SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
Please note the following safety instructions. Failure to do so may result in serious damage to the charger and batteries.
- Do not store the charger at temperatures below 5°C or over 50°C.
- Keep the charger away from dust, moisture, rain, heat, direct sunlight and vibrations. Do not drop.
- Only use this charger on heat-resistant, non-flammable, non-conductive surfaces. Never place it on carpets, car seats or similar surfaces.
- Only charge power packs indicated in the instructions.
- Do not use a voltage or charge higher than that stipulated by the manufacturer of the battery pack.
- Check carefully that the charger is set to the correct battery type (e.g. LiPo, NiMh ) and the applicable technical specifications (e.g. number of cells, voltage).
- A lithium polymer (LiPo) battery pack should be put in a LiPo charging bag or on a fire-resistant surface during charging.
- If your battery shows evidence of any abnormalities during the charging process (overheating, hissing, swelling), remove the battery from the charger immediately and place it away from people and flammable materials.
- Never take the charger apart nor make any modifications to it.
- Never attempt to use the charger to charge or discharge non-rechargeable batteries or damaged battery packs.
- Keep the charger away from children.
- Never leave the charger unattended when connected to the power supply.
TECHNICAL DATA

WARNING !!
Selection mode “LiH” is only suitable for lithium rechargeable batteries with
an end-of-charge voltage of 4.35V.
This function cannot be used for any other type of battery!
Do not charge any batteries such as LiPo, Liion or LiFe with an end-of-charge voltage of 4.20V or less!
Do not change the battery type while charging is in progress!
SPECIAL FEATURES
Voltage balancer for Li-polymer battery.
The Charger has an individual-cell-voltage balancer inside. It does not need a separate balancer when charging Li-poly battery.
Maximum safety
Delta-Peak sensitivity :
The automatic charge termination program works on the principle of the Delta-
Peak voltage detection.
Capacity limit :
The charging capacity is calculated by a multiple of the charging current and
time. If the charging capacity exceeds the limit, the process will be
terminated automatically when you set the maximum value.
Temperature limit :
The temperature of the battery on charging will rise by its internal chemical
reaction. If you set a temperature limit the process will be terminated when
the limit is reached.
Processing time :
You can also restrict the maximum process time to prevent any possible damage.
Input power monitor: To protect the car battery from being damaged (when used
as power input) the voltage is
always monitored. If it drops below the lower limit the process will
automatically be ended.
High-power and high-performance circuit
The Charger employs the circuit that has maximum output power of 100W. As a
result it can charge or discharge up to 8 cells of NiCd/ NiMH and 4 series of
Li-poly batteries with maximum current of 10.0A.
PROGRAM FLOW CHART
MENU GUIDANCE OPERATION
Presetting parameters :
„User Programm Setup“
Enter/Start – INC/DEC
CHK Time :
The charger automatically checks the number of cells in lithium batteries.
If the batteries are deeply discharged, errors in voltage detection can occur.
Factory setting 10min
In the case of batteries with a low capacity, the time span up to detection should not be selected so long, otherwise the charging process will already be completed before cell detection is complete.
Serious accidents can occur here.
LITHIUM BATTERY PROGRAM
Use these programs only when charging a lithium battery: LiHv 3,8V / 4,35V
Selection of the correct lithium battery: LiFe 3,3V / 3,6V
Nominal voltage / end-of-charge voltage
LiIon 3,6V / 4,1V Select battery „Batt.Type“
LiPo 3,7V / 4,2V Nominal voltage cell count
„Status“ „INC“+/-

STORAGE CONTROL LITHIUM BATTERY
DISCHARGING LITHIUM BATTERY
VOLTAGE BALANCING AND MONITORING DURING THE DISCHARGE
The processor monitors the voltage of the individual cells. The balancer plug of the battery must be used for this. If there is a change or a greater difference between the cells, the charging process is terminated immediately (error message).
By pressing the „INC“ key you can determine which cell is defective.
NIMH/NICD BATTERY PROGRAM
These programs are used to charge or discharge NiMH (nickel metal hydride) or NiCd (nickel cadmium) batteries, which are commonly used for model applications.
To change press the Start / Enter key. „Display values are flashing“ Change the value with the INC or DEC button. The value is saved by pressing the Start / Enter key once.
To start the process, press the Start / Enter button for more than 3 seconds.

PB BATTERY PROGRAM
This programm is for charging Pb (lead-acid) battery with a nominal voltage of 6 or 12V. Pb batteries are totally different from NiCd or NiMH batteries. They can only deliver relatively low current compared to their capacity, and similar restrictions apply to their charging abilities. So the optimum charge current will be 1/10 of the capacity. Pb batteries must not be fast charged. Always follow the battery Manufacturer’s instructions.
