Safety and Warranty Information

WARNING To reduce the risk of personal injury, discomfort, or property damage, please read and follow the health and safety information below before using G1 (“the Product”).

Intended uses and users

  • For ages 13 and up. The Product is intended only for use by persons aged 13 or older. Do not allow anyone under 13 to use the Product. Children can choke or suffocate in case of swallowing of this Product. Keep this Product away from children.
  • Read instructions. Read and follow all instructions included with the Product before using it. Follow all instructions and alerts provided through the Even Realities App.

Vision and hearing

  • Vision conditions. If the Product has prescription lenses, it is intended only for use by the prescribed user. Use of a Product with prescription lenses by other users may provide inadequate vision correction or vision that is worse than normal.

Discomfort and other conditions

  • Discomfort. The Product is intended to be worn for extended periods. If you feel any discomfort (for example, headaches, nausea or other abnormalities.), take a break from using the electronic functionalities and the Even Realities App for several minutes. If discomfort persists, stop using the Product and consult a healthcare professional.
  • Interference with personal medical devices. The Product and its charging case contain magnetic materials and components that emit radio waves, which could affect the operation of medical devices such as pacemakers or other implantable devices, hearing aids, or insulin pumps. If you have an electronic medical device, consult your doctor or the medical device manufacturer before using the Product. Turn off the electronic functionalities of the Product if you notice any interference with your medical device.

Interactions and environments

  • Driving. Use caution when operating a motor vehicle while wearing the Product and keep your focus on driving. Only select electronic functionalities that you can safely use without taking your attention off driving. If necessary to maintain attention, turn off electronic functionalities of the Product.
  • Flying. Check applicable aviation security restrictions on personal electronics before flying with the Product. The Product contains lithium-ion batteries and should not be placed in checked-in luggage.
  • Use the Product in compliance with all the applicable local laws, rules and regulations. Use common sense and respect third parties’ rights, privacy and confidentiality.

Intended handling and maintenance

  • Handle with care and avoid damage. The Product is sensitive electronic equipment and should be handled with care.
  • Do not heat or bend the front frame or temples, including for fitting, as they may become damaged and even catch fire.
  • Take care when folding the temples (earpieces or arms) in or out. The Product contains sensitive electronic hardware and should be handled with reasonable care.
  • Do not drop, strike, or shake the Product excessively.
  • Do not use the Product if it is damaged.
  • Do not attempt to open, disassemble or tamper with the Product.

Operating and storage temperatures.

  • The recommended operating temperature range for the Product is typically between -10° and 40°C (14° to 104°F). Using the device outside of this temperature range can temporarily affect the battery life or the device’s behaviour. For storage, the product should be kept in places where the temperature is between -20° and 45°C (-4° to 113°F). It’s important to avoid exposing the product to ambient temperatures higher or lower than recommended, as it could permanently damage the battery.

Cleaning and maintenance.

  • To clean the Product use a dampened cloth and mild soap, avoiding all types of solvents or alcohol. Do not use dirty or abrasive cloths which could alter the features of the lenses.
  • WARNING Potentially explosive atmospheres.
    Do not store or carry flammable liquids, gases, or explosive materials in the same compartment as your product, its parts, and/or accessories. Turn off your product and do not remove or install battery chargers, AC adapters, or any other accessory for your product when you are in an area with potentially explosive atmospheres.

Water and liquids.

  • The Product is not designed to resist submersion or extended exposure to water or other liquids. In case of water exposure, dry the Product thoroughly and clear the charging areas of residue or other debris.
  • Keep the Product’s charging case away from liquids. It is not water resistant and exposure to liquids could damage the charging case or other components and lead to injury.
  • Do not use if broken or damaged.

Charging, electric and heat

  • Charging. Use only the provided charging accessories to charge the Product. Keep the charging port clear and clean of debris and residue. The appropriate charging temperature range is 0°C to 40°C (32°F to 104°F).
  • To clean the charging port, use the included microfiber cloth.
  • Do not wear or clean the Product while you are charging it.
  • Periodically inspect the Product, charging port and charging accessories for damage or signs of wear. Do not use if any part is damaged, cracked, or if any internal component is exposed. Do not try to repair the Product yourself. Instead contact support at www.evenrealities.com.
  • Overheating. The Product shouldn’t overheat or cause thermal discomfort during normal use. If it does, stop using it immediately and contact Support. Keep the Product away from fire and heat sources.
  • Battery. The Product contains a lithium-ion battery that is not user replaceable. Do not attempt to remove or replace the battery. The battery may present a fire or chemical burn hazard if misused. Do not disassemble, crush, puncture, or short circuit external contacts. Do not leave in a car under direct sunlight or expose to excessive heat or incinerate. Dispose of the battery in line with instructions and local requirements. If the battery fluid leaks, do not touch it. If the battery fluid touches your skin or eyes, rinse immediately with water and seek medical attention.
  • Accessories. Use only with original accessories and spare parts. The use with non-approved accessories may permanently damage the Product, void the Even Realities Limited Warranty and increase the risk of injury or damage to other property.
  • Software. Use only with the authorized Even Realities App. Update the app and the Product firmware when prompted. Do not attempt to modify the provided software. Software is provided as-is, and is subject to terms and conditions.

