicates a successful connection to the Wi-Fi router and light off indicates a possible internet connection issue or the need to review the app’s FAQ section.
  4. Power Button: The power button on the transformer allows manual override of the Wi-Fi control. Pressing this button turns the unit ON or OFF.
  5. Cable Preparation: Carefully split the landscape cable without exposing the copper wire. Remove 1/2 inch of insulation from both cable ends and twist the ends.
  6. Cable Connection: Lay the transformer on a flat and stable surface. Use a screwdriver to connect the stripped ends of the cable under the terminal clamping plate. Verify the strength of the connection by gently pulling on the landscape cable.
  7. Fixture Placement and Cable Routing: Position your fixtures in the desired locations, ensuring that they do not exceed the 60-watt rating of the transformer. After connecting the last fixture, coil the remaining cable.
  8. Fixture Attachment: Turn the transformer ON. Use cable connectors to attach your fixtures to the cable. The fixtures should light up once properly attached.
  9. Transformer Mounting: Use screws to mount the transformer directly on a wall. It is recommended to mount it between 12 to 48 inches (0.3m to 1.2m) high from the ground.
  10. Software Installation: Download and install the Dewenwils app from Google Play or the App Store. Each device can only be connected to one account. If others need control access, share your device via the app.
  11. Add Wi-Fi Low Voltage Transformer: Open the app and follow the instructions to add the Wi-Fi Low Voltage Transformer. Note that it only supports 2.4GHz networks.
  12. LED Status: The LED indicators on the transformer have different functions. A red LED on indicates power is on, while a red LED off indicates power is off. A rapidly blinking green LED indicates Bluetooth provisioning network status and a steady green LED indicates a successful internet connection.
  13. Connection Troubleshooting: If the automatic connection fails, try reconnecting or switching to a stronger Wi-Fi signal source. Keeping your phone closer to the device or following the manual connection mode may also help.

Please pay attention to the warning signs and the instructions with caution before operating and keep it properly

WARNING:
READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS before using the Wi-Fi Low Voltage Transformer. Compatible with 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi networks. If you have multiple routers in your home, especially under the same modem and using dynamic IP address mode, please notice the routers with the same LAN IP address may cause IP address conflict and make the routers involved cannot access the internet. This makes Wi-Fi Low Voltage Transformer cannot be discovered and controlled via the internet (like the user’s cellular data service). Important safety information to reduce the risk of fire injury.

  1. Do not install within 10 feet (3 m) of a pool, spa, or fountain.
  2. No serviceable parts inside the power supply unit. DO NOT DISASSEMBLE.
  3. Do not repair or tamper with a cord or plug.
  4. Do not submerge the transformer in water.
  5. Do not mount the transformer onto combustible material.
  6. Do not connect two or more transformers in parallel.
  7. Do not use the transformer with a dimmer switch.
  8. Plug the power supply unit directly into a GFCI outlet in a wet location.
  9. For low-voltage outdoor landscape lighting systems use only
  10. The maximum output of this transformer is 60 watts. Do not overload the transformer. Be sure that the total cumulative wattage of all 12-volt fixtures connected to the transformer is equal to or less than 60 watts.

CAUTION: This landscape light system must be installed in accordance with all local codes and ordinances. If you encounter problems, contact a qualified electrician.

CALCULATE LIGHTING CAPACITY

The 60 Watt transformer has 60-watt circuits which will power up to 60 watts of light. To make sure the maximum number of fixtures can be safely connected to this transformer, add up the individual wattage of all the fixtures. The total wattage of your fixtures must not exceed the output capacity of the 60 Watt transformer.

Installation Instructions
IMPORTANT : Please refer to the INSTALLATION instructions before proceeding with the Wi-Fi router connection. Wi-Fi Low Voltage Transformer must be installed before connecting to the Wi-Fi router.
