Setting up your Monarch Power Lift Chair
- Your Monarch Power Lift Chair will arrive in two easy to assemble pieces, with additional washable fabric protectors for the arm and head rests.
- When you have removed both pieces from the box, place the main seat into position. Make sure you leave enough space in front and behind your chair to allow it to recline fully.
- Lift the backrest, and slide it onto the two metal guide rails. The back should click securely into place.
Powering your Monarch Powerlift Chair
To complete setup you will need 2 x 9v batteries – not supplied with purchase
-
Underneath the chair at the back (lift the fabric cover) you will find the chair cable and the power unit.
-
The cable from the chair to the power unit is neatly attached to the rear bar of the chair with
a cable tie. Release the chair cable so that you can comfortably connect it to the power unit. -
The power unit is in a cardboard box under the chair. The power unit is a large black plastic box with power cord and a standard 3 point plug on one end, and a small socket on the other for the chair cable. It contains the battery backup, and has a LED light to confirm that the power is connected.
* 2 x 9v batteries should be inserted into the power unit. This is to ensure that the chair is always operational if there is a power cut.
* **NOTE** : The chair will operate without batteries once plugged into power, but you should ensure the battery backup option is installed.
3. Connect the chair to the power unit by inserting the end of the chair cable into the small
socket on the end of the power unit.
4. Now plug the power unit by inserting power cord into the nearest power socket. The LED light on the power unit should light up.
- Your chair control is in the side pocket. Test your chair is now working correctly, and then tidy all cables so that they are safely out of the way.