Limitations of functionality

  • Vocal assistant available only in English. Other languages may be available in the future. Visit www.evenrealities.com
  • Requires : a mobile phone with Android (location services enabled) or an iPhone with iOS operating system, wireless internet access, and an Even Realities account. Detailed system requirements, software terms of license and terms of service are available at www.evenrealities.com. Features, functionality and content are subject to change or withdrawal at any time, may be protected by digital rights management technology, may be unavailable or restricted in some areas, may depend on a wireless service plan or internet service provider and may require subscriptions or fees. Requires software updates to be installed from time to time, including prior to first use.

Conformity to International Regulations

FCC Compliance Statement
This device complies with part 15 of the FCC Rules. Operation is subject to the following two conditions:

  1. This device may not cause harmful interference, and

  2. This device must accept any interference received, including interference that may cause undesired operation. Any Changes or modifications not expressly approved by the party responsible for compliance could void the user’s authority to operate the equipment.
    Note : This equipment has been tested and found to comply with the limits for a Class B digital device, pursuant to part 15 of the FCC Rules. These limits are designed to provide reasonable protection against harmful interference in a residential installation. This equipment generates uses and can radiate radio frequency energy and, if not installed and used in accordance with the instructions, may cause harmful interference to radio communications. However, there is no guarantee that interference will not occur in a particular installation. If this equipment does cause harmful interference to radio or television reception, which can be determined by turning the equipment off and on, the user is encouraged to try to correct the interference by one or more of the following measures:

    • Reorient or relocate the receiving antenna.
    • Increase the separation between the equipment and receiver.
    • Connect the equipment into an outlet on a circuit different from that to which the receiver is connected.
    • Consult the dealer or an experienced radio/TV technician for help.
    • The device has been evaluated to meet general RF exposure requirement.

IC Statement
This device complies with Industry Canada licence-exempt RSS standard(s).

Operation is subject to the following two conditions:

  1. This device may not cause harmful interference, and
  2. This device must accept any interference received, including interference that may cause undesired operation of the device. The digital apparatus complies with Canadian CAN ICES-003(B)/NMB-003(B) This device meets the exemption from the routine evaluation limits in section 2.5 of RSS 102 and compliance with RSS 102 RF exposure users can obtain Canadian information on RF exposure and compliance.

RF Exposure Statement
The device has been evaluated to meet general RF exposure requirement. The device can be used in portable exposure conditions without restriction.

Even Realites Limited Warranty
This limited consumer warranty is provided by Even Realities. This limited consumer warranty (the “Warranty”) covers defects and malfunctions in the new Even Realities product(s) it accompanies (the “Product”). The Warranty continues for one (1) year from the date of purchase of the Product (the “Limited Warranty Period”). However, if you purchase the Product from within the EU or EFTA, the Limited Warranty Period shall be two (2) years.

This Warranty is not available to products that were purchased from any source other than Even Realities or an authorized dealer. This Warranty is valid only with proof of purchase that clearly shows the purchase date. If you send us a Product without valid proof of purchase, then we reserve the right to return the Product to you at your cost, subject to prepayment, or, if such costs are not prepaid, we will keep the Product for thirty (30) days for your pick-up. This Warranty is limited and not applicable to any lens scratches. The installation or replacement of any lenses* should be conducted by Even Realities or a Even Realities authorized dealer. Any damage caused by the unauthorized installation, replacement or alteration of the lenses is not covered by this Warranty.

If your Product is defective or malfunctioning, we will either repair or replace that Product, or update software or services, so that the Product performs substantially in accordance with the Warranted Functionality. In some cases, we may insteadrefund the purchase price paid for the Product. Your remedy under this Warranty will be the repair, replacement or refund of the Product as determined by Even Realities, however we will honour your preference for a repair or replacement unless it is impossible or disproportionate for us to do so. This Warranty applies only to those countries to which Even Realities ships and supports. Please visit us at www.evenrealities.com for information about the countries Even Realities supports and to get helpful service and contact information. The scope of technical support offered by Even Realities consists of helping to
diagnose and resolve problems with defects in the Product.

How to make a warranty claim
If you have a problem with your Product, please visit us at www.evenrealities.com to get helpful service and contact information and to submit a claim form to obtain warranty service. Unless specifically stated elsewhere in this Warranty, to make a warranty claim, you need to return your Product to Even Realities or to the authorized dealer from which the product was purchased, together with your proof of purchase.

