Inspecting and Treating Stains
Inspecting, treating stains, and sorting linens is crucial for maintaining cleanliness and hygiene. Follow these steps:

  1. Wear disposable gloves and follow safety protocols.
  2. Collect all linens, including bed sheets, pillowcases, towels, etc.

Sorting and Treating Stains Before Laundering

  1. Separate whites, lights, and darks to prevent color bleeding.
  2. Pre-treat stains based on type and severity using the correct stain remover.
  3. Gently rub or agitate the stain remover into the fabric.
  4. Allow the stain remover to penetrate the fabric for recommended time.

Laundering

  1. Load the washer properly based on guidelines.

Gather the Linens

  1. Follow proper safety and hygiene protocols while handling soiled linens, such as wearing gloves and washing hands after the process.
  2. Collect all the linens, including bed sheets, pillowcases, towels, bathrobes, and any other fabric items that require inspection and treatment. Remove items (i.e. T.V. remote control, etc.) when removing linen.

Sort Linens and Treat Stains Before Laundering

Separate whites, lights, and darks to prevent color bleeding. Separate the linens according to their fabric type (i.e., towels, sheets, duvet, etc.) and care instructions.

Inspect Washed Linens & Apply Rewash Cycle When Needed

  1. Missed or persistent stains appearing on the wet linens should be set aside for a further stain pre-treatment and a rewash cycle.

Dry the Linens

After washing, dry the linens based on linen type instructions. Follow the recommended temperature settings and avoid over-drying to prevent wrinkles.

Fold Dry Linens and Allow Finished Linens to Rest

  1. Sort and fold the linens by type and size. Fold linens to prevent unnecessary wrinkles. Stack them neatly. Rotate the stored linens to allow newly laundered linens to rest.
