Product Usage Instructions
- Lay out all the materials provided in the Kitlab At-Home Test Kit: Collection cup, pipette & transport tube, and biohazard bag. Label the transport tube with today’s date, your name, and date of birth.
- Collect the first urine of the day. If not possible, refrain from urinating for at least 2 hours. Perform a mid-stream catch filling the collection cup halfway.
- Uncap the transport tube and use the pipette to transfer the urine sample.
- Squeeze the top bubble of the pipette to remove air.
- Release pressure on the top of the pipette to draw urine in. Transfer urine to the tube.
- Repeat until fluid reaches the mark between two black lines on the tube label. Seal the transport tube tightly.
- Place the sealed transport tube with the urine sample into a biohazard bag with an absorbent pad. Seal the biohazard bag and place it in the kit box.
- Close the kit, place it in the return mailer, seal it tightly, and affix any shipping labels. Ensure the package is securely sealed before sending it for analysis.
FAQ
- Q: Can I refrigerate the sample before shipping?
- A: It is not recommended to refrigerate the sample as it may affect test results. Send the sample within 24 hours of collection.
- Q: What if I have trouble transferring the sample to the transport tube?
- A: Make sure to follow the pipette instructions carefully. If needed, gently tap the pipette to release any trapped air bubbles.
- Q: How should I store the kit before using it?
- A: Store the kit in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and heat sources. Keep it out of reach of children and pets.

- Remember to read the instructions manual thoroughly before beginning the test. Following each step precisely ensures accurate results.
- Make sure to send out the collected sample within 24 hours after collection.
- Wash your hands thoroughly, before beginning the test.
Prepare for collection
- Lay out all the materials provided in the Kitlab At-Home Test Kit: Collection cup, pipette & transport tube, and a biohazard bag.
- Label the transport tube with today’s date, your name, and date of birth.
Collect your sample
- Collect the first urine of the day, if that isn’t possible don’t urinate for at least 2 hours before collecting your sample.
- Perform a mid-stream catch (begin urinating, then start collecting the specimen) filling the collection cup 1/2 full.
Transfer sample to transport tube
- Uncap the transport tube provided in the kit and use the pipette to transfer the urine sample from the collection cup to the tube.
- Squeeze the top bubble of the pipette to remove all the air.
- Place the pipette into the collected urine cup and release the pressure on the top of the pipette.
- This will draw urine into the pipette.
- Move the full pipette into the transport tube and squeeze the top to release the urine into the tube.
- Repeat step ii) as needed until the fluid reaches the mark between the two black lines on the tube label.
- Place the cap back onto the transport tube and twist it to seal the sample tightly.
Prepare for shipping
- Place the sealed transport tube containing the urine sample into the biohazard bag with the absorbent pad provided in the kit. Then, seal the biohazard bag and place it into the kit box.
Seal and send
- Close the kit and place it into the return mailer
- Seal it tightly and affix any necessary shipping labels.
- Ensure the package is securely sealed before sending it off for analysis.
