  • Output voltage: corresponds to the input voltage
  • Current per output: max. 100mA

ASSEMBLING THE ROTATING BEACON

LIGHTING MODULE

The lighting module has 4 outputs (each with a max. 100mA) and there is a choice of 6 different settings. With a 3-way tumbler switch or 2/3-way momentary switch (on-off-on), two settings can be programmed and activated via the remote control.

CONNECTING THE ROTATING BEACON

Connect the module directly to a free channel on the receiver. Pay attention to the polarity.

If the module and outputs are powered by the receiver (BEC), the jumper must be inserted on the left. In this case, do NOT connect the cable for the external power supply. The output voltage for this setup scenario is 5 V (BEC voltage from the receiver). The outputs can also be powered by an external power supply with a maximum voltage of 7.2 V. In this case, the jumper must be inserted in the right-hand position. Ensure that the connections are made with the correct polarity.

WARNING!
Connecting the cable with reverse polarity will result in damage or a defect!

FUNCTIONS OF THE CONTROL BOARD

FIG 3 FUNCTIONS OF THE CONTROL BOARD.JPG

The board is activated when the power supply to the RC receiver (BEC) is switched on and it re-learns the zero position of the switch at every switch- on. In the course of this, the miniature lamps at the output light up at half brightness. During this time, the button/ switch should be in the “Off” position. Otherwise, malfunctions can occur. Once the miniature lamps have gone off, the module is ready for operation.

The programmes can be activated by pressing the button/switch once and deactivated by pressing the button/switch again.

Upon delivery the module is configured as follows:

Programme1: Rotating beacon function A clockwise 40ms
Programme2: Rotating beacon function B anti-clockwise 40ms

Programme 1: Sets the “clockwise” rotary direction via the switch,
Programme 2, ” anti-clockwise” rotary direction. If the programme is changed from programme 1 to programme 2, for example, the previously activated programme is ended automatically. And vice-versa.
