The product is an indoor light fixture designed for use with a 60-watt max. medium base type A bulb (not included). The fixture includes a canopy, chain, quick link, pole assembly, column, shade, socket assembly, diffuser, (2) metal washers, and finial. The mounting hardware package includes a screw collar loop, screw collar nut, nut, nipple, (2) 1-4 x 1-1/4 screw, crossbar, green ground screw, and (3) wire connectors. The fixture must be mounted to a UL- listed outlet box capable of supporting the weight of the fixture.

Product Usage Instructions

  1. Read and save the instructions. Failure to read and follow all instructions could result in fire or serious bodily injury or death.
  2. Before beginning installation, turn off the electricity serving the fixture to avoid shock, fire, or serious bodily injury or death.
  3. Unpack the fixture and ensure all parts are present.
  4. Use the following tools or equipment for assembly: ladder, screwdriver, adjustable wrench, wire cutters, and pliers.
  5. Because the fixture is connected to live electrical wires, it is strongly recommended that a qualified electrician is used for assembly.
  6. Spread a link of the chain using pliers and a screwdriver, being careful to protect the finish of the chain.
  7. All wiring must be done in accordance with national and local electrical codes.
  8. Install the fixture onto a UL-listed outlet box capable of supporting the weight of the fixture.
  9. Install at 60-watt max. Medium base type A bulb (not included) into each socket.
  10. Slide the small metal washer, diffuser, and large metal washer over the nipple of the stem and secure it with the finial.
  11. Restore power after installation is fully complete.

It is important to note that outdoor use of this product could result in shock, fire, or serious bodily injury or death. If the external flexible cable or cord of this luminaire is damaged, it shall be exclusively replaced by the manufacturer or his service agent or a similar qualified person in order to avoid a hazard.

ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTION

WARNING
To avoid in shock, fire or serious bodily injury or death it is very important that the electricity servicing the fixture is turned off before and during installaon. CAREFULLY READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS PRIOR TO ASSEMBLY. Because this fixture is connected to live electrical wires, it is strongly recommended that you use a qualified electrician.

THIS FIXTURE SHOULD TAKE APPROXIMATELY 10 MINUTES TO ASSEMBLE. MAKE SURE ALL PARTS ARE FIRMLY TIGHTENED.

TOOLS: You will need the following tools or equipment: ladder, screwdriver, adjustable wrench, wire cu ers, and pliers.

UNPACK THE FIXTURE: You should have received the following parts in the package: canopy, chain, quick link, pole assembly, column, shade, socket assembly, diffuser, (2) metal washers, and finial. To protect the finish, place all parts on a so surface.

MOUNTING HARDWARE PACKAGE: Screw collar loop, screw collar nut, nut, nipple, (2) 1-4 x 1-1/4″ screw, crossbar, green ground screw, and (3) wire connectors.

FIXTURE ASSEMBLY

  1. Place the shade, column over the nipple on top of the socket assembly and rotate the pole assembly to secure.
  2. Determine the length of chain required to hang the fixture at the desired height, and remove or add chain as desired. using pliers, open one end link of the chain and an ach to screw the collar loop, an ach the quick link to the end link of the chain and ach the quick link to the chain loop, and then secure it with a small nut. thread fixture wire and ground wire UP through every other link of the chain.

TO SPREAD A LINK OF CHAIN
Use a pair of pliers and a screwdriver as shown above, being careful to warp the jaws of the pliers with a cloth to protect the finish of the chain. If the external flexible cable or cord of this luminaire is damaged, it shall be exclusively replaced by the manufacturer or his service agent or a similar qualified person in order to avoid a hazard.

THIS FIXTURE MUST BE MOUNTED TO A UL-LISTED OUTLET BOX CAPABLE OF SUPPORTING THE FIXTURE. FAILURE TO FOLLOW THIS REQUIREMENT COULD RESULT IN THE FIXTURE FALLING CAUSING SERIOUS BODILY INJURY OR DEATH.

To avoid shock, fire, or serious bodily injury or death it is very important that the electricity servicing the fixture is turned off before and during install

  1. Each crossbar to the ceiling outlet box uses the two screws provided with the outlet box. (Note: If the screws with the outlet box are too short, use the (2) 1-4 x 1-1/4″ screws provided in the moun ng hardware package). Next, screw the screw collar loop onto the nipple and then screw the nipple into the crossbar.
  2. Slide the screw collar nut and then the canopy onto the end of the chain. Then fasten the end link of the chain to the screw collar loop.
  3. Insert the fixture wire and the ground wire up through the nipple. Connect the white or ribbed fixture wire to the white supply wire in the outlet box using the TWIST-ON wire connectors provided. Connect the black or smooth fixture wire to the black supply wire in the same manner. Install the fixture ground wire under the green group screw on the crossbar then connect the fixture ground wire to the supply ground wire in the outlet box using the TWIST-ON sire connector provided.
  4. Tuck the wires carefully inside the outlet box. Spread the electrical splices so that the black wires are on one side of the outlet box and the white wires are on the other side. Next, raise the canopy to the ceiling and secure in place by screwing the screw collar nut onto the screw collar loop.ASHLEY-L000988-Cordunn-Pendant-Light-FIG-4

FINAL ASSEMBLY

  1. Install a 60-a max. Medium base type “A” bulb (not included) into each socket.
    WARNING Installation of a bulb exceeding 60 wa s maximum could result in fire, serious bodily injury, or death.

  2. Slide a small metal washer, diffuser, and large metal washer over the nipple of the stem and secure with the finial.

  3. Restore power after installaon is fully complete. Your fixture is ready for use.
