- Do not use harsh or abrasive cleaning agents or steel wool-type materials to clean the components. They can damage the surface of the appliance!
- Protect the device from water droplets and spray.
- Use only a clean, dry cloth to clean the device and never use any corrosive liquids.
- Use a slightly damp cloth and a mild cleaning agent to remove any stubborn dirt.
- Allow the appliance to dry thoroughly after wiping.
- Make sure no moisture gets in while cleaning to avoid damage to the product and related repairs.
Cleaning the mineral deposit
A common problem that can occur with a steamer is mineral deposit caused by
too many water supplies. Mineral residue inside the inner tubes and heater can
cause intermittent vaporization or, in some cases, no vaporization at all.
Note: To reduce or eliminate the occurrence of mineral deposits, we
recommend using distilled water in the unit. Regular tap water can also be
used.
The following recommendations can be used to reduce mineral deposits. If
demineralized or distilled water is not used, we recommend following this
procedure monthly.
- Make sure the unit is unplugged and has completely cooled down.
- Mix a solution of 50% vinegar and 50% water. 60 mL of this solution will be enough.
- Remove the water inlet cap and slowly pour the mixed solution into the water tank. Replace the cap.
- Allow it to stand for 40 minutes.
- Clean the outer cover using a wet cloth.
- Pour clean water into the tank and pour it out. Repeat this step until the vinegar odor is gone.
- Reassemble the unit and operate it as usual.
Storage
- Allow the unit to cool completely before storing it.
- Before storing or packing your garment steamer, empty the water tank. Water can clog internal parts and ruin the appliance.
- When no longer using the appliance, store it in a dry environment, protected from dust and direct sunlight.
- Fold the cord and store the unit in an upright position in a clean, dry place.
- Make sure the water tank is empty. If not, remove it and turn it upside down to ensure that all water is drained.
INSTRUCTIONS
How to use
First use
- Remove the packaging.
- Fill the water tank to its maximum capacity.
- Iron a piece of waste cloth twice according to the operating instructions. Little droplets may appear, which is normal.
Operating instructions
- Make sure the appliance is unplugged and switched off.
- Remove the water tank from the main unit, and open the water inlet cover.
- Fill the water tank with an appropriate amount of cold water and then close the water inlet cover. Please check if the tank has been correctly fitted.
- Plug in the device and push the power switch. The indicator light will flash blue, and the unit will start warming up. Once the indicator light is steady, you can start using the appliance.
- Thicker clothes or more stubborn wrinkles require more ironing.
Important notes
- Using distilled or demineralized will reduce the need to clean your steamer and will prolong its lifespan. However, ordinary tap water may be used as well. Use only water into the water tank.
- Additives such as cleaning agents, detergents, salt, perfume and dyes should never be added to the water tank.
- Some of these substances are highly flammable which could result in bodily harm or death and some additives may corrode or clog internal parts.
- After use, clean any residual water and stains on the steam nozzle with a piece of cloth, so as to keep the appliance tidy and extend its lifespan.
For best results
- Some items are best steamed when turned inside out.
- Pants may be steamed while being held by the cuffs.
- While steaming, touch the fabric lightly with the steam nozzle or using the brush attachment and move it up and down to better remove wrinkles. Touching the garment and/or fabric is important.
- The Handheld steamer will not remove stains from garments.
- Never steam clothes while wearing them.
- The Handheld steamer works on most fabris, including silk, denim, cotton, polyester and wool.
- Please refer to the label on the clothing to check if your garment can be steamed. In general, some fabrics, such as, leather, suede and velvet may not be suitable for steaming.
- To ensure your garment is suitable for steaming, steam a small part on the inside as a test, before steaming the whole garment.
