- Check liner for cracks and squareness. Wipe the inside of liner with a damp rag or paper towels taped to a stick or handle. This removes dust and adds some moisture which helps the Gorilla Glue or Elmer’s Glue-All Max to cure properly.
- Dry-fit each of the grains into the case and make sure they slide easily inside the case. If not, sand lightly until they do.
- Apply Gorilla Glue or Elmer’s Glue-All Max to the outside surface of the forward (uninhibited) grain and install in the nozzle end of liner with a twisting motion.
- Install the first grain spacer O-ring, placed against the end of the forward grain.
- Apply Gorilla Glue or Elmer’s Glue-All Max to the outer surface of the ‘A’ grains, one at a time. Install the first ‘A’ grain into the liner with a twisting motion, with the uninhibited end toward the forward grain.
- Apply 30-minute epoxy to the pre-inhibited ends of the ‘A’ grains, one at a time.
- Install the second ‘A’ grain into the liner with a twisting motion ,with the pre-inhibited end facing the pre-inhibited end of the first ‘A’ grain.
- Install the second grain spacer O-ring into the case after the second ‘A’ grain is installed.
- Repeat steps 5-8 exactly for the ‘B’ and ‘C’ grain sets, except that no grain spacer O-ring is installed after the second ‘C’ grain.
- Use the nozzle to push the second ‘C’ grain to the proper depth in the case.
- Clean the nozzle end of the liner and the nozzle flange with acetone to remove all traces of glue.
- Apply grease to the nozzle end of the liner and nozzle flange to prevent expanding glue from bonding the nozzle to the liner.
- Follow the included 98mm RMS instructions to complete motor assembly. Stand the finished motor on the nozzle end and allow to cure for 24 hours before use.
