Safety Precautions
Before setting up and using your Power Grip Charger, basic safety precautions should always be followed including:
- READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE USING YOUR CHARGER.
- This product is not a toy, do not allow children to play with it. Adult supervision is advised.
- This product should not be exposed to extreme heat or fire. Do not store in a location with temperatures above 104°F.
- Do not expose this product to any water, liquids, or excessive humidity.
- Do not crush, throw or subject this product to extreme physical force.
- Do not use this product if it appears to be cracked or damaged.
- Do not use in wet or humid environments. Do not place on wet surfaces.
- Please recycle or dispose of the product properly based on the laws and rules of your municipality. Contact local recycling facilities and/or the manufacturer of the product for further information.
- To prevent damage to the product, always place it on a flat, even surface.
- In order to avoid the risk of electric shock, never attempt to open your charger or repair it without the assistance of certified professionals.
CAUTION BATTERY WARNING:
-The device is equipped with an integrated lithium ion battery. The battery cannot be replaced. Do not attempt to remove the battery from the device.
-Do not dispose of in fire or expose to excessive heat.
-Do not crush, puncture, incinerate, or short circuit external contacts.
-Please recycle or dispose of the battery properly. Contact your local recycling facilities and/or the manufacturer for further information.
Introduction
Thank you for purchasing the Vivitar Power Grip Charger, item VIRL5000KIT. Use the included supplies to assemble an all-in-one tripod, phone mount, phone charger and more. Please read this manual carefully before using.

Charging
Connect the USB-C cable end (rounded connector) into the power gripʼs USB-C charging port. Connect the other USB cable end (rectangular connector) to a standard USB port or wall adapter. Charging indicator lights will illuminate to show the charging status. Unplug once charging is complete.
Tripod Stand and Phone Mounting
The tripod stand and smartphone mount are included with your power grip.
To assemble the tripod stand and smartphone mount, screw on the tripod stand
to the bottom of the power grip, then attach the smartphone mount to the top
of the power grip. Note: Attach your phone to the smartphone mount before
assembly.
Bluetooth Connection
Wirelessly connect your power grip to your smartphone to capture photos and videos using the capture button on your power grip. Press and hold the capture button to activate Bluetooth. Open the Bluetooth settings menu on your smartphone to turn on Bluetooth, then connect the device listed as “IRL 5000”. Press and hold the Capture button again to turn off Bluetooth.
Phone Charging
You can charge your phone while it is attached to the smartphone mount. Use
one of the included charging cables to connect your phone to the power gripʼs
USB-A port.
Notes: -Use your smartphoneʼs original charging cable if the charging
cables included with the power grip are not compatible. -The USB-A port can be
used as a miscellaneous power port.
Ball Head Installation
For 360° swivel motion, attach the ball head mount. Screw on the ball head mount (2) to the top of the power grip (1). Then, attach the smartphone mount (3) to the top of the ball head mount. Loosen the side screw when adjusting the ball head mount and tighten to keep stable.
External Attachments
There are three threaded accessory mounts at the back of your power grip. If a male adapter is needed, use the included adapter to attach external devices such as lights, microphones, etc. Below is an illustrated example of how a video light attaches to the power grip. On the top of the phone mounting accessory is a cold shoe where you can mount a ring lights, flashes or accessories with similar mounting attachments.

— Connect the equipment into an outlet on a circuit different from that to
which the receiver is connected.

Vivitar One Year Warranty
This warranty covers the original consumer purchaser only and is not
transferable.
This warranty covers products that fail to function properly UNDER NORMAL
USAGE, due to defects in material or workmanship. Your product will be
repaired or replaced at no charge for parts or labor for a period of one year.
What Is Not Covered by Warranty
Damages or malfunctions not resulting from defects in material or workmanship
and damages or malfunctions from other than normal use, including but limited
to, repair by unauthorized parties, tampering, modification or accident.

To receive warranty service along with the name and address of an authorized
product service center, the original consumer purchaser must contact us for
problem determination and service procedures. Proof of purchase in the form of
a bill of sale or receipted invoice, evidencing that the product is within the
applicable warranty period(s), MUST be presented in order to obtain the
requested service. It is your responsibility to properly package and send any
defective products along with a dated copy of proof of purchase, a written
explanation of the problem, and a valid return address to the authorized
service center at your expense. Do not include any other items or accessories
with the defective product. Any products received by the authorized service
center that are not covered by warranty will be returned unrepaired.
