Usage Instructions
When using the Plancha Grill Plate on an induction cooker, it is important to ensure that the size of the induction zone is approximately similar to the diameter of the plate in order to the reaction with the pan. If the diameter is too small, the hob (magnetic field) may not react to the base of the pan. When cleaning the Plancha Grill Plate, use warm soapy water and a sponge or dishcloth. Do not use abrasive metal or nylon pads or any detergent containing citric acid or chlorine bleach. Rinse in hot water and dry immediately with a soft cloth. The Plancha Grill Plate is suitable for cooking protein-rich foods as it retains and distributes heat more effectively. It is also recommended to use low heat settings to save energy and prevent overheating. Refer to your local waste management guidelines for proper disposal of packaging materials.
BEFORE FIRST USE
-
Read the instructions carefully
-
Remove all packaging material and labels.
-
Wash in warm, soapy water with a soft sponge.
Rinse thoroughly and dry completely with a soft cloth. The bottom of this product is curved in a cold state. It becomes flat when heated up.
Do not use Power or Boost functions to heat up the cookware. -
Before heating your new cookware for the first time, apply a little vegetable oil (preferably peanut oil) to the inside of the pan with a paper towel. You might consider doing this each time you put away the cookware, to extend the life.
DAILY USE
- Suitable on all hobs (gas, ceramic, halogen and induction).
- Always start with a clean pan.
- Take the food from the refrigerator at least 10 minutes before cooking.
- If you use oil for taste or texture, allow the oil to warm for a minute or two over low to medium heat before adding food to the pan.
- Never allow a pan to boil dry. Never let your empty pan heat up too long.
- Use protective material to protect the surface when you place hot cookware on a table or countertop.
INSTRUCTION FOR INDUCTION HOB
- The diameter of the base of the pan and the size of induction zone must be approximately similar in order to optimize the reaction with the pan. Where the diameter is too small, the hob (magnetic field) may not react to the base of the pan
CARE AND CLEANING
- Let cool down your pan before cleaning.
- Dishwasher cleaning is not recommended
- Always clean your cook ware thoroughly, any remaining food residue will cook into the surface causing food to stick.
- If you have remains of food stuck to the cookware, they can be easily be removed by covering the bottom of the pan with water and letting it soak off while gently heating it at low temperature (no need to let the water boil).
HELPFUL HINTS AND TIPS
- Cook on a hob burner that is approximately similar in base diameter to that of the pan, or use on induction.
- When cooking on gas, adjust the flame so it does not flare up the sides of the pan.
- Heat settings are very important. Lower heat settings are not only good for energy-saving but also avoids the pan becoming too hot. The nature of this cookware is to hold and distribute the heat more effectively, helping some protein rich foods cook more quickly.
