I’ve just started using mine. I must have overlooked the instruction to lay the gravity drain hose flat. I chose this one in particular because it stated that the inflow hose and drainage hose were both on top.
There are several gaps in the instructions. Why is there a water intake valve on the washer side and a water intake valve on the spin side?****
There are no instructions included with this washer. I think I’ve been washing improperly for the past 12 months. I had no idea that the spin side needed water. I just continued to wash the garments using more than one cycle, including one with laundry soap, one with fabric softener, and one for rinsing. The spin cycle follows, my goodness. More guidance is required.

Because you shouldn’t really run your wash and spin cycles at the same time, mine does this as well. Everything goes smoothly as long as I take each step individually. If that happens, I drain all the water, add fresh water, and it immediately restarts!

You can wash it after filling it with water. Because I don’t use the hose, that is what I do. I use a bucket to fill it.
