Battery Installation

Remote Control Battery Installation

  1. Use a Phillips-head or cross screwdriver to loosen the screw securing the battery cover to the back of the remote control.
  2. Insert 2 AA 1.5V batteries into the battery compartment according to the polarity diagram. Use new alkaline batteries only.
  3. Replace the battery cover and tighten the screw to secure.

Vehicle Battery Charging

  1. Plug the USB end of the charging station power cable into an AC power adapter or USB power source.
  2. Lift the charging port cover on the left side of the Porsche Taycan Turbo S.
  3. Detach the power connector from the charging station and plug it into the charging port on the vehicle.
  4. Wait for the vehicle to fully charge. The red status light will turn off when fully charged.
  5. Unplug the power connector and return it to the charging station. Close the charging port cover on the vehicle.

Start Up

  1. Power on the Porsche Taycan Turbo S by pressing the power button on the bottom of the vehicle.
  2. Power on the remote control by pressing the power button on the front.
  3. Wait for the status light on the remote control to remain solidly lit, indicating connection.

Battery Installation

Remote Control Battery Installation

  1. Use a Phillips-head or cross screwdriver to loosen the screw securing the battery cover to the back of the remote control.
  2. Insert 2 AA 1.5V batteries (not included) into the battery compartment according to the polarity diagram. Using new alkaline batteries only is recommended.
  3. Replace the battery cover and tighten the screw to secure.

Vehicle Battery Charging

  1. Plug the USB end of the charging station power cable into an AC power adapter (not included) or USB power source (Figure A.).
  2. Carefully lift the charging port cover on the left side of the Porsche Taycan Turbo S (Figure B.).
  3. To begin charging the vehicle, detach the power connector from the charging station and then plug the power connector into the charging port on the vehicle (Figure C.).
  4. Wait for the vehicle to fully charge. It can take up to 100 minutes to fully charge the vehicle’s built-in 3.7V 600mAh rechargeable lithium battery (non-replaceable). The red status light will turn off when the battery is fully charged.
  5. Unplug the power connector and put it back on the charging station. Close the charging port cover on the vehicle. Get ready to drive!

START UP

  1. Power on the Porsche Taycan Turbo S by pressing the power button on the bottom of the vehicle.
  2. Power on the remote control by pressing the power button on the front of the remote control.
  3. Wait for the status light on the remote control to quit blinking and remain solidly lit, indicating the vehicle and remote control have successfully paired. If pairing is not successful, power off both the vehicle and remote control and then repeat steps 1 – 3.
  4. Place the vehicle on a hard, flat surface with plenty of space to drive away from obstacles.
  5. To drive forward or reverse, press the forward/reverse buttons on the remote control.
  6. To steer left or right, either press the left/right buttons on the remote control or use gravity control by tilting the remote control left to turn left or right to turn right.

ALKALINE BATTERY WARNINGS

  • Do not mix old and new batteries.
  • Do not mix alkaline, standard (carbon-zinc), or rechargeable batteries.
  • Alkaline batteries are recommended. Use only the specified voltage.
  • Insert batteries using the correct polarity. Always use, replace, and recharge (if applicable) batteries under adult supervision.
  • Do not attempt to charge non-rechargeable batteries.
  • Do not short-circuit the battery supply terminals.
  • Do not dispose of batteries in fire: batteries may explode or leak.
  • Remove batteries before storing.
  • Recycle or dispose of batteries according to federal, state, and local laws.

RECHARGEABLE BATTERY WARNINGS

  • This product contains batteries that are non-replaceable.
  • There is a risk of fire and personal injury if battery is punctured, damaged, or misused.
  • Do not dismantle, crush, incinerate or short-circuit battery.
  • Never expose battery to extreme temperatures or moisture.
  • Keep away from flammable materials and direct sunlight.
  • Only charge using the provided charger, cable, and/or adapters.
  • Rechargeable battery is only to be charged by an adult.
  • Adult supervision is required while charging the battery.
  • Allow battery to cool to room temperature before charging.
  • Charge on a non-flammable surface and keep away from flammable products.
  • Discontinue charging if battery becomes hot, swells, smokes, or gives off a strong odor.
  • Battery chargers used with the product are to be regularly examined for damage to the cord, plug, enclosure, and other parts. In the event of such damage, chargers must not be used until the damage has been repaired.
  • Recycle or dispose of battery according to federal, state, and local laws.
  • Keep these instructions for future reference.
