How Do I Use and Refill?

Step 1:

• The gas valve should be turned down while holding the lighter upside down.

Step 2:

• Insert the canister tip into any butane gas brand (Ronson, Blue Flame, etc.) that has the long universal filling tip. Don’t use a short filling tip, please.
• Replenish for 10–15 seconds, then wait for 5–10 minutes.

Step 3:

• To start a flame, use the ignition button. To get a constant flame, you can lock the tiny button.
• Please try to avoid lighting the lighter for an extended period of time (more than 15 seconds) since this will shorten its useful life.

What is the proper way to refill a butane lighter?****

Holding your lighter upside down while holding it firmly (this helps avoiding air entering the fuel tank when you go to fill). Shake your butane refill container and place the can’s stem firmly on the refill valve (while in a straight up-and-down position). Hold for approximately 5 seconds, then let go.

Why do refillable butane lighters stop working?****

A minor amount of air is introduced into a butane lighter’s tank with each refill. The tank becomes overrun with an air pocket or bubble after 3 or 4 refills. The presence of this air keeps fuel from filling the tank.

How long should torch sit after refilling?****
