NuCoat DARK TRANSFER Inkjet Transfer Paper

Product Usage Instructions
Items You Will Need:
- Prewashed Cotton or Cotton/Polyester blend fabric
- Heat Press or Iron (do not use steam)
- Pillowcase
- Parchment paper
- Hard smooth surface: Do NOT use an ironing board
- Scissors
Printing Your Image:
- Using your computer, select or design images to be transferred. Do NOT mirror or flip the image before printing.
- Preheat your iron to the Cotton setting for 50%-100% cotton blends or the Polyester/Rayon setting for fabrics less than 50% cotton.
- Lay a pillowcase on the ironing surface.
- Pre-iron the fabric to release moisture and remove wrinkles.
- Peel liner from back of printed transfer.
Washing Instructions:
- Turn the garment inside out before washing.
- Wash and dry separately from other clothes.
- Wash in COLD water at delicate setting using mild detergent.
- Avoid bleach or bleach alternative detergents.
- Dry on LOW temperature. Turn garment inside out before ironing and avoid ironing onto the transfer area.
Tips:
- Excessive stretching may damage the transfers.
- Protect transferred images from direct exposure to heat when transferring several images to the same piece of fabric.
- If image does not adhere at first, re-iron then peel the parchment cold.

PRINTING YOUR IMAGE
- Using your computer, select or design images to be transferred. Do NOT mirror or flip the image before printing.
- Load transfer sheets into your printer so that the image is printed on the non-glossy (unlined) side.
Print image/design on paper using the following recommended print settings:

Trim image/design from transfer sheet to remove excess area. Round all sharp edges for better transfer performance and adhesion
TRANSFERRING THE IMAGE: HEAT PRESS
- Preheat the press to 350º F for 50%-100% cotton blends or 275º F for fabrics less than 50% cotton.
- Press the fabric for 3-5 seconds to release moisture and remove wrinkles.
- Peel the liner from the back of the printed transfer.
- Place printed transfer onto the fabric with the printed side up and cover completely with parchment paper.
- Set to 40-60 PSI or use firm pressure for best results.
- Press for 25 seconds.
- Peel COLD. Allow the transfer to cool completely, then remove parchment paper from your transfer using a smooth, even motion.
TRANSFERRING THE IMAGE IRON
- Preheat your iron to the “Cotton” setting for 50%-100% cotton blends or the “Polyester/Rayon setting for fabrics less than 50% cotton. Lay a pillowcase on the ironing surface.
- Pre-iron the fabric to release moisture and remove wrinkles.
- Peel liner from back of the printed transfer.
- Place printed transfer onto the fabric with the print side up and cover completely with parchment paper.

Using FIRM, STEADY pressure, glide the iron in a circular motion over the entire transfer for the suggested time duration. It is important to cover the transfer completely.
Recommended Ironing Time¼ sheet| 1 minute
½ sheet| 2 minutes
Full sheet| 3 minutes - After ironing each section of the transfer, glide the iron once more over the entire transfer to heat evenly.
- Allow transfer to cool down completely, and then remove parchment paper from your transfer using a smooth, even motion.
WASHING INSTRUCTION
- Turn the garment inside out.
- Wash and dry separately from other clothes.
- Wash in COLD water at delicate setting.
- Use a mild detergent for best results.
- Do not use bleach or bleach alternative detergents.
- Dry on LOW temperature. Turn garment inside out before ironing and avoid ironing onto the transfer area.
- Remove the garment promptly from the washer.
TIPS
- Excessive stretching other than normal wear and tear may damage the transfers.
- When transferring several images to the same piece of fabric, be sure to protect transferred images from direct exposure to heat.
- If image does not adhere to fabric at first, re-iron then peel parchment cold.
