Injury to Persons Hazard
If using the unit in a containment work area, turn off all sources of power to open combustion appliances such as fireplaces, boilers, furnaces, water heaters, and HVAC systems to avoid the risk of back drafting deadly carbon monoxide fumes from those appliances. Do not sit or ride on the unit. Do not set any liquids on the top of the unit or store items on top the unit.
Tipping Hazard
It is not recommended to stack units on top of eachother. When stacking units for storage or transportation in the original packaging, beware of tipping. Falling equipment could cause bodily harm.
Contamination Hazard
If the unit is used in hazardous or potentially hazardous environments such as
mold mitigation job sites:
Wear NIOSH-approved protective gear when changing the HEPA filter as it may
contain mold spores and contaminates.
Change the KleanseAIR Pre-Filter and HEPA filter after every remediation job.
Dispose of used HEPA according to your local regulations
**** Always disconnect power to the equipment and unplug before performing any service or maintenance.
**** Do not operate without proper electrical ground.
On equipment with blowers keep inlet and outlet vents, clean and clear of objects.
Germicidal ultraviolet rays may break down plastic, rubber, or other non
metallic materials, can fade colors, and can be damaging to plant life. Shield
all plastic, rubber, or other nonmetallic parts, plant life, etc. which may be
exposed to direct or reflected germicidal ultraviolet rays.
Do not operate equipment if the power cord and/or plug are damaged, or if any
other damage to the unit is visible or suspected. Do not exceed equipment’s
maximum rated flow capacity and/or operating pressure.
HOW IT WORKS
The KleanseAIR™ TRIO is your solution to improving your personal indoor air quality by removing particulates, microorganisms, and allergens, all at once through a 3-stage process. Stage l consists of a prefilter that is used to maximize the life of the primary HEPA filter. Stage 2 uses a HEPA filter to capture harmful dust, allergens, pet dander, microorganisms, and other particulates larger than .3 microns. Stage 3 uses UVC lights that shine on the HEPA filter to destroy the collected microorganisms effectively (e.g., bacteria, viruses, mold spores) that are captured in Stage 2 at the high efficiency of kill.
The KleanseAIR™ utilizes multistage treatment and filtration enhanced to remove airborne particles such as dust and miscellaneous debris, and destroying microorganisms caught in the filter. The small size of the KleanseAIR™ allows it to be portable and easily maneuverable.
Stage 1: 14” x 14” x 1” MERV 8 Pre-Filter
This filter is used to clean the air of larger particles to keep the primary
HEPA filter clean.
These are standard filters that can be purchased on-line or a local hardware
store.
Stage 2: HEPA or ULPA Micron Media Filter
This 4″ deep filter removes particles at 0.3 or 0.1 microns and larger such as
atmospheric dust, mites, pollen, mold, spores, fungi, bacteria, viruses, pet
dander, smoke, and more. The ULPA media filter traps smaller particles than a
typical HEPA filter (0.3 microns). We recommend changing this filter 12-24
months or as needed.
This filter is custom made by GallatinAIR, and you will need to contact us for
replacements.
Stage 3 – Optional Needlepoint Bi-Polarization Unit
This latest technology creates millions of positive and negative ions deployed
in government buildings, educational institutions, and medical offices. Also,
ion bonding to particles increases their size to be more easily captured by
the unit’s extra deep HEPA filter. This unit has a 7-10 year life expectancy.
Stage 4 – Germicidal UVC Lamps
Two 253.7 nm wavelength lamps are enclosed in a chamber to reflect UVC to kill
bacteria, viruses, mold, fungi, and allergens. These lights have a life
expectancy of 9,000 hours and can be purchased by contacting GallatinAIR
directly.
RECOMMEND SETUP
Set up the air system in an area where it will provide good air circulation but won’t get in the way.
To help circulate air, you may want to set up one or more fans somewhat distant from the KleanseAIR™ unit(s). Have the fan(s) blow the air towards the air unit(s). This will help exchange the air so that it quickly gets processed through the system.
Leaving a system running 24/7 will help clear the air faster.
Since the unit is relatively quiet, it can be run on medium or high setting without disturbing normal activities.
Do not place the air unit directly against a wall, as you want to ensure airflow.
Please do not use it with an ozone-producing machine.
CONTROL PANEL
GREEN HEPA Air Filter Indicator Light: This indicator will light up green when you turn the fan on.
GREEN UVC#1 and #2 Indicator Lights and UVC light ON/OFF Switch: When the on/off switch is turned on, the UVC #1 and #2 indicator lights will turn on. If either light goes out, this indicates that a UVC light bulb has burned out and needs to be replaced. When this happens, contact GallatinAIR for a replacement.
SETTING FAN SPEED
Airflow from the KleanseAIR™ is controlled with a variable speed controller. This allows you to set the airflow at any speed you desire. The following provides you an estimated airflow at each position.
| Off Position
In this position, the power to the fan is turned off.
---|---
| High Position
This is the maximum fan speed.
| Medium Position
This is the medium fan speed.
| Low Position
This is the medium fan speed
UVC OZONE SAFETY
To create ozone from UV, the light wavelength would need to be in the range from 160-240 nm.
Since the KleanseAIR uses UVC with a wavelength of 254 nm, it is outside the ozone-producing range.
The UVC lights in your unit are low-pressure lamps, more like a fluorescent lamp, with a specific wavelength of 253.7 nm (7782.5 THz).
You can run the system without the lights being on, but you will not get the benefits of the UVC lights.

REPLACING FILTERS AND BULBS
- MAIN HEPA FILTER: These filters are designed explicitly for GallatinAIR KleanseAIR units to maximize the effectiveness of the air filtration process. We advise replacing the filter every 12-24 months depending on the air you are filtering.
- PRE-FILTER (14″ x 14″ x 1″): We recommend purchasing a MERV 8 filter from an on-line provider such as Amazon as they are relatively inexpensive. You can also buy these filters at most local hardware stores.
- UVC LIGHTS: The G23 9v UVC lights we initially provided are of the best quality and made by Philips Lighting. They are rated to last 9,000 hours (one year). We recommend using the same brand, make, and model of UVC light.
When you need a new filter(s), please contact your authorized reseller.
AUTO REFILL PROGRAM: For those who are busy and don’t want to worry about ordering new filters on time, GallatinAIR offers an automatic refill program. The yearly refill contains one (1) HEPA FILTER, (2) PRE-FILTERS, and (2) UVC LIGHTS. The annual plan costs $180 per unit. If you would like to sign up for yearly, please contact us at 833-250-2400.