If your warranty claim is deemed to be valid, and we find a defect or malfunction covered by this Warranty, we will replace or repair the Product so it provides the functionality warranted. Subject to your rights under any local laws, if we determine that a Product should be replaced, the replacement may be a new, refurbished, or a re-manufactured Product. Save for your rights and remedies available under your local laws, the provision of a repaired or replacement product does not restart or otherwise extend the Limited Warranty Period. If we determine, in our sole discretion, that none of the listed means are reasonable to correct a defect or malfunction, then we may refund to you the price you paid to purchase the Product. We may not return the original Product to you. If your warranty claim is not deemed to be valid, then we
reserve the right to return the Product to you at your cost, subject to prepayment, or, if such costs are not prepaid, we will keep the Product for thirty (30) days for
your pick-up before it is disposed of.

IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY TO REMOVE ANY DATA BY RESTORING THE PRODUCT TO FACTORY SETTINGS BEFORE THE PRODUCT IS RETURNED TO EVEN REALITIES OR AN AUTHORIZED DEALER. We cannot guarantee that we will be able to repair the Product without risk to or loss of data, and any replacement product will not contain any of your data that was stored on the original Product. EVEN REALITIES IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY LOSS OF DATA WHATSOEVER EXCEPT WHERE SUCH LOSS IS CAUSED BY OUR FAILURE TO USE REASONABLE CARE AND SKILL. WE WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY LOSS OF DATA CAUSED BY YOUR FAILURE TO COMPLY WITH THE TERMS OF THIS LIMITED WARRANTY.

The Limited Warranty Period is extended by a duration equal to the time during which we had the Product in our possession for performance of the Warranty, as described above.

LIMITATIONS AND EXCLUSIONS
THIS WARRANTY DOES NOT COVER, AND EVEN REALITIES IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR:

  • DELIVERY OR INSTALLATION, OR LABOR CHARGES FOR SETUP OF THE PRODUCT AND/OR ADJUSTMENT OF CUSTOMER CONTROLS ON THE PRODUCT. DAMAGES CAUSED BY MISUSE, ABUSE, ACCIDENTS, FIRE, THEFT, DISAPPEARANCE, MISPLACEMENT, FLUCTUATIONS AND POWER SURGES, CONNECTIONS TO IMPROPER VOLTAGE OR INCORRECT ELECTRICAL LINE VOLTAGE, VIRUSES, MALWARE, RECKLESS, WILLFUL OR INTENTIONAL CONDUCT OR NEGLECT. DAMAGES CAUSED BY SERVICING THE PRODUCT WHICH HAS NOT BEEN PRE-AUTHORIZED BY EVEN REALITIES. DAMAGES CAUSED BY USAGE THAT IS NOT IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE PRODUCT INSTRUCTIONS/DOCUMENTATION. DAMAGES CAUSED BY FAILURE TO FOLLOW THE PRODUCT INSTRUCTIONS/DOCUMENTATION OR FAILURE TO PERFORM CLEANING OR PREVENTIVE MAINTENANCE. DAMAGES CAUSED BY THE COMBINATION OF THE PRODUCT WITH OTHER NON-EVEN REALITIES BRANDED PRODUCTS, ACCESSORIES, PARTS OR COMPONENTS OR USE OF PRODUCTS, EQUIPMENT, SYSTEMS, UTILITIES, SERVICES, SOFTWARE, PARTS SUPPLIES, ACCESSORIES, APPLICATIONS, INSTALLATIONS, REPAIRS, EXTERNAL WIRING OR CONNECTORS NOT SUPPLIED OR AUTHORIZED BY EVEN REALITIES THAT DAMAGE THE PRODUCT. SIGNAL ISSUES, RECEPTION PROBLEMS AND DISTORTION RELATED TO NOISE, ECHO, INTERFERENCE OR OTHER SIGNAL TRANSMISSION AND DELIVERY PROBLEMS. ANY EQUIPMENT OR COMPONENTS THAT WERE NOT INCLUDED IN, OR WITH YOUR PRODUCT AS ORIGINALLY SOLD. NORMAL WEAR AND TEAR, INCLUDING
  • This Warranty does not include any specific guarantees that the Product will be error-free, or regarding uptime or continued availability of data security features of software or online accounts, that any software, firmware or online sites will function uninterrupted or error-free. To the extent prohibited by any applicable law in any other country, this Warranty is void if a Product is returned with removed, damaged or tampered labels or any alterations (including the unauthorized removal of any component or external cover).
  • Lenses can be mounted only by EVEN REALITIES in order to ensure the proper fitting and functionality of the Product.
