Instruction
Preparation: Measure and mark with a chalk line
Remove old gutters and inspect fascia bard and metal dredge repair or replace
the fascia/drip edge f needed. Tack a string to thee fascia board 4 or 5
inches below the roofline so that it i5 straight, level and taut. Drop one end
of the string 1/4 inch per 10 ft, sloping toward downspout.
Assemble Gutter Sections
Begin assembling your gutter system on the ground star ting at end furthest
from the dawn spout. Adhere an end cap to the first piece then Jain gutter
sections using slip connectors secured with screws or pargets. Waterproof aloe
ins with sealant, and secure with screws or pop vets.
Hang Gutters onto the Fascia
Locate and mark the end of each rafter on the fascia board (Typically 24
inches). Use one of the following methods to hang your gutter Be sure that the
drip edge hangs in to the gutter and not behind it
Attach Miters, Drop Outlets and Downspouts
Attach miters to fascia board at the corners. Connect miters to gutter with
slip connect ors. Secure with screws or pop rivets. Apply sealant to the
inside seams to protect against leaks Connect elbows (a) and dawn spout (b}
with the camped ends painting down. Secure the joints with screws c). Attach
the downspout to the out let then attach an elbow at the bottom to direct
rainwater away from the foundation. Fasten downspout snugly to the wall with
downspout bands. Use 2 downspout bands for each 8-10 foot section of downspout
