permobile OMNI 2 Infrared Specialty Control Interface

Activating IR Mode

  1. Power on wheelchair. Press “Settings” button (blue button in upper right corner) to enter Settings Menu
  2. Use navigation buttons on OMNI2 to scroll down to IR Setup option, press right navigation button to select
  3. Use navigation buttons to scroll to device you would like to control (e.g., TV, Cable, DVD)
  4. Press right navigation button to enter selected device for training of commands

Using IR with input device

  1. Enter “IR Mode” via the User Menu
  2. Forward/Reverse of input device selects desired device (if more than one programmed)
  3. Left/Right of input device enters desired device (e.g., TV, Cable/Satellite)
  4. Left/Right activates selected command

Training device commands to chair

  1. Select command to be learned (e.g., On/Off, Channel Up, Volume Up) by using navigation buttons to scroll up or down. Once desired command is highlighted, press right navigation button to select
  2. Press right navigation button to select “Learn Code”
  3. Point remote at OMNI2 IR Receiver and press command on remote twice to train command
  4. Green check mark will appear on screen to confirm the command has been successfully trained*
  5. Repeat steps above to train additional commands
  6. After all desired commands are trained, exit IR menu by selecting “Exit” from programming menu (scroll to “Exit” using navigation buttons, and select with right navigation button). You will be prompted to power chair on/off twice

NOTE: PC programming via IR Configuration tool can be used to set-up & customize IR Mode. IR Configuration tool may not be compatible with all OMNI2s.

  • There is variability in remote compatibility with Infrared, some remotes and/or specific remote commands operate via Bluetooth™.
