Installation Instructions:
Tracktility Hydraulic Damper Kit for Fanatec CSL Elite V2 XL Rev 1.XX
WARNING: Always remove the Tracktility unit before adjusting pedal horizontal spacing, as front threaded bar will bind with toe of foot for secure fit.
Note: There are a number of configurations that the Tracktility Damper Kit for Fanatec CSL Elite V2 will accommodate. Please make note where called out (in bold) the options available at each step.
Step 1. Required Tools: The tools required for installation are those provided with your Fanatec CSL Elite V2 pedals:
– 4mm hex-head wrench (allen key) – 13mm spanner – Small Phillips Head Screwdriver
Note: – Remove the cap from at least one side of your pedals. – The threaded bar has an internal hex-key at one end to assist in removal of the nuts.
Step 2 Option 1 Single Brake Damper Only Setup
The Fanatec CSL Elite V2 pedals come with a threaded bar that partially spans the rear of the three pedals. The Tracktility Damper Kit has been designed to utilise this threaded bar for single damper setups to the brake pedal.
For multi-damper setups, please see “Step 2 – Option 2” below to remove the threaded bar entirely and use the included bolt kit, which can be hand tightened.
Remove only the rear threaded bar from pedals. This can sometimes be tight to remove/replace.
Take your time.
The front threaded bar should remain in place for all steps. It is used to engage the Tracktility Damper Kit and cannot be removed with the kit in place.
Step 2 Option 2 Multi-Damper Setup
For multi-damper setups, please remove both of the threaded bars entirely and use the included bolt kit, which can be hand tightened.
Remove both threaded bars from the pedals. These can be tight to remove/replace.
Take your time.
Insert the front bolt in place of the front threaded bar only. Utilise the provided spring washer and nut and loosely tighten (finger tight is fine). There is no need to fully compress the washer, as the spring will retain the nut position.
Note: If you are using this kit for the throttle/clutch pedal, please use the provided spacers to ensure a snug fit.

Step 3. Slide the Tracktility unit into the recess under the front threaded bar/bolt. This will be a tight fit as the toe of the unit engages with the front threaded bar.
The heel of the unit should be flush with the back of the pedal set and the rear holes aligned with the threaded bar.

Step 4. Rear bar/bolt replacement:
Replace rear threaded bar, washer and nuts or bolt, spring washer, and cap.
The rear bar/bolt can be a tight fit on first installation. Ensure the threaded bar holes are aligned with the holes on the Tracktility unit.
Note: If using the included bolt kit, place spring washer and nut on threaded end and loosely tighten (finger tight is fine). There is no need to fully compress the washer, as the spring will retain the nut position.
Step 5. Install pedal clamp.
Clamp will fit securely around bottom flange of the pedal foot-pad. Once aligned, insert 4x Philips head screws/nuts, attaching the damper.
Tighten until clamp halves touch and fit is secure. This does not need to be over tightened, especially the bottom screw, which can be removed to access the brake pedal spring block.
Note: The flanges on the brake pedal are slightly wider than the throttle and clutch. The fit will be tight, but secure!
Step 6. Install the hydraulic damper.
a. Ensure the damper is set to between 0 to 1. b. Lower the damper into place. c. Loosen locking nuts and place head into lower
screw of pedal cup.
Note: To remove damper, ensure unit is set between 0 to 1 and compress by hand and remove damper. Do not attempt to remove damper in higher setting.
WARNING: To avoid discomfort and risk of pinching skin, ensure damper is set to between 0 to 1 before compressing and fitting to cup.
Step 7. Adjust the retention nuts by applying light pressure to the rear of the damper. Ensuring that the pedal is fully retracted.
Tighten down retention nut to collar (don’t continue screwing as it will compress the damper unnecessarily, reducing travel). Tighten second retention nut (whilst holding lower nut stationary) to secure in place.

Option 1 (threaded bar)

Option 2 (replacement bolts)

Step 8. (Throttle/Clutch Only) Check full travel clearance. When installed, check that damper has clearance at full depression of the brake pedal. If no clearance. Loosen retention nuts on damper and adjust position until clearance achieved.
9. Screw in place the rear support sleeve. This should just be finger tight against the base of the collar. This will secure the retention nuts and also remove retraction hop on quick release of the pedal.

10. Adjust Fanatec brake settings.
Although the Tracktility unit is isolated from the loadcell, it is recommended to re-calibrate your brake pedal sensitivity after re-fitting or changing springs/elastomers.
Note: The Fanatec Tracktility unit allows for 30mm of damper travel (approx. 45mm of brake pedal travel).
If preferred, using a light-sprung setup (i.e. high travel low resistance) you will encounter a firm stop at the end of this travel. If so, you will need to re-calibrate your brake pedal sensitivity to account for the new load at full travel. 11. If you can spare the time, please complete our survey.
