CrossWave Cordless Max App Pairing Guide

Experiencing an error when pairing?

• Uninstall & reinstall the BISSELL Connect App

• Factory reset the machine > Hold the mode button (gear icon) on the handle down until you hear 2 beeps (approximately 15 seconds)

• Restart your phone and attempt the pairing process again

• If you are still receiving an error, please refer to the error specific troubleshooting steps in our I can’t connect to My CrossWave, Pairing Errors guide

Do you have an LG phone?

Yes > Go to LG phone settings before attempting to pair

No > Continue to steps below to pair with your robot

Pairing Steps:

• Step 1: Download the BISSELL Connect app from Apple app store or Google Play store
• Step 2: Connect CrossWave Cordless Max to BISSELL Connect
• Step 3: Connecting the product to WiFi
• Step 4: Setting-up the CrossWave
• Step 5: Update Available – Firmware

Step 1: Download the BISSELL Connect app from Apple app store or Google Play store

• Having difficulty downloading the app? Make sure there is enough storage available on your device and a strong internet connection
  • If the problem persists, restart your device and try again
  • If the BISSELL Connect App still will not download onto your device, contact your phone service provider

Step 2: Connect CrossWave Cordless Max to BISSELL Connect App

• Create a BISSELL account to sign in, or sign in via Google or Facebook

  • If using Facebook to log in you can only be logged into one Facebook account on your mobile device

• Select product – CrossWave Cordless Max

  • If you have previously created an accout click on the hamburger menu on the top left corner of the app
  • Click the plus sign and select a product to add

• Remove the clean water tank to find the QR code

• Scan the QR code

  • If prompted to give BISSELL Access to your Camera > Click Go to Settings > Turn the toggle next to “Camera” on

• Hold the gear button on the handle for 5 seconds until it beeps > Click “Ok, it’s flashing”

• App will show CrossWave Cordless Max is connecting to the phone – this could take a few minutes

  • When prompted that BISSELL wants to join Wi-Fi Network to find and connect to devices on your local network > Click “Join”

• Once connection is successful it will be indicated on app

  • WiFi light on the machine will change from blinking blue to solid blue

• Select next

Step 3: Connecting the product to WiFi

• Connect the CrossWave Cordless Max to your home WiFi Network.

  • If network does not show up right away, try selecting “Rescan” at the bottom of the screen
  • To change the WiFi network that your CrossWave Cordless Max is connected to, go to the settings screen within the app and click on the WiFi settings option and then follow the prompts
    • If your home WiFi network is not appearing in the selection make sure you are using a 2.4 GhZ frequency WiFi connection, a 5 GhZ frequency will not show up

• Enter WiFi Password

• App will show pairing screen

  • WiFi light on UI panel will change from solid blue light to blue/white alternating blink, this means that it is attempting to connect to your internet
  • After machine pairs to internet, the WiFi light on the Digital Display will change to a white blinking light, this means it is connected to the internet and is attempting to connect to the cloud to finish pairing

• “Finalizing Complete” means the machine has successfully paired to the internet

  • The WiFi light on the machine will change to solid white

Step 4: Setting-up the CrossWave Cordless Max

• Name the CrossWave Cordless Max

• Register the CrossWave Cordless Max by providing the “Date Purchased” and “Store Purchased” information and click “Submit”

  • After you register your machine you can access Warranty information within the BISSELL App

Step 5: Update Available – Firmware

• Click the hamburger menu on the upper left corner of your screen

• Click on the CrossWave if update is indicated

• Click on the gear button on the top right of the product screen

• Choose Firmware on the settings page

• Click Update Firmware

• Keep BISSELL App open during Firmware update
