ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS / INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE

Unpack the components carefully. Please check all parts have been removed from the packaging.

Find an ideal Place for the Solar Light.

Place the solar light in an area where it will receive direct sunlight for at least 8 hours per day. The number of hours the light will illuminate is directly proportional to the hours of sunlight it receives. If the light is placed in a shaded area, it will not be able to fully charge and its illumination time will be limited. Do not place the light near other outdoor lighting like porch or streetlights. These may fool the sensor and keep the light from coming on, or cause it to turn off automatically.

CHARGING AND OPERATION

  1. Firstly, press down button which is on the backside of the solar panel to “ON” position for charging and charge by placing it in direct sunlight for at least 8 hours. Secondly, press down the button again to “OFF” position, the light will be off and stop charging.
  2. The light will work automatically after first pressing the button.
It will charge in direct sunlight during the day time and illuminate at night.

NOTE: In order to check the solar function, firstly press down the button; then place the solar panel in the sunlight; finally, cover the solar panel with your hand and light should turn “ON” automatically.

IMPORTANT:

  1. Install the solar light in an area where it can get direct sunlight.
  2. Leave the button in the “ON” position.
  3. Select an outdoor location away from other light sources at night, such as street lights which may cause the product not to turn on automatically at night.
  4. Duration of light depends on solar product’s level of sunshine exposure, geographical locations, weather conditions and the hours of daylight.

MAINTENANCE AND TROUBLESHOOTING

  1. Make sure the switch is set to “ON” position.
  2. Keep the solar panel clean.
  3. If solar product does not light up after it has been used for around 8 – 12 months, replace the rechargeable batteries as they may be weak or worn out. (Battery 1pc “AA” 1.2v 600Mah, Ni-MH, Rechargeable– Same equivalent type as recommended must be used).

Care and Maintenance Recommendations

  1. Clean solar panel with a soft sponge every couple of weeks.
  2. Make sure all connectors are still tight and no water getting in.
  3. During the winter if you can bring it inside and give a good clean ready for next year.
